"This is Mason, he’s a shapeshifter." I began. "This is Archie, he’s a lycan and an alpha." I explained, pointing at one of the four guys who are always around me in school. I glanced down at Labyrinth as I spoke, watching as he gnawed on his bottom lip as he nodded slowly.

"And this is Mike, he’s a werewolf and an alpha. The fourth one is Jason and he’s a dragon shifter." I continued almost immediately. I was introducing Labyrinth to my friends, the only people I ever hang around with here in school.

I’ve never introduced them to anyone before, this was completely different because this is my mate and because I’ve talked about him to them before.

We aren’t that close, because they don’t know that much about my past... so calling them friends might be a reach, but they’re still people I’d want to introduce to my mate.

"Nice to meet you all." Labyrinth offered politely as he blinked slowly, cheeks coloring a little under their stares.

Jason, the one who had offered a little help to me one time after my mate had walked into trouble like he just couldn’t stop doing, being the trouble magnet that he is– offered his hand to my mate for a handshake.

’My mate’.

I’d never tire of referring to him as that.

"We finally meet. I hope you’re doing alright. I haven’t heard a lot of things about you, but I’ve definitely seen a lot of you around school since you enrolled." He drawled and I rolled my eyes a little, watching as Labyrinth blushed a little.

After a few more exchanges between them all, I steered him away from them, heading for the elevator next. We were already done for the day and I couldn’t wait for us to get back home where we’d be completely alone in.

Today has been an eventful day, and I feel exhausted even though I barely did a thing. I had a feeling that had to do with the encounter I had with my cousin, Kai.

I wasn’t sure of where Kai came into this entire situation, if he was just working with my father while also genuinely liking Labyrinth, or if he was just trying to get to labyrinth because of an order my father gave him. I couldn’t be so sure, and I’d really like to figure that out.

It wasn’t a secret that everyone expects my father to crown Kai as his heir. He has always been spotted beside my father while I was being hidden away, so everyone definitely expects that to happen. But my father still has me as his heir, even though our relationship is extremely bad, even though he hates me and never bothers to hide it.

Kai is a Leech, and I’ve always disliked him since I could remember. I don’t know what his deal is, but if he decides to step on my toes, I won’t hesitate to snap his throat.

The class president was the first person I saw after I stepped out of the elevator with Labyrinth. He did a double take, like everyone had been doing since we waltzed into school today.

The class president is someone I have no problem with. He is also a special student but he always minds his business and stay in his lane, and that’s all I’d ever ask for.

He informed us of a party taking place tonight in the second block of the special building and after we parted ways, we head straight for the car waiting outside to pick us up.

"What’s the party for?" Labyrinth asked as I carded my fingers through his soft hair. I had felt extremely angry on opening the restroom door and finding him hunched over on the ground, it had consumed me with an immense feeling of rage. I hated the thought of him being hurt so much.

"Probably a welcome back party." I responded as I leaned against the backrest of the car.

"The only party I attended, which was hosted in the special student blocked, sucked immensely." He mumbled and I arched a brow.

"It did? I remember it. I saw you for a bit in the crowd that night. Why didn’t you enjoy it?" I asked and he let out a small huff.

"Taylor left me alone and in the crowd, two vampires held me against my will and danced against me for a bit... all in all, it had sucked big time." He continued and everything soured up within me at once.

"Two vampires?" I asked, already feeling my wolf rear up its head possessively. This is something only he has been able to trigger within me. I never used to feel protective or possessive towards anyone before, until him.

"Yeah, but you already killed them that particular night whereby I passed out after they held me captive." He explained and I blinked slowly, the memory slowly flooding my brains.

That particular night whereby they also revealed to me that they were sent by Eugene.

"Oh." I snorted, and then I cupped his face. "That’s splendid then." I drawled around a chuckle and he blushed cutely, leaning his cheek into my palm, and making the spot in my chest squeeze tight.

We didn’t need to go to the party tonight. It wasn’t mandatory, nothing ever is to me. But I wanted to erase the horrible experience he had the last time he attended one, and also because I still have the lewd urge to flaunt him to everyone.

Which is why we’re going tonight.

This is the first time I’d be going to a party with someone, with a date.

I usually go the parties alone, and in most cases, I always end up in one of the empty rooms with a few overeager omegas.

However, tonight is gonna be different.

I crouched and helped Labyrinth into his converse, chuckling at how small his shoes were compared to mine. He pouted on noticing the reason why I was laughing and that made me laugh harder.

"They’re very cute, bunny." I told him but he scowled and shoved at my chest, but I trapped his wrists in my hand and tugged him forward till he was falling into my laps.

I took his lips in a searing kiss that lasted for a few seconds, enjoying the dazed expression across his face when I broke the kiss and rose to my feet, and as I helped him up, I grinned down at him as my eyes raked over his body.

Everyone’s eyes is gonna be on him tonight.
