Carnivals: Claimed By The Deranged Alpha Prince [BL]-Chapter 237: Answers
Chapter 237: Answers
Blaze’s pov
My eyes widened just as my mouth parted. Beside me, Roy was fully frozen, mouth hanging open.
Did she just refer to me as brother?
I blinked once, feeling completely unnerved. "How- did you..." I began, watching as the girl sneered before throwing a dark glare my way.
"Well, for one... you own a mirror from where you came from, no? Because clearly, we both look like mother." She snapped and my eyes widened even more and I watched as she rolled her eyes which were just as dark as mine. It really did feel like I was staring at the female version of myself, although there were features on her which I do not possess.
Two small horns were protruding from the sides of her head, right from the curls of her dark hair. She wasn’t as tall as I was, but she wasn’t short either. I blinked once again, feeling too stunned to make sense of what I was currently witnessing.
"I don’t... I don’t understand. You know my- my mother?" I questioned, hand pressed against my forehead. The girl held my gaze for a few moments before turning away and walking straight ahead. I remained in the same position, unsure of what to do next.
"What are you waiting for? C’mon." She snapped after stopping and throwing a glance at me from across her shoulder. My lips went in a thin line and I remained in the same position.
"Why? Where are you going? Why the hell would I follow you to where I don’t know?" I snapped and she rolled her eyes.
"But you’re in here right now, aren’t you? Isn’t this somewhere you don’t know?" She drawled, sounding almost bored and I exhaled with a shrug.
"You’re here to find answers to so many questions, aren’t you? Then you had better come with me." She snapped, turning back around and resuming her walk before I could get another word out.
I glanced at Roy and finally loosened my hold on his arm. "You okay, man?"
He scowled and shook his head. "Of course not! Did you see the horns on her head? And why did she call you her brother? I think we should leave."
I pursed my lips before sighing and shaking my head. "I think we should go with her so I can get some answers. She called me her brother, there’s no way I’m leaving here without finding out what that meant."
After that, we trudged down another hall albeit very bright this time. It almost seemed like the woman leading us was floating on air, she was cloaked in black robes which blended in with her hair and eyes. She finally stopped in front of a large black door and then held the door open before throwing me a glance.
"Go on in. You’ll find everything you’re looking for in there." She explained and my eyes widened as my gaze darted between her and the eerily creepy door.
"Are you insane? You expect us to go in there without you?" I demanded and for a moment, her eyes flashed darkly.
"watch your mouth." She breathed out calmly and I felt anger churn within me. Does this girl know who I am? Most people cannot even look me in the eyes while talking to me.
"That’s the gate of the fates. You’ll find all your answers in there, and you aren’t going in with your friend. This is a journey you’re going to carry out on your own." She continued, nose wringing when her gaze locked with Roy and I instantly stepped in front of him, automatically feeling protective.
"If I go in there, are you gonna hurt him? Because you can’t hurt him, no one can." I snapped and she rolled her eyes like she was bored.
"You realize I can kill him with a snap of my finger, right? Smart people watch their mouths around me." She shot back and I huffed, feeling irritated from just having a conversation with someone looking this identical to me.
"I don’t care, just don’t hurt him if I go meet whatever’s behind that creepy door." I breathed out, combing my fingers through my hair from frustration.
She folded her arms. "I can’t make promises, I hate werewolves."
I scoffed, gesturing to myself. "I’m a werewolf, why aren’t you attempting to kill me?"
She sneered this time. "Because the fates seems to believe you’re better off alive... and I guess because you’re just half wolf unlike your friend who’s a full werewolf."
I blinked slowly as her words registered within me. "What...? What do you mean by–"
"Just go in, you’ll find the answers to everything in there." She gestured to the door once again. I stared at her hard for a few moments before turning around and promising Roy that I’d be In and out before he realized it, promising him that he’d not get yurt as well. I didn’t even know who this woman was, but I just felt like she wouldn’t hurt Roy because of me.
As I stepped into the room which was pitch black, the door snapped close beside me. I remained still, trying not to reveal any emotions. I was confused and a little scared but none of that was obvious on the outside.
After a few moments, I began to hear a low hum, gradually growing till everything around me began to lighten up. It started off with spots on the ground, then the walls, till everywhere including the open roof glowed.
Suddenly, a sharp gust of wind blew. It was like it wanted to throw me off, and I held my ground firmly, refusing to close my eyes as the wind lashed at every part of my body.
Moments later, a soft voice echoed through the entire atmosphere, floating straight into my ears.
"Welcome home, sweet child."

When I stepped out of the door, as soon as it slammed close behind me by an invisible force, I collapsed against it because it suddenly felt like the air got sucked right out of me.
My eyes widened as all I just found out began to dance around the inside of my mind. It was hard to process half of what I discovered today, and I almost couldn’t believe that that had just happened.
There, I finally got answers to questions I’ve had since I was a child. The voice seemed to belong to a being that existed for centuries. In there, I also got to understand what I actually am, along with the bond I shared with my mate. So many things began to make more sense, my childhood, my father’s hate for me, the powers I possessed that didn’t relate to werewolves– everything now made sense for the first time.
I grabbed my head which suddenly began to pound. My eyes fell close and I exhaled slowly, trying to stop my mind from processing a thousand things at once. Once my mind was finally empty, a single thought resurfaced.
My mate.
I shot off the door, hurriedly patting my pocket for my phone and whipping it out, trying to dial his number.
"That shit doesn’t work down here." A familiar voice drawled and I stiffened as I watched the girl who I now understood was my sister, slowly approach me. I suddenly didn’t know what to say to her.
She folded her arms a few feet away. "Clearly, you now understand that we’re siblings." She stated in a bored tone and I awkwardly cleared my throat.
"You don’t like me and I understand why –" I was still speaking when her eyes flashed with stark anger and in the next moment, she was before me, sharp nail grazing my throat.
"Of course I don’t like you, I hate you with everything in me. You’re the reason mother is no more." The venom in her voice scorched my skin and I closed my eyes as some of the things I learned back in that room flashed through my mind.
"Look... I- I didn’t know about any of this until today, and I’m sorry about... about our mother, okay? I didn’t even get to meet her, at least you got to know her while growing up." As soon as the words left her mouth, her eyes flashed again before she slowly stepped away from me, face dark with anger.
"Your friend is waiting for you." She announced, and she walked again before I could say anything else.
I let out a long sigh and dragged my hand across my face, falling into steps behind her.
After I got Roy who was actually cozed up in front of a feast, I asked Raine why my phone wasn’t working because I just felt the urge to confirm if my mate was alright.
"Things like that don’t work down here. They’d work once you leave." She explained briskly, back facing me.
There was so much that I wanted to ask her, so many things which I still didn’t understand. But I guess I could always come back later.
As if reading my mind, she spoke coldly. "Don’t come back after leaving, no one wants you here."
