Chapter 35: 35. Water Cut and Quarrel

Anna thought that the water wouldn’t be cut anytime soon.

But she soon realized how wrong this thought is.

Looking at the drip of the water in front of her, Anna knew very well that the water has been cut by now.

Shaking her head, Anna went to the spare bedroom where she put the power banks that was charging. After thinking for a bit, Anna set up the other generator and started to charge these power banks again.

Taking out a generator would look a bit luxurious.

But these power banks were more common.

Even if she took out a different one, the others wouldn’t necessarily notice it unless they were paying close attention. The brands were the same and the outer appearance were similar to each other.

Anna sighed as she watched the generator worked.

In her life before, she never needed to worry about money because her mother will always fill her pocket money and provided her with everything. Living alone in this apartment allowed her to be more independent and had her own way of life.

It was not as comfortable as she used to be, but it was not that bad either.

At the very least, she didn’t feel wronged with her current life.

Anna suddenly thought about something and peeked at the group chat. As expected, the group chat exploded once more.

...

Garden Apartment Chat Group

1201: F***! F***! F***!

1201: After the electricity gone, now even the water is gone? How are you going to let us life?

1302: Brother, I’m now stuck in the toilet without water. Can someone spare me some water?

1001: Brother upstairs, just wipe it down.

1002: Do you not even have any tissue?

201: That’s not the problem here. How are we going to live with all of us stuck in this one room? The toilet is used by more than 10 people!

602: [lit a candle.jpg]

702: [lit a candle.jpg]

801: [lit a candle.jpg]

1401: [lit a candle.jpg]

201: This is not a damn funeral! Stop the candles!

[The administrator temporarily muted the chat]

1801: @all, I have just received the recent news about the water. It seemed that there has been some problems with the channels not long ago and the repair is impossible due to the flood outside.

1801: For drinking water, some people from the military will come to deliver it once a week. But for food, you will have to work to find something yourselves. The reserve grain couldn’t be opened yet.

1801: The amount of water wouldn’t be much, but if you used it sparingly, you will be able to live.

[the administrator lifted up the mute ban]

301: ...How long is this flood going to last?

402: The water is already rising to the fourth floor by now. Brothers, what do you think? I have already moved to 802. Thankfully 401 is empty or it’ll be very noisy.

501: Damn, does it mean the water will reach the fifth floor soon?

602: Brother, let’s pray it’ll never reach the sixth floor.

502: Does someone here willing to open the door for us to live? There are several people here, but we still have some food ourselves.

801: No, taking strangers in at this time is too dangerous. The room beside me is already very noisy with their quarrel due to the differences in the families living there. If you don’t know each other, you shouldn’t take them in.

502: @1601, can you please help your old friend.

1701: Friends? Don’t joke around @502. If you think that the beating I gave to your friend last time is not enough, I don’t mind giving a few more punches to you. Anyway, your skin is very thick and could resist beating, right?

502: Don’t be so hostile to us, we’re just trying to make do with this current situation. We’re all friends and friends should help each other, right?

1701: Heh, stop your mouth from uttering nonsense. You know very well what kind of virtue you have. Do you really think that you can moral kidnap us? I don’t have to feel that you’re the one with the worst situation here, right?

1601: We’re not friends and whether you live or die, it’s not my business.

502: Don’t be too much!

502: You’re so heartless.

1601: When you make me got kicked out of my own family and had to fend for myself, haven’t you thought that I will also close my door for you?

502: You...

1602: Whether you live or die has never been our business. You treat her as enemies and now you want to ask for her help, who give you the face? She had no obligation to help you in the slightest bit and if you try to come here, my words from before still stands. One come here, I’ll beat one. Two come, I’ll beat two.
