Death Mage with an SS-Rank Talent-Chapter 173
Chapter 173: Chapter 173
Ten days have passed since Aaron and the group returned to the academy.
Once Aaron received the rewards, he pretty much immersed himself in increasing his level, unless there was an important class or during other activities.
In these ten days, he improved vastly and even reached level 150, which is the border of Rank-2.
In this process of improving his level, some skills also improved a bit, not because he used SPs on them but because of the accumulated skill experience over time.
Improving this way was long and arduous. So, many would use SPs to increase their Skill Rank, but with what he came to learn, wasting SPs on skills that can be easily improved by using them continuously is just a waste of resources.
They need to be saved as much as possible to improve the skills that can’t be improved easily by usage, especially since he came to know that Rank 9 is not the highest skill rank. There is Bronze Rank above it, and with Silver and Gold Ranks above Bronze.
There might be even more ranks above Gold, but for now, he has no idea.
Whether there are more or not, even to bring skills to the Gold Realm, would be a nightmare without enough SPs, and the number is huge.
Though he has 100x the amount of SPs than other awakeners, with the amount of SPs needed for every increase in the skill rank realm, he was not sure whether they were sufficient.
There are other ways to get those SPs or direct improvements in skill rank, and with the upgradation of the world, he was sure these ways would increase in both quantity and quality.
Till now, to his knowledge, there are Skill Rank stones which can improve the rank of a skill up to Rank 9, but in the near future, that may change. Though that might be true, he can’t wait that long, especially before that time, it would be the time of chaos.
He needed to survive the chaos to enjoy those benefits. He won’t enjoy them, but his descendants might.
In addition to all these considerations, after certain deliberation, Aaron came to a decision on what to do with the skill scrolls that were rewarded by the alliance. At the time he got them, he decided to wait and see.
He wanted to learn more before making decisions. He has a lot of skills. So, adding more would just make him look powerful, but he can only use two skills at a time, because of the Dual Cast.
There is another skill like Dual Cast, called Multi-Cast, but he only read about that in books. He searched for the skill, but he heard nothing regarding that skill.
Since he couldn’t use more than two active skills at a time, he felt that there was no need to use them. There are some skills that are passive, but he wanted to know more before making a decision, and he did.
He decided to use two of these passive skills, which are not actual skills but are Resistances. There are many, but these two, he felt they were better for him.

Yeah, the resistances he chose were Poison and Light.
Poison resistance, one can easily think why he chose that. If one attacks him directly, he can do something to protect himself or run away, but poison, once ingested, he would sure to die. So, he needed this resistance, more than anything else.
Light resistance, on the other hand, had to do with his profession. For Death skills, light element skills are a bane. Light-based attacks affect his undead summons more than anything.
So, with light resistance, the damage would be reduced.
These two are important. So, he directly increased them from Rank 0 to Rank 9.
From the remaining, he set the Fire Resistance Skill aside. This was for one of his parents. They are cooks after all, and would be around fire for too much of their lives. Having resistance would do them some good, but he has only one scroll.
So, he decided to get another before sending them home.
The other scrolls, for now, would stay in his storage. If he needed them in the future, he would use them, or they would be passed down his line.
Skill scrolls are rare, especially passive ones. So, unless someone is dying, there is no way that he is going to sell these skill scrolls.

Aaron, in these ten days, reached level 150, and with him reaching the level, a new pop-up appeared in his status, Rank-3 Quest.
--
Rank-3 Quest: Clear a Dungeon of three levels minimum in three hours.
Dungeon Requirements: All of the monsters should be higher than level 135.
--
As the quests before, the quest was simple and direct. There are turns or diversions in this quest, and with this quest, such simple type quests would end. From Rank-4, quests would be different, but that was for the future Aaron to worry about.
First, he needed to complete this quest and then raise his level to 450 in order to get that Rank-4 quest. Yes, Rank-3 spans from level 151 to level 450, a total of three hundred levels, which would take a long time, even with Aaron’s perk, to reach that level.
So, there was no need to worry about that from now onwards, which is not beneficial but rather a burden. It was unnecessary stress to think about something that might happen later in the future.
For the time being, his thoughts were on how to complete the quest.
He needed a dungeon with a minimum of three levels, and all monsters had to be at least level 135 or higher. The first part of the quest was to find the perfect dungeon to complete his quest.
