From Apocalypse To Entertainment Circle (BL)-Chapter 29: Meeting Liam, The Wolf Clan Leader!
Chapter 29: Meeting Liam, The Wolf Clan Leader!
In front of everyone’s eyes, Lan Qisheng, who had been holding the prisoner just moments ago, suddenly released him and clutched his hand, which was dripping with blood.
It all happened in the blink of an eye, leaving everyone in shock. They hadn’t even processed what had just occurred. Even Lan Qisheng’s subordinates were at a loss. Of course, as trained soldiers, they had been completely focused on their surroundings the moment they arrived. Their eyes had been locked onto the terrorists ahead of them, tracking every movement. Yet, they hadn’t seen anything suspicious. No one had fired a gun. They were certain—not a single terrorist had pulled the trigger.
So the question remained: Who had shot their commander?
Lan Qisheng clutched his wounded hand, his bloodshot eyes scanning the people before him.
"Are you part of the terrorist organization too?" he demanded angrily. Truthfully, there was no need to ask. The answer was already clear.
Standing before him were the three men who had been trembling in fear the entire time. But now, their expressions had shifted—they no longer looked terrified. Instead, they wore sinister, violent grins.
"Oh, Colonel," one of them sneered. "You should have been more careful."
The other two burst into laughter, soon joined by the rest of the men around them. They exchanged smiles and walked over to the terrorists, greeting them as if they were old comrades.
Lan Qisheng, who was leaning against Wu Hao for support, clenched his fists, his eyes blazing with fury. "This was a lapse on my part."
"Commander, this isn’t your fault," Ren Yi spoke up, trying to comfort him. No one could have anticipated this scenario. The very people they had risked their lives to save had been working with the terrorists all along. Who could have seen that coming?
"Hah! You idiots!" one of the traitors scoffed. "If you want someone to blame, blame yourselves! Hahahaha!"
Lan Qisheng shut his eyes briefly. It was disgraceful. How had he failed to recognize his enemies when they had been right in front of him this whole time?
"Oh, don’t try to act like some mastermind in hiding," a calm voice cut through the air.
All eyes turned toward the source. There stood Sian, looking as relaxed as ever. Now that he was sure Lan Qisheng’s injury wasn’t serious, he had returned to his usual nonchalant self. Unlike the others, he wasn’t even holding his hands up in surrender. Instead, one hand dangled casually by his side while the other rubbed his neck.
"We didn’t recognize you because, well... you’re just ordinary people," Sian remarked, his voice laced with amusement.
"You—what do you mean by ordinary?! We’re part of a powerful organization! We’re secret agents!"
"Secret agents, my foot," Sian chuckled. "If you’d ever killed someone before, I would’ve known."
"What?!" The three men were visibly shaken.
Sian was right. They had only joined the organization a few months ago. Sure, they had learned how to use weapons, but they had never actually killed anyone. It wasn’t that they didn’t want to—it was just that they hadn’t had the opportunity yet. This mission was supposed to be their first major assignment.
"H-How—" one of them stammered in shock.
"Oh, you mean how I know?" Sian smirked playfully. "Well... I’m not going to tell you."
"You—damn brat!"
"Enough!" the leader of the terrorists barked. "No more nonsense. Boss Liam is waiting for us. Move!"
"Sir! Sir!" one of the supposed hostages, Marco, spoke up hesitantly. "Didn’t you say you’d let us go?"
"Oh?" One of the terrorists snickered. "Did you believe that?"
"Hahaha! Poor guy, he trusted our boss!"
"After losing all the hostages we had, do you seriously think we’d let you all go so easily? Isn’t that why that soldier tried to threaten us again? Because he *knew* we wouldn’t let any of you leave alive?"
"Too bad. His plan failed. Now, tie them all up! We’re taking them to the boss—he’s eager to meet his guests."
---
Sian and the others were bound tightly, including Lan Qisheng, who was still injured. The captors were afraid he might try something, considering he and his men were elite military personnel.
They were marched deep into the forest, towards Liam’s base. The terrorist leader, Liam, had remained stationed where he had been holding Director Han and the other captives—at the original filming site of the survival show. It was an open area, ideal for camping, with a vast grassy clearing surrounded by a dense ring of trees.
After over four hours of walking, they finally arrived. The journey wasn’t that long, but the terrorists hadn’t allowed any breaks. They hadn’t harmed their prisoners, but they hadn’t treated them kindly either. No food. No water. Forced to march without rest. By the time they reached their destination, most of the captives collapsed from exhaustion.
Only a few remained standing—Sian, Lan Qisheng, his soldiers, Michael, and Liang. Even though they were drained, they endured.
The camp was just as they had left it two days ago. Temporary shelters remained intact. Vehicles for off-road transport were stationed nearby. Armed guards stood at every corner, automatic rifles in hand. Bloodstains marred the ground.
The hostages gasped for air, their bodies trembling with fatigue.
Meanwhile, the terrorists stood alert, pressing their guns against Sian and the others’ heads.
At that moment, a rough voice rang out from the distance.
Moments later, a man emerged.
"Welcome, welcome, my dear guests," he said with a grin.
Liam strode forward with a confident swagger. He was a tall, muscular man dressed entirely in black, his outfit adorned with weapons—guns, knives, and more.
As he approached, his gaze swept over the soldiers... and then passed right by them.
Instead, his eyes locked on the most beautiful boy in the group—Sian.
With his long, silky black hair cascading over his shoulders, his golden-amber eyes gleaming under the sunlight, and the wind playing with his strands, the scene was breathtaking.
But Liam didn’t care about beauty.
His steps grew quicker and quicker the moment he laid eyes on Sian.
Finally, he came to a halt, standing face-to-face with him.
Sian met his gaze with an unreadable expression.
No fear. No hesitation. Just quiet indifference.
And then—
BAM!
