HDXD: Omni Harem System-Chapter 44: Another Feat

Adam’s eyes narrowed at these words.

As he began to speak.

"A new Lore Ability already?"

He said...still vividly shocked that he got one this quick again.

"Hehehe for a universe that hates me, it truly still treats me fairly."

Adam said, half-jokingly, as he instinctively straightened up. After all, he hadn’t expected to receive anything from this battle beyond survival, so this was a surprise.

But as soon as he said that, the voice played in his head again, announcing.

[Congratulations!! A New Lore Ability Has Been Obtained: True Anima]

The moment the ability was named, for a brief moment, a strange power coursed through Adam’s body. And unlike other abilities, this one made him feel different, in a way he can’t explain.

His breath hitched as a strange sensation settled over him. It was as if an unseen force had wrapped itself around his very existence, hence fort the power had settled in, but what it did was still Unknown to him.

But in that moment, the voice of the Universe System spoke in his head.

[Lore Ability: True Anima]

- True Anima grants the user a commanding presence that alters how others perceive them, it’s a power that can cause random misunderstanding at times, good and bad. The weak will either revere or fear the user, drawn by instinctive awe or dread. The strong, even those more powerful, will feel an unsettling wariness as if sensing an unknown danger or may feel attached to you in some shape or form depending on your actions. Some may avoid the user altogether, while others may seek to eliminate them before the unease takes root.

Adam exhaled slowly as he processed the information.

"...Huh."

He said out aloud, as he began to process this information.

Looking at it, he could not help but think.

"This is... annoying."

Not the power itself, he wasn’t one to complain about getting stronger, but the passive nature of it. It meant that no matter what he did, others would perceive him differently. He could already imagine the headaches this would cause.

Would his family feel this effect? Minerva? Priscilla? His spirits?

He wondered, instantly he lashed out saying.

"What the hell Losdeus I take back what I said... this is a biased gift, either way, what’s done is done I guess... still won’t stop me... maybe I can use this to scare away irrelevant male creatures from my harem."

Adam said as that was the only useful thing he saw in this new ability of his.

He was not one to complain, but this one was a valid complaint indeed.

His thoughts wandered, but then, something else struck him.

He glanced down at himself, his thoughts coming back to the main issue at hand.

"...I need new clothes."

Of all things to worry about after a new ability, this was what his brain latched onto.

But honestly? It made sense.

If he was going to be walking around exuding some overwhelming presence that made people either bow, flinch, worry, wonder, take an interest, or be intrigued about him in some shape of form...big or small, he at least wanted to look good while doing it.

As he pondered this, the System chimed in again.

『Why not use your feathers? You can manipulate them at will you know』

Adam blinked at these words.

"...Huh?"

Then, realization struck.

"Damn, that is... actually smart... thank’s a lot System."

Adam with gratefulness in his heart.

He could already control them freely, shifting their form, using them for defense, offense, and mobility.

But clothing?

That was not something he had tried as of yet.

But there was always a first for everything.

The more he thought about it, the more sense it made. If he could manipulate his feathers like extra limbs, then there was no reason he couldn’t reshape them into fabric-like material.

At this thought.

His wings twitched as if responding to his thoughts.

Adam smirked, clearly excited to try this out.

"Might as well try."

He said as the pair of black wings on his back flapped softly.

Focusing on his will, he commanded the feathers to move. The dark plumes shimmered, shifting and morphing. He guided them like flowing ink, and each feather one, by one, began wrapping around his body, it soon went around his shoulders, his arms, and his torso. The sensation was odd, like layering himself in something soft.

Within seconds, his naked appearance was replaced by something new.

A sleek, black feathered coat draped over him, seamlessly forming from his own wings. The texture was somewhere between silk and leather...soft but firm. His chest was out, showing his six pack on his tiny child body.

On his lower half, however, his feather formed what Adam could only describe as a full black lower Shihakusho half made out of pure black feathers.

On his feat, however, well he was barefooted, there was nothing much he could do there, but the main point was that he was clothed.

When he finally stopped, he glanced down, inspecting his handiwork...saying.

"...Not bad."

He said to no one but himself.

His new fit felt light, comfortable, and far more flexible than regular clothing. He shifted his stance, testing the movement. No restrictions. The feathers responded instantly, adjusting as needed.

On that note, however, the System also Chimed in saying as such.

『See? Efficient and stylish』

Adam snorted at her words, as he responded back saying.

"You sound way too proud of this."

To which the System replied back.

『No, I am merely just stating a fact is all, given your feathers can be as hard as reinforced steel, they are kind of like armor clothing』

She argued, causing Adam to double-think, and sooner after he began chipping in his own opinion, as he said.

"Yeah, you’re right now that I think about it."

Said Adam as he continued.

"Also, I wonder, given that I can control these feathers with my will alone, could I perhaps use this to increase my strength using my feathers, as an exoskeleton."
