Chapter 151: Hubby

As Meyer was about to take Orian’s nipples into his mouth, there was a knock on the door that startled Orian and made Meyer glance at the door.

"Boss, there’s something urgent you need to know."

The person knocking on the door was Meyer’s only assistant and trusted friend, someone who always helped Meyer in everything.

Hearing him, Meyer felt frustrated because he had been interrupted while doing something he considered important.

"F*ck, is that work more important than what I’m doing right now?"

"Yes, boss, I can say that."

Meyer clenched his eyes shut, gritting his teeth in annoyance. He gently put Orian down from his lap.

"Babe, you take a rest until your hubby returns, okay?"

"But you said you’d let me go if I let you do that!"

"But I didn’t even suck, did I? So, let’s talk about this when I return. Until then, take a great rest."

Meyer got off the bed, adjusted his Hanfu properly, opened the door, and quickly stepped out, locking it from the outside.

From there, they both went to another room . Only Meyer’s bedroom had an ancient style because, since childhood, he had watched many dramas and movies set in ancient times.

He admired the way those male leads dressed and lived, so he designed his bedroom to reflect that era.

Except for his bedroom, everything else in his house was modern. When they reached in another room , there were numerous computers, and people wearing black hoodies and masks were working on them.

As soon as Meyer and his assistant stepped in, everyone glanced at them and nodded.

While adjusting his Hanfu, Meyer sat down on the chair.

"So, now tell me, what was this big problem?"

"Those four brothers, whose mate we kidnapped today—their information wasn’t showing up correctly earlier, but it just loaded now. And do you know who they are?"

"Who?" Meyer asked.

"They’re the princes of the Bloodfang pack, and Orian is their mate. Boss, I think we’ve made a mistake here. We shouldn’t have messed with those four princes. They’re incredibly powerful. I think we should cancel the contract and tell the client we can’t kill Orian."

Hearing that, Meyer ran his fingers through his long hair and glanced around for a moment before responding.

"Whose fault is this? You’re telling me now that we kidnapped the mate of those four princes? Well, I guess there’s nothing we can do now because I don’t have a refund policy."

"Boss, are we really going to mess with those princes? You know if you actually kill their mate, they’ll definitely take revenge."

Meyer knew very well how powerful those four princes were. In every pack, people talked about them.

Because of their reputation, many left their own packs to join the Bloodfang pack, hoping to meet any of the princes.

Many pack kings wished their sons could be like those princes so they wouldn’t have to worry about their pack’s future.

"He’s not their mate, so they don’t care about him at all. That kid himself told me he has a fated mate, and it’s not those four."

"So, Boss, are you going to kill that kid?"

"I’ll decide tonight."

On the other side, at the airport, Silas was so panicked that Lysander grabbed his hand to calm him down.

"Silas, everything is fine. Why are you stressing so much?"

"No, nothing is fine! Orian got kidnapped, and how can you say everything is fine? Don’t you care about him at all?"

It’s not like those four don’t care about Orian at all—they do. But they still have to stay calm because if they panic, it will only make things worse.

"Lysander, take him home. He’s not in his right mind right now."

Hearing that, Silas felt Damon was calling him "mental" indirectly just because he was worried about Orian. What else could that sentence possibly mean? Rather than insulting him.

Silas pulled his hand back from Lysander, took a step back, and met Damon’s gaze with cold, sharp eyes. Damon was already staring at him.

"I don’t need anyone to show me the way to my own house, Mr. Damon. It would be better if you showed your concern for your own mate instead of worrying about my mental health."

Silas’s words were sharp, carrying a weight of anger that all three of them could understand.

Damon opened his mouth, wanting to explain that he didn’t mean to imply Silas was "mental" — he was just worried.

However, before he could say anything, Silas turned away, leaving with Shine.

Velric gently held Shine’s hand as they walked out of the airport, leaving three of them standing in silence.

"Why is he behaving like this all of a sudden?" Damon muttered to himself.

Theron was looking at Silas with a worried face, and Lysnder was still in shock that Silas had taken his hand back from Lysnder’s hand.

When Silas and Shine came out of the airport, they saw Atlas waiting for them, sitting in the car. Damon had messaged Atlas, asking him to pick up Silas because he was worried about how Silas would get home.

"Oh, Atlas!" Shine exclaimed, his eyes widening in surprise. He hadn’t expected Atlas to come and pick them up.

"Yo, guys! How are you?" Atlas greeted them.

Just then, he noticed Velric. At first, Atlas thought Velric was there by mistake, but when they started getting into the car, Velric also got in and sat in the backseat with Silas.

"Wait, who is that kid?" Atlas couldn’t stop himself from asking, even though he hadn’t planned to.

Shine was sitting beside Atlas, and knowing that Silas’s mood wasn’t good right now, he replied,

"Um, it’s a long story, Atlas. I’ll tell you on the way."

After that, Shine explained everything to Atlas—what had happened in the Lupin Pack, how they ended up finding Velric, and much more.

"Gosh, such a complicated story. I feel pity for that poor kid—I know he must be scared right now," Atlas glanced at Velric through the rearview mirror as he spoke.
