I'm the Villainess in the Apocalypse-Chapter 34. Eating Together
Chapter 34: 34. Eating Together
Dylan and Anna ended up discussing about food for a long time. There was no longer much pressure about cooking so quickly because with the generator, they could still cook.
But some food couldn’t last long even if it was put in the refrigerator.
Which was why Dylan made a lot of pickles.
"There are still some meat in my refrigerator at home." Anna couldn’t bear the thought of not eating meat at all. Meat jerky might last long but their taste was definitely not the best.
Dylan chuckled. "Alright, I’ll cook meat dishes at night."
"Great!"
"Meow~."
"Ah, you’re also very happy, right, Kitty."
"Meow~."
"Speaking of Kitty, do you have enough cat food?" Anna thought of something. Kitty’s food was actually different from theirs except for the dried fish snacks that Dylan gave to Kitty from time to time.
"There are only two big packs left, but with Kitty’s appetite, it might run out quite fast." Dylan looked at Kitty and sighed.
Anna nodded. "I bought a few bags of cat food. Do you want them?"
There were also pet stores in the mall and their supplies were naturally sufficient in the storage. She definitely couldn’t say that she had more than 100, but she could give Dylan three to five bags.
She could just say that she prepared them for Kitty.
Anyway, this cat has been leeching off the four of them ever since they were young. The others also often gave him some snacks.
"Sure." Dylan looked at Anna curiously. "Did you clean up a mall and bought a lot of things recently?"
"You can say it like that. I emptied the card my father gave to me and bought a lot of things," Anna replied.
The first was true.
She did empty that card because she didn’t know whether her cheap father will want to block it because of some petty reasons. After she tore face with him, Anna didn’t really expect that her father would be willing to help her anyway.
So she felt that it would be best for her to just use what belong to her rather than worrying about it.
After the card is empty, the bank will naturally block it if it was not filled anymore.
So whether Mr. Williams will block it later or not didn’t seem to matter anymore for her.
The second one... was not completely true.
The reason why she has so many things was naturally because she emptied the storage of her father’s business. Though, Anna had no mental burden about this matter. It originally belongs to her mother anyway.
But the method was not exactly something to be proud of, so Anna had no intention to publicize this matter.
"No wonder." Dylan nodded in understanding.
Anna looked at Dylan, wondering whether he wanted to ask more questions to her. But seeing his posture of eating without making more question, Anna pursed her lips.
While she didn’t understand why he didn’t ask more, she was relieved.
After they finished eating, Anna went back to her apartment and handed the four bags of cat food to Dylan. Kitty’s eyes shone when he saw the bags and wanted to grab them, but Dylan blocked the naughty cat.
"You can’t eat them all at once." Anna chuckled and patted Kitty’s head before dragging the cat away while Dylan went to store the cat food.
After it was done, Dylan patted Kitty’s head. "I’m sure he’ll be very full in the next few days."
"It’s good for him to be full. But you’re still so heavy." Anna poked Kitty’s stomach.
"Meow!" Kitty meowed, protesting.
Dylan chuckled. "Do you want to join in for the practice?"
Anna thought for a moment. Even though she wanted to store more water, she was actually also worrying about her water bill that definitely has exploded by now. It was unknown how much money she would have to lose when the water flood returned to normal.
She had stored a lot of water, so it should be enough.
"Ok. I’ll come in the evening after I digest the food."
"Good. Do you want to call Lucy? Training together would be more fun and I’m sure that she’ll be bored without any electricity at home."
Anna thought about it and nodded.
Lucy and Mark was a training maniac, but the electricity at this time is limited. They couldn’t possibly waste them with using a lot of things at once.
It would be better to gather together.
"Sure."
"Ok. Let’s call them later."
Anna nodded and went back to her apartment. She walked to the kitchen to pour water again.
As for the bill?
Well, forget about it.
It was more important for her to make sure that she has enough water...
Even though there were already a lot in her space :)
