Chapter 33: 33. Haze

1801: Don’t think that this is not fair because not many people will still have electricity these days. If you think it’s not fair, I’ll not give you any electricity. So, you better not start any moral kidnapping whatever in the chat group. I’ll not listen to any of them.

[the administrator has lifted the mute]

1201: Don’t worry, I’ll use the electricity reasonably.

101: Thank you, Boss!

202: Alright, we’ll do it. Thank you, Boss.

702: You’re the best, Boss!

...

These people all saw the warning and will naturally not vent their dissatisfaction in the chat group. If they were banned by the administrator, they knew very well that this meant they wouldn’t be able to enjoy the electricity.

Who could they cry to at that time?

Some of them might have generator at home, so they were fine.

But most of them didn’t have any and it was already a blessing that the boss was willing to work for them.

So everyone in the chat group was harmonious.

But was it really?

"Can this peace really last?" Anna was a bit worried as she looked at the chat group and then focused on the water flowing in front of her again. The electricity was cut but thankfully the water is not cut yet.

But it was not known when they would be cut in the end.

She could only pour more drinking water to her space and made sure that there were enough for her entire life.

*cough*

It seemed that her electricity and water bill for this month will definitely be off the chart. Anna still has a few thousands in her card and hoped that it would be enough. Oh right, she still has a million in cash too.

So, it should be fine?

Anna was still thinking wildly and sighed deeply. The drinking water is actually free since everyone can drink it if they wanted to. But she was not entirely sure about how it would be in the future.

Anna looked at her phone and sighed as she put it away.

How many people would sensibly use the electricity sparingly? They will definitely use it as much as possible without caring about other people.

Because people are selfish.

If it didn’t touch their interest, they could still say that they were generous. But most people would not be able to do that once the matter touched their interest and cause troubles.

Anna continued to pour water and when it was lunch time, she went to Dylan’s place.

"Meow~." Kitty jumped down the sofa and welcomed Anna warmly.

Anna smiled and bent down to pat Kitty with affection. "Have you been a good boy, Kitty?"

"Meow~."

"She stole another dried cat." Dylan ruthlessly sold Kitty out.

"Meow!" Kitty meowed loudly as if refuting Dylan’s words.

"That must be because you didn’t give him enough food." Anna chuckled and walked to the seat. "Are you still busy cooking?"

"Yes." Dylan nodded. With the refrigerator handed by Anna, there were still some space to cook more food. "The meats are all made into jerky, so there’s not enough dishes. The vegetables are made into pickles and put into jars. The flour is used to make bread, buns, and the others, which I put in the refrigerator. They didn’t take much space but can fill our bellies. Not the most comfortable food, but it will be filling."

Anna nodded and looked at the stack of buns on the table. No wonder that even lunch was accompanied with the buns. "What’s the filling?"

"Some leftover vegetables." Dylan looked at Anna helplessly. "I used peanuts for the rest because there’s not much ingredients left."

The others were put in the refrigerator.

"Ok." Anna nodded. "Well, maybe next we’ll only eat rice and pickles."

"That’s not impossible." Dylan nodded thoughtfully. Even if it was not the most delicious food, it was still pretty good. He also made a lot of pickles because the jars given by Anna, which she intended for him to hold water, were a lot. There were a full two boxes of it.

He even wondered whether Anna knew that there would be a disaster.

But that thought was quickly thrown away by him. Even his grandfather didn’t know that something like this would happen. How could Anna know?

That’s unrealistic.

But the situation was indeed not very good for the next development.

"Do you still have more plastic bags?"

"Uh... maybe?" Anna was not sure.

"Lend me some. The jars you gave to me were used to make pickles, so there’s not enough places." Dylan shrugged.

"Ok." Anna nodded calmly.

"Eat more. We might not be able to eat so comfortably in the future."

*Chuckle*

Anna laughed lightly. "Well, the flour can just be used to make pancakes. That would be good enough, right?"

"We need eggs for pancakes."

"Then..."

"How about..."
