Death Mage with an SS-Rank Talent-Chapter 174
Chapter 174: Chapter 174
As usual, Aaron woke up, freshened up and made breakfast for himself. The portion was very huge, unlike other mornings. This was because he needed a lot of energy for what he was going to do once he left the house.
Today, he is going to attempt to clear the Rank-3 quest.
The quest was simple, but at the same time, it was not. He needed to clear three levels of a dungeon within three hours, where every monster needed to be at least level 135 or higher.
If it was just to clear three levels of a dungeon with monsters above level 135, he could take rest whenever possible, but to clear all three levels in three hours, that takes a lot of work.
He had to burn a lot of energy to do that. So, to compensate for it, he had to fill his stomach with food in order not to damage his foundation.
If the body were damaged fundamentally, then no matter how many FSPs he has, it would mean nothing. So, it was mentioned at the start and in many basic books that one has to take care of their bodies, and never to overwork their bodies.
There are many geniuses who tend to push their limits. Even when that was done, there is an actual limit beyond which one can push without causing permanent damage to the foundation of a person. Once that limit was crossed, there was no coming back.
If the foundation was damaged, then even if one keeps adding FSPs to the attributes or uses some other methods to increase attributes, it would be worthless. The attributes would continue to shrink over time when the foundation was damaged.
Unless the person finds a way to undo the damage, sooner or later, even a powerful awakener of the highest rank can become weaker than a normal person and may even die early due to loss of vitality.
This is why work and rest are both important and should be maintained in a balanced manner to have a higher life expectancy.
Whether one can truly survive till the end of life expectancy was a different thing.
---
After having breakfast, Aaron went to the dungeon hall and chose a Wolf Dungeon, where the monsters are above level 140, and it is a four-level dungeon.
Unlike common wolf dungeons, Rank-2 and higher monsters can use various magic skills, and this wolf dungeon has wolves of four elements.
The first level was full of Fire Wolves, then Wind Wolves on the Second level. After them, Frost Wolves and Poison Wolves in the third and fourth levels, respectively.
He intended to go till the third level only, when the quest to become a Rank-3 Death Mage would be fulfilled.
There was a reason why he didn’t intend to go to the fourth floor. It was full of Poison Wolves. Though he has poison resistance at a high ranking, if too many attacks land on him, though it may not kill him, it sure would not be comfortable for the next few days.
Also, rest and work have to be balanced. So, he intends to leave the dungeon once what he came to accomplish is achieved.
---
Once inside the dungeon hall, Aaron made sure that no one was watching him when he entered the dungeon, in which he decided to complete his quest.
This was because the dungeon, which he decided to enter,r contains monsters above level 140. This was not a dungeon that not even him who reached top position the tournament would take on this early.
If someone sees him enter and recognises him, then it would reach the management of the academy, and doubts would be raised about his level and my talents.
Even without knowing what his talent is, they can come to conclusion that it is a very powerful one and, as the saying goes, a man is not innocent for carrying a treasure in his hands.
Making sure that no one he knew was in the vicinity, he quickly entered the dungeon portal, which took him away to the dungeon.
"Let’s get to work and succeed at the first try. It would be embarrassing if I fail such a simple quest", Aaron stretched his hands and commenced his work.
He summoned every undead in his army: 1,270 skeletons and 630 ghosts, a total of 1,900 undead.
He has only three hours to clear out three levels, which means one hour per level on average, but for the first level, it should be less than an hour, as the next two levels would be of higher difficulty, and would take more time than it would take to clear the first floor.
Moreover, the first floor would be where Aaron would start, which means he was at full strength at that time. As time goes on, his strength would reduce, and with the limited time he has, if he takes too much time in clearing the first floor, it would be pretty difficult to clear all three before the time limit, and he might have to attempt the quest once again later on.
That would not be a good use of time and resources, as he would be stuck at Rank-2 until then, without any increment in FSPs.
Though he might have wondered what to do with so many FSPs some time ago, with his luck attribute unlocked, he was in need of a lot of FSPs now, more than what he had, which could only be possible with an increase in his ranks as soon as possible.
"Okay, spread and attack every monster here. Let no monster live", Aaron ordered his undead army and started to attack the monsters present on the floor.
Almost two thousand undead moved in various directions and started attacking every wolf monster that they encountered. Aaron helped from behind as much as he could, making sure that he would not run out of mana.
With so many killings, his Death Energy wouldn’t run out easily. So, he used Death Skills more than Mana skills. With monsters higher level than him, he felt that it was best to save mana as much as possible, especially for the next two floors.
Within forty minutes, he cleared the first floor, and then moved on to the next floor, and continued on, till the quest came to an end.
