Carnivals: Claimed By The Deranged Alpha Prince [BL]-Chapter 238: A Choice
Chapter 238: A Choice
Chapter 237
Blaze’s pov
"Well, that was definitely something." Roy said beside me, breathing hard. We had just been dropped off by a carriage that rivaled the speed of a car. As soon as we got dropped off, the carriage disappeared into thin air. The entire world we had just been in was nowhere to be found, but now I know my way around when next I want to come back, even though Raine had ordered me not to.
I understood why she was angry at me. Apparently, my mother abandoned her daughter to go be with my father and start a new life in the midst of werewolves, which was why she detested werewolves so much.
"I’m gonna come back." I tell Roy on glancing at him, and to his credit, he didn’t even seem surprised.
"Is that chick really your sister? So you have a sister this whole time?" He asked, awe clear in his voice and I chuckled bitterly. All my life, I spent it alone and in confusion, not knowing I had a whole other life and a fucking sibling.
"Yup, she is. Can you believe she’s over a hundred years old?" I asked and Roy’s mouth fell open. That had been my exact reaction when that voice in that creepy room kept giving me explanations after explanations to questions I didn’t even realize I had.
I patted my pockets and fished my phone, and just as Raine had claimed, it was back to working now that we were no longer in that castle.
My screen lit up and I blinked slowly, eyes zeroing in on the amount of calls I’ve missed.
30 missed calls from my mate.
13 missed calls from Kim.
What the fuck happened...?
Worry began to swell within me as I opened my phone and dialed Labyrinth’s phone and as feared, it was switched off. I cursed underneath my breath and instantly sailed Kim’s number, it went through, but he didn’t answer it.
"Fucking hell." I swore just as Roy peered at me, asking me what was wrong. I told him about the missed calls and that I was worried something had happened.
"I have to return back right now." I explained as I pocketed my phone.
"Let me come with you, in case something really did happen." He offered. I hesitated, I hated getting Roy into carnivals, not because it was a hassle to teleport him into the premises, but I wanted to keep him far away from the whole mess that is centered around the special students in the school.
I nodded and scrubbed my hand over my face. "Alright then. Let’s do this."
~~~
Andrian was a psycho.
A big, mad one.
I had thought I could disregard his order to not bring anyone with me by letting Kim come with me since he offered and since I was scared to go to him alone.
However, when we got to the principal’s office which was unlocked and empty on the inside, safe for an opened portal at the left side of the room. The portal was created to fit just one person, making it impossible for Kim to be able to come with me.
Since I had to go on my own, I urged Kim to find Blaze at all costs and tell him about what had happened and where I was headed to.
When Kim tugged me into a tight hug and whispered that he didn’t want me to die and prayed I would return unhurt, I squeezed him tightly and tried my best not to cry.
On getting into the portal, it instantly closed up, and the other side opened up in a bright looking garden. I let my eyes wander around as I stepped forward, confusion engulfing my mind. I had expected the portal to lead to a dark room where he’d be waiting for me with Elio or something.
"Looking for something?" Andrian’s familiar voice drawled and I spinned around, eyes widening as it fell on a lazy looking Andrian who had his hands in his pockets. The sun caught his face and enhanced his features. I hurriedly closed the distance between us.
"Where is he? You bastard, where the hell is he?" I demanded and he crackled.
"Why are you in such a rush? You just got here. Fucking chill." He crooned before pulling my phone from my pocket before I could pull away. He switched it off and pocketed it and I bristled with anger but I knew there was nothing I could really do right now, and so I exhaled slowly and spoke quietly.
"Where is he please? I just want to confirm he’s alright, I beg of you."
He pressed his lips together before rolling his eyes. "Ugh, fine."
He whipped out his phone and tapped away on it and after a bit, two guys arrived from a corner with a tied up Elio. My heart flew into my throat as I rushed up to him and gripped his hands, apologizing profusely and trying to hold my tears from the amount of guilt I was feeling right now.
"I’m so sorry, this is all my fault. I promise nothing’s gonna happen to you, I’ll do everything I can to ensure that." I spoke fast and without break. His eyes were reddened and he looked extremely scared, nodding frantically to everything I was saying like he was in too much shock to use his mouth. I felt extremely grateful that he wasn’t pushing me away right now.
When Andrian ordered for the men to tie Elio against a tree, I bristled and ordered him to let my friend go since I’m already here.
He clicked his tongue. "Not so fast, I need him here in case you choose not to cooperate. I don’t have all day. If I ask you to do something and you waste too much time, he’s gonna suffer from it and you’d be forced to watch."
"I’ll do whatever you tell me to, just let him go, please, he has nothing to do with this." I tried again and Andrian snorted.
"He’s staying and that’s final. Now; unto the next step." As he spoke, he gave a signal to the two bulky men who walked off and returned a bit with three women who looked to be in their mid twenties. I instantly tensed up, watching as the women reluctantly walked to the middle of the garden and began to draw up something on the ground. I didn’t need anyone to tell me that these women were witches and were undoubtedly drawing up something for a ritual.
"What’s that for?" I demanded, letting my eyes wander around while trying to figure out where we currently are, but nothing was coming to mind. The floor of the garden was a brown sandy color, and I guess Andrian chose to do this here because rituals worked more when drawn on sand than tiles, rugs or concrete.
"To sever the mate bond between you and Blaze. That needs to happen before the ritual to unlock your powers can be carried out. That was why those previous powers didn’t work out, because you were already forming a connection with that wolf. But all of that is getting severed today." He announced and my mouth fell open, my eyes widening and my heartbeat accelerating at once. My hand covered the side of my throat as I stepped back, chin jutted.
"Are you crazy? Sever my mate b- bond? That’s never gonna happen!" I hurled at him in response, feeling scared and angry at the same time at the thought of that happening alone.
"I won’t waste time arguing with you." Andrian responded, and then he motioned to the two men who walked off to Elio. ƒreewebɳovel.com
"On my command, they’re gonna hurt your friend. That’s what you want? Because if you don’t, then fucking step into that circle right now." He ordered, face dark with anger and I silently cursed within myself over and over again, I was completely trapped here. I hadn’t even thought of this happening at all when I embarked on this journey to go to Elio to prevent him from getting hurt.
My mate bond? Getting severed?
Thinking of that was making me feel sick. How can Andrian be this wicked? I heard severed bonds can be harmful and life threatening, plus I wasn’t sure I could survive without this connection I’ve formed with Blaze.
It was either the mate bond gets severed or Elio gets killed.
Oh heavens. Why is this happening now of all time now that Blaze wasn’t available?
"Get into the fucking circle. I won’t repeat myself again." Andrian called out and after one look at the large white circle, and a glance at the three witches who were clearly forced to be here, I exhaled and shook my head.
"I’m sorry, I can’t do that. Maybe something else but my mate bond–" I was still speaking when Andrian ordered the two men to hurt Elio. One of the men hit Elio in the side so hard that I heard a crack. Elio cried out loudly and the sound bit at every inch of my inside, making me feel like the worst person ever. I couldn’t stand Elio being in pain because of me and I hurriedly stopped them from hurting him by agreeing to step through the circle.
"That’s more like it." Andrian crooned and I gritted my teeth as I stepped into the circle. Andrian nodded at the three women who then began to walk around the circle while humming a spell. As soon as the circle glowed, the woman channeled their energies into the circle, letting sparkling brown burst of magic into the circle.
It began to grow warm before the women stepped away. When I glanced at Andrian, he grinned at me.
"Sadly, your friend’s gonna have to die right now. After all that he has witnessed, he can’t leave here alive." As he spoke, he nodded to the two men and I screamed, trying to stop them from hurting Elio and trying to get Andrian to listen to me, but it was too late.
The two men whipped out knives and began to stab Elio to my utter bewilderment.
I tried getting out of the fiercely glowing circle but realized that my feet were rooted to the sand. I screamed and screamed as Elio’s blood pooled everywhere, till blood muffled his screams, till I collapsed in the circle and passed out.
