Carnivals: Claimed By The Deranged Alpha Prince [BL]-Chapter 329: Revelation
Chapter 329: Revelation
Jules pov
"What?" I echoed, unable to believe my ears. My eyes were blown wide as I turned around to stare at my council members who were tied up in twos, all over the ground like peasants. I let out a disbelieving sound, still unable to comprehend what I was listening to right now.
"I made a lot of findings, I dug in deep, and some things didn’t seem right to me." Blaze began to explain as he walked deeper into the room and didn’t stop till he was in the middle of the tied up men. Clearly they were now scared of Blaze because now they’re all tensed up then they were moments ago.
"First, after doing some digging, I discovered that they usually have meetings without you, and that’s not even the interesting part. The interesting part is that they have meeting with someone else, someone they actually want as their king in place of you." He revealed and my mouth fell open as I gaped at him in shock right now, completely unable to believe my ears right now.
"What?? Are you serious??" I cried out in shock with my heart lodged in my throat. My legs shook a little and I almost crumbled to the ground but I managed to gather myself together just as Blaze continued; eyes eyes darting over the council members as they continued.
"Oh, yes, my dear husband." He responded and I swallowed emptily.
"Guess who the person they were planning to replace you with." He continued and I tried coming up with a name but I ended up with nothing.
"Jetro?" I questioned, mentioning the name of my eldest cousin, the one who never bothered to hide his disdain for me at the very beginning. Now he was more respectful and all, but I wouldn’t put it past him because cleerly if I hadn’t ended up returning, he was the one who the throne was supposed to be passed to as the son of my mother’s immediate brother.
"Nah, although I did suspect him." Blaze responded as he moved towards the leader of the council to bend beside him. The man had his teeth clenched and his eyes angry, this was an expression I’ve never seen him wear before. Blaze clicked his tongue before digging his hand into the man’s hair and pulling hard.
"How about you continue from where I stopped? Who was the one you guys were planning to replace my mate with? Go ahead and reveal the details yourself." Blaze growled, voice sharp and low but it clearly still had the desired effect it was supposed to because the council leader’s face paled as he began to speak. For the first time ever, his voice wasn’t strong and firm or filled with confidence. Instead it was low and shaky and unsure.
"I- we planned to put my son on the throne after killing off the king." He revealed and I let out a stunned gasp, mouth hanging open in utmost disbelief.
This was something I never saw coming and something I never imagined happening. After I took over the throne, I worked on the council members and took out the bad eggs. I had thought these ones were the good ones and that they had my interest in their hearts, especially after they pledged to be loyal to me. I had no idea of all that had been a lie and that they’re as horrible as the rest of the council members I kicked out.
"But- but why?" I finally managed to whisper and this time, the council leader clenched his jaw tight. Blaze still had a firm grip in his hair and at this point, his face was getting flushed.
"Because you’re never gonna make a good king no matter what! You’re just too small, too soft and just... like some rumors say, you still feel like a freak no matter what!" The council leader snapped out and instantly, the wind got knocked out of my lungs.
"Oh." I whispered quietly just as Blaze punched the man hard, blood instantly pooled in his nose and mouth while he cried out loudly in pain.
"Since you’re a mouthy, how about you tell the rest of the council members about how you also plan to betray them after you put your son on the throne." Blaze continued as he bunched the man again and this time, the rest of the council members gasped in shock and disbelief.
"They’re all slow and useless, of course I was gonna betray them!" The council members sneered and almost immediately, a loud noise went up the rooms as all the council members began to speak at the same time.
I let out a sigh, feeling beyond frustrated. I lifted a hand and waved my fingers twice and at once, the entire council members mouths got sealed up with the help of magic.
"That’s enough, please." I said quietly, my throat suddenly feeling tight. Blaze finally rose to his feet, his hand bloodied and when I glanced down at the council leader whom he was previously punching, he was completely unrecognizable to me hit at least he was still breathing.
"So you’ve all hated me this whole time but always smile in my face? And you’ve been planning to kill me as well?" I demanded, glancing between the entire council members who were all trying to speak but failing because of the magic. Blaze wiped his bloodied hand off on the cloth of a random council member before making his way to me. I placed a hand on his chest once he stood close to me, feeling my throat close uo again.
Blaze had just managed to figure out what the fates talked to me about back in the demon clan. The fates had said it was my job to figure out, but Blaze had taken care of it fir be and I suddenly didn’t know what to say. Was this how it feels to have a better half? They’d see your problems and hurdles as theirs and won’t rest till they take care of it. As those thoughts ran through my mind right now, I realized that this is how blaze has regarded me from the very onset. Like his better half, because he fought my battles all the way from carnivals and treated them like they were his problems.
"I don’t know what to say... how did you manage to figure all this out?" I whisper, voice thick With emotions and Blaze leaned down, a grin tugging at the sides of his lips as he responded.
"By paying visits to wborehouses and pubs." He revealed and my eyes widened again. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that something as crucial as this would be figured out from a place like a whorehouse of all places.
"Really?" I demanded and he hummed before turning around and waving a hand at the council members.
"Whenever I go, I disguise myself, buy them as many drinks as possible in various intervals along with getting them the best whores to kiss and caress them and at the same time, I act uninterested and stylishly goad them till they spill news they’re not supposed to. They each gave me different bits but I managed to put it all together at the end of the day. After that, I called for a meeting in your name and after they all arrived and I told them you were under the weather and that I’d be holding the meeting in your place, they all refused to remain in the meeting, but that was before they realized that I knew the truth. After they realized that, they all knew they were fucked... and can you believe this so called council leader tried to convince me to betray you and join them?"
My mouth was hanging open again as I listened to Blaze speak and shock ripped through me at the end of his sentence. I couldn’t believe all of this had happened and it’s only a week since we returned from the demon clan.
"In all of this, I’m just so glad you were able to dig all this out. If not, I wouldn’t even know where to start and my mind still won’t go to these council members because I actually trust them." I revealed and Blaze snorted a little before shaking his head.
"It’s a good thing you have me, no?" He drawled playfully but I meant it as I nodded in response.
My eyes returned back to the council members who were still struggling to speak.
"What do you think we should do about them?" I questioned and Blaze rolled his eyes.
"Let’s just have them killed." He responded and I gasped.
"Blaze!"
"What? They also planned to kill you, remember?" He responded as he folded his arms and even though he was right, killing them just felt wrong.
"We should probably have them locked up for now." I suggested, already starting to develop a headache.
"Of course. Along with the council leader’s son as well." Blaze added.
