Heiress' Househusband is a Secret Billionaire-Chapter 313: Need to Catch Up to His Stamina
Chapter 313: Need to Catch Up to His Stamina
The morning light streamed gently through the curtains, casting soft golden hues across the bedroom walls. The autumn sun was slow to rise, the rays filtered through the skeletal branches.
The village was generally quiet on the weekend. Because the harvest season was over, most farmers took this chance to relax aside from the ones who cultivated specialty crops.
Inside the quaint cottage, one particular bedroom was warm, enveloped by the comfort of stillness and the shared breath of two people.
After having some egg drop soup last night, Lariette and Ruediger didn’t immediately go to bed, chatting about various topics. Thus, they slept in this morning due to lack of rest.
Lariette was the one who stirred awake first. Nestled beneath the covers, her shoulder peeked out as she shifted gently.
’...what time is it?"
Lariette caught the faint crackle of leaves outside the windows, then she heard the steady echo of Ruediger’s breathing beside her. After rubbing her eyes, she gazed at the man.
Ruediger was still asleep. His crimson locks tousled against the pillow, a few strands falling over his brows. Being in a peaceful slumber, his lips slightly parted.
One of Ruediger’s arms was wrapped securely around Lariette’s waist. As if he couldn’t bear to let her go even in his dreams, his hand rested just at the small of her back.
Lying still on one side, Lariette felt her heart bloomed with affection and a trace of lingering shyness for she remembered everything.
’My face feels hot.’
Lariette’s cheeks flushed pink as her gaze moved slowly, tracing the line of Ruediger’s jaw and down to the subtle rise and fall of his chest. The images from last night flooded her mind, spreading warmth all over her.
Last night, his hands traced the curves of her figure, his touch gentle yet firm. The deep and unhurried way when he kissed her, alternating with his fieriness, and the warmth of his breath against her skin made her feel cherished.
Completely and wholly by him.
Exhaling a soft sigh, Lariette leaned closer to Ruediger, burying her face into his chest. A smile formed on her lips, hidden but wide as her thoughts drifted again.
Lariette remembered the moment she touched Ruediger’s abdomen, fingers gliding over the defined lines. She deliberately slowed her movement as she teased him.
When Lariette trailed her kisses down Ruediger’s skin, she felt him shiver under her touch. At times, he growled, and then he whimpered. She also liked the deep sound of his voice when he called her name.
’Haha... until when will they remain obvious?’
Blinking, Lariette recalled the marks she left on Ruediger’s body, especially how her nails dug deep into the skin of his back as he moved with certainty. They found their rhythm as their bodies were aligned.
’I’m so silly.’
Hugging the blanket closer to her chest, Lariette chuckled softly. Her body was still sore despite Ruediger’s massage but in the sweetest way. Her heart and soul flooded with contentment.
Lariette tilted her chin up, looking at Ruediger again. Still watching him quietly, she whispered, "Eddy... I might fall even harder for you."
"Lettie, I love you."
Throughout the night, Ruediger chanted the same words, touching Lariette’s heart all over. When he looked into her eyes, it felt as if no one else had ever existed.
She couldn’t return those words yet, but somehow, she felt the time would come sooner rather than later.
"..."
Lariette saw Ruediger’s brow twitch. He let out a grin while unconsciously tightening his arm around her. Then his eyes fluttered open, still a little dazed from sleep.
But the same gaze immediately softened once it met hers.
"Lettie, morning," Ruediger whispered, voice hoarse from his long slumber. Giving Lariette a lazy smile, he pulled her even closer, "You’re staring at me, en?"
Blinking, Lariette chuckled. She brushed Ruediger’s fringes from his forehead before admitting, "Morning, Eddy. I was watching you sleep. You looked so peaceful."
Ruediger grinned, "Did I snore?"
"You didn’t," Lariette lightly patted Ruediger’s chest, "You just breathed loudly."
More laughter bubbled on Ruediger’s lips. Leaning closer, he pressed a kiss on Lariette’s temple, taking a moment to appreciate her presence by his side.
"Lettie, I like waking up to your smile."
Lariette blushed again. As her palm rested over Ruediger’s chest, she could feel the steady beat there, calm and real.
Pushing her shyness away, Lariette said, her voice quiet, "I was just thinking about last night."
Ruediger arched his brows, then looked into Lariette’s eyes. He saw familiar pink hues blush on her cheeks.
"Yes?"
Lariette chuckled, a little nervous and shy, "I liked it. But... I think I need to train harder to catch up to your stamina lest I’ll always be on the losing side."
Blinking, Ruediger was quiet for a moment before laughter spilled from his lips. Burying his face in Lariette’s shoulder, he laughed, deeply amused by her remarks.
"You really should," Ruediger lowered his voice, whispering ever so sensually in Lariette’s ear, "And you can think what else you wanna us try. And where. Right?"
Eye wide in surprise, Lariette blushed like a tomato, "Eddy!"
"Hahaha!"
The pair stayed on the bed, hugging and limbs tangling beneath the comforter, feeling no need to move yet. Glances and touches filled the quiet moments between them, their fingers brushing along their arms and backs in silence.
Lariette exhaled a sigh, her breath fanning Ruediger’s chest, "I don’t want to get up yet."
"Then don’t," Ruediger murmured, brushing his lips on Lariette’s head, "Let’s just stay here a little longer. We still have time before we go to the festival."
The clock had just hit ten in the morning. Lariette and Ruediger planned to head to the harvest festival at two in the afternoon. They would get to enjoy when the sun was still out, and stay until late.
Smiling, she tucked herself closer into his arms, "Hehe, a little longer sounds perfect."
"Just say that you wanna be lazy."
"Oh! You got me!"
And so, the pair of new lovers remained on the bed, wrapped in its warmth. Outside, the wind howled, spreading its coldness all over the village.
As Lariette and Ruediger were still lounging in bed, the same couldn’t be said for Nathaniel, Elsie and Lorianne.
Their ranch trip began today!
