Jules’ pov

Everyone is clearly pleased by the new announcement, everyone but me.

"The trip is going to last for a week. At the end of the trip, a friendly match is gonna take place between this school and our rival in a hockey and tennis match, so at the trip, you’re gonna practice and brush yourselves up for the day of the matches. Your parents are gonna be present to watch as well."

At the mention of ’parents’, I thought of my mother at once.

The person giving the announcement was a middle aged looking man who had a strict expression on his face and his hands shoved into his pockets. The entire students are currently gathered in the large hall at the middle floor of the school.

I pursed my lips and glanced sideways at Taylor who was squealing along with the rest of the students. As soon as our eyes locked, he grabbed my shoulders and shook me a little.

"It’s gonna be so much fun, trust me!" He gushed out and I forced a smile on my face.

I’d have preferred to remain here in this school so I could keep working towards finding out my family’s murderers instead of going on a dumb class trip which is gonna be filled with predators who’d want to bully me until I can’t breathe.

I had thought that the bullying was gonna reduce since I was technically no longer a new student like when I had just arrived in this school. But, I was completely wrong. The bullies still tend to mess with me every now and then and most times, I still always end up at the infirmary.

"We’re gonna be able to go anywhere we want, after collecting permission, that is. Here in school, we’re completely unable to leave the school premises, but whenever we go on trips like this, we’re able to leave that premises for wherever we want." Taylor explained and after dwelling on that for a few moments, I realized that it was gonna be useful to me.

I’d be able to go see Andrian so we could have an actual conversation amongst other things.

The class trip didn’t sound all that bad after all.

Taylor, Josh and I were heading towards the elevator so we could ride down to the last floor and exit the school when Kai appeared all of a sudden, waving at us, causing me to silently let out a curse as he skipped over to us.

I had been unconsciously avoiding him after that night we went out for coffee, not because of how I had embarrassed myself immensely in his presence, but because of how much his scent had clung to my body, which had led to Blaze almost wringing my throat in the restroom after cornering me against the wall.

That little encounter that made me so freaking worked up and scared that I completely avoided Kai since then.

Whenever I see him, I’m always reminded of Blaze warning me to never smell wrong ever again.

Taylor and Josh had explained what he meant, which was that– he meant I shouldn’t smell of another predator’s scent ever again.

That had completely unnerved me but because of how much I loved my life and didn’t want to lose it because of something as insignificant as scent, I decided to just obey Blaze’s order.

Once bitten, twice shy.

Which is why I’ve been avoiding Kai.

Our eyes locked and I swallowed emptily before returning his smile.

"Y’all are heading out too, right?" He breathed out, but his eyes didn’t shift from my face.

"Yes, we are! Join us!" Taylor suggested at once and I wanted to object and insist that he ride the next elevator but I bit down on the words, choosing to remain silent as we all stepped into the elevator.

Once the doors slid close, he moved around till he was standing beside me, and at once, I stiffened.

From the corner of my eyes, I noticed Taylor and Josh suppressing smiles and I wanted the ground to open up and swallow me up.

Josh’s scent wafted towards my nose and i tentatively breathed it in, enjoying how it smoothly slide through my lungs.

"How have you been?" Kai asked and I glanced up at him, eyes landing on his lips for a fleeting moment before I stared straight ahead.

I shrugged my shoulders a little. "I’ve been good, just so busy with school, my grades..."

"Is something wrong with your grades?" He asked and I hesitated before slowly nodding my head in response. freewёbnoνel.com

"It’s dropping and it needs saving." I informed him.

I’ve received lessons from Elio a few times, but because I’m yet to do a cam scene with him, I’m starting to feel guilty about recieving those lessons from him.

I wasn’t sure I’d ever be able to completely undress and touch myself in front of a camera, and in his presence as well. Thinking about it made my stomach feel queasy.

Watching Elio get himself off that evening had looked really intriguing, and after getting home that night, I tried touching myself off for the first time. It didn’t work out the way I had expected, it ended with me bursting into tears because I got overwhelmed with the thought of me being so different and weird than everyone else, coupled with the fact that I didn’t know what I was doing and how I was supposed to actually touch myself.

"I could tutor you." Kai offered, pulling me out of my inner thoughts, and my eyes widened at once in shock.

"Really?" I asked tentatively.

He nodded his head in response, beautiful eyes locked with mine.

"Sure, it’s no biggie." He explained but I wasn’t buying that. I wasn’t dumb, I know he’d definitely want something in return, but I didn’t bother bringing that up yet, if I’d seriously consider getting lessons from him, there’s a lot of things and a particular person which I need to take into consideration.

"I’ll think about it. Thank you for offering." I ended up breathing out just as the elevator door slid open.

Josh and Taylor began to walk forward at once, clearly leaving Kai and I behind so we could talk more privately.

"So... I was wondering if we could hang out once we’re on the school trip? We could go see a movie or something. What do you say?"
