Chapter 78: Recall Oblivion
"Hmmm, nice... It seems to work just fine."
Adam commented as he watched how the power of his B.O.W. captured a past moment of Sunny’s life within its confines.
Ultimately speaking, however, his plans exceeded beyond just hitting Sunny with just this. No he plan to suck every drop of worth from his existence, even from his useless body.
For that reason, and that reason alone.
Adam knelt beside the corpse, resting his hand lightly on what used to be Sunn...no, Cecil’s body.
Notably speaking, this body was about to become a test subject for one Adam necromatic magic spells, one that he has yet to use till now.
This one in particular was another one of his one-of-a-kind type of spells, as the Astrum needed to properly use it was of a great amount. So, accumulating the needed Astrum to even use it took a while to collect.
But as he thinks of using it.
He can’t help but fall back on the name he was silently calling out to himself.
"Cecil, huh?"
Adam murmured to himself, as his mind fell on this vampire some more.
"Since I am going to use a spell like this, I can’t help but wonder what kind of person you were prior to your current iteration."
Adam said to himself as his mind wonders in curiosity.
Naturally, no reply came back, so he would have to find out himself after he cast it, of course.
It was time to test something he had been itching to use for a while now. It was one of the necromantic spells he had learned in the codex.
For that reason, it was clear as day that it was not your average raise-the-dead kind of spell.
"I guess now is a better time than any to try it out."
Adam rolled his shoulders once, then held out his right hand above the body.
The moment he raised his hand, he began coding the proper spirit language into the circle to activate the spell. Right after that, color spread across the ground as a layered magic circle unfurled below the remains.
The spell [Recall Oblivion] was a necromantic ability that splits a piece of a person’s existing soul into its own separate thing that soon regrows itself into a new separate soul.
From there, it somehow dives into the undercurrent of a person’s soul history, pulling information from a person’s past life and stitching it into the present.
If done right, it didn’t just raise the dead; it brought back past information of who they used to be in their past lives, using the copy of their existing information to fuse with th past information, reforging them into something new.
Combining old information with new information.
The corpse shuddered as the circle activated. It seized once, then once more again.
Then, soon after, the entire body began to sink downwards into the magic circle like it was being swallowed whole.
Right after.
The series of menacing colored light twisted as it began to get brigther and brigther.
From the center of the circle, something began to rise.
At first, it looked like the same body, same proportions, same torn clothes. But the silhouette changed as the magic circle began to reshape the flesh and memory into something else.
What came from the rebirth was not the same person; no, rather, it took the form of who this person was in his former life.
What used to be a tall, headless vampire man was now...
A short, gorgeous woman, lying still on the cold ground.
Long black hair spilled over her shoulders like ink, trailing past her absurdly round ass. It shimmered under the dim light, straight, silky, and stupidly perfect.
Meanwhile, the race of the body did not change; for all intents and purposes, it was still a peasant-class vampire, at least in anatomy.
If she was standing up straight, she would stand at about 5’6 now. Nothing extreme, but her body? Yeah, that was something else. Thick hips that screamed fertility goddess, boobs that tested the limits of whatever physics still applied in this messed-up world, and an ass so full it deserved its own seat on the council.
Her skin was just as pale, like an anemic person. To be honest she looked like something that stepped out of a gothic oil painting... if the artist had been horny and dangerously unsupervised.
But her features aside, she soon began to open her eyes, and as expected, they were blood red. Looking at the naked woman from top to bottom, and from the bottom back to the top, Adam could not help but release a low whistle at the sight of her.
"WHISTLE!.... Goddamn she is thick... won’t lie bro you looked amazing."
Adam said as he looked back at the confused Sunny, who watched the entire process of watching his own body go from male to female with a confused and horrified glance.
And soon after, a familar voice echoed in Adam’s head once more.
[Conditions met! You’ve successfully stolen a piece of the target’s importance. A significant moment from their life has been taken, its essence now belongs to you. As a result, this moment has been put into a state of existent and non-existent]
[Conditions met!]
[Conditions met!]
[Conditions met!...
He heard the voice of B.O.W. in his head as he termed it, he had captured 4 more random moment’s of the target’s life.
One moment was when he was blow up by a hydrogen bomb, the other was when he fed on a hunter, empowering himself more, the next moment was when he learned a vampiric technique called blood gauge a power that allows him to gauge how strong a person might be depending on the age of their blood if he see it at firist glance.
Meanwhile, the last moment he captured with B.O.W. was when Cecil was gifted a powerful sword called the Umbragarden blade as payment for completing an important delivery mission when he was working with Maddam Danu. It was a soul-type weapon that grows with the user the more they use it. However, it feeds on a person’s sanity every time they use it.
