Carnivals: Claimed By The Deranged Alpha Prince [BL]-Chapter 210: Confrontation
Chapter 210: Confrontation
Jules’ pov
My heart was pounding so hard that it was making me feel dizzy. Xander’s scent was clouding my head in an unpleasant way, and a scent which I once found appealing made me nauseous. He had a glint in his eyes as he kept staring at Kai, waiting on a response.
Kai still had a hold on my arm and I shrugged his hold off, feeling disgusted that someone as manipulative as him had his hand on me for a few moments. That made the two alphas glance down at me and I swallowed emptily, clearing my throat while my gaze darted towards the door.
"I want to leave." I breathed out, taking a step sideways, trying to step away from their midst but Xander only snorted.
"You’re going nowhere, bunny." He scorned and I flinched, the endearment sounded very much condescending, like he was mocking me, and the hate I had for him increased even more.
"I’m not scared of you if that’s what you’re hoping for, I know Blaze is gonna have something to say once he finds out that you’re holding me against my will." I kept my voice as steady as possible as I spoke, while I was completely panicking on the inside.
I briefly remembered the last time I was in a predicament with Xander and Kim had shown up, he had talked about how I was supposed to use other strategies to get myself out of that situation instead of bringing up Blaze. But the thought of trying to appeal to Xander like Kim had done that day, pressing up all over him and letting him get his hands all over him, sent a disgusted feeling through my insides.
Xander’s scowl darkly at the mention of Blaze and my heartbeat accelerated at once. He stalked towards me at once and I squealed, silently cursing myself out just as Kai’s hand clamped on my arm once again, tugging me into his side.
I stiffened, growing rigid and panicked. I didn’t want Kai’s hands on me, but that was better that having Xander get to me, which was the only reason why I didn’t shove Kai off once again.
"Stay out of this, Kai." Xander spat out and Kai snorted, sounding bored as he spoke.
"And... Why the hell would I do that?"
"Because you were just threatening him with a secret before I arrived, don’t bother acting like you’re worried about him now." Xander snapped.
"That’s different, and that wasn’t a threat. Why were you even listening?"
Xander folded his arms. "Are you gonna let me in on the secret or not?" He demanded and my heart lurched into my throat, while I silently hoped Kai wouldn’t ever reveal my secret to Xander of all people.
"Why do you wanna know?" Kai asked instead of outrightly refusing him.
"Because we have unfinished business together." Xander drawled in response and once again, Kai snorted.
"Could this be the same unfinished business that made you go home a week to the competition day because you got beaten up?" Kai crooned and I bit on my bottom lip as Xander’s face twisted with anger.
"Watch your tongue." He warned but Kai only snickered. Having had enough, I shrugged Kai’s hand off my arm and stepped away from the two of them.
"I’m not telling you a thing, Xander. You can leave whenever you want." Kai finally answered with a shrug and I felt a little bit of relief flooding my insides. I honestly feel surprised by this encounter because somehow I used to think someone like Kai would be afraid of Xander, but this encounter had just proven me wrong.
They were still staring at each other when I hurriedly ran for the door, but before I could get it open, a hand clamped on my collar, sharply jerking me backward and I choked as the shirt cut off my windpipe. I fell on the ground, gasping for air. I had no idea of who it was that pulled me backward between the two alphas, but before I could do anything else, the door burst open and Blaze stood in the doorway.
He had a scowl on his face as soon as his gaze landed on me and I massaged my throat as I got to my feet just as he stepped into the restroom.
His eyes trailed over my body, and then he was closing the distance between us and cupping my face. My heart fluttered uncontrollably in my chest as I grasped his wrists, feeling relief consume every inch of me now that he was present.
"Are you hurt?" He asked as his thumb stroked along the front of my throat where my shirt had bitten into and I nodded, clearing my throat a little.
He stared at me for a moment longer before his gaze darted at the other two people in the restroom. He stared between them once again before shaking his head and tugging me against his chest, hand settling around my shoulder. I buried my face into his chest and inhaled lungful of his scent at once.
"Alexander, care to explain what this means?" Blaze questioned and I pulled my face out of his chest to stare at the unfolding scene. Xander was scowling as he threw his hand out.
"I didn’t put my hands on him." He snapped at once, and beside him, Kai snorted.
Blaze chuckled while shaking his head, but nothing about the laugh sounded funny.
"He was held here against his will, no? Who was behind that?" He continued, dark gaze darting between the two alphas. Kai still had an unreadable expression on, while Xander’s signature scowl was on his face as well.
The two alphas remained silent and Blaze scoffed while shaking his head, and then he peered down at me.
"Who prevented you from leaving here?" He asked and I nodded at Xander without hesitation.
Xander spluttered angrily, pointing a hand at me as if to say something but Blaze cut him off.
"Why are you so strung up on my mate?" He questioned, sounding genuinely curious.
"No one is strung up on that whore." He snapped out in response and I bit on my bottom lip, watching as Blaze’s jaw clenched.
"Oh, so this is how it’s gonna be?" Blaze crooned, and then he whipped out his phone and dialed a number.
"You know who I’m calling?" Blaze drawled, continuing before Xander could respond.
"I’m calling your father."
