Mated to Four Alphas-Chapter 152: Misunderstanding -1
Chapter 152: Misunderstanding -1
Silas’s POV
Did I really lose my mind after hearing that my one and only brother got kidnapped?
I wasn’t worried about him at first since I knew those four brothers would take good care of him and keep him safe.
But look at what they did—they left him alone in the house, and now he’s been kidnapped.
My poor Orian... How is he doing? I hope he’s not hurt and is safe and sound because I can’t bear it if anything happens to my brother.
As I was lost in my thoughts, Velric rested his head on my lap while lying down on the seat.
I’m such a pathetic person—I brought this kid with me, and now I’m not even paying attention to him.
"Velric, are you tired?"
I asked while gently patting Velric’s head. Suddenly, he grabbed my hand and rubbed it against his cheek, closing his eyes while still holding onto my fingers. I glanced out of the car window—it was almost evening.
Just then, my phone rang. I saw it was Lysander calling, so I answered.
(Silas) "Hello, Lysander."
(Lysander) "Where are you right now? Did you reach your apartment yet?"
(Silas) "Not yet, but why are you asking?"
(Lysander) "Kael is about to restore the CCTV footage. Do you want to come and see it? You seemed really worried about Orian, so I thought I’d let you know."
(Silas) "Of course I want to come! Just tell me where to go."
Lysander told me to come to Kael’s studio. I didn’t care if it was his studio—all I cared about right now was Orian.
I gave Atlas the address of Kael’s studio so he could drop me off there. By the time we arrived, it was already dark, and both Atlas and Shine seemed ready to come with me.
"You both don’t need to come. I can handle this, and Atlas, drop Shine home, okay?"
After saying that, I picked up Velric, who was sleeping, and went inside. I knocked on the door, and Lysander opened it. As I stepped in, I saw Kael working on his laptop, Damon standing in the corner talking to someone on the call, and Theron standing beside Kael, focused on the screen.
Lysander took Velric from me and gently placed him on the sofa. Everyone looked worried, and Kael’s expression was unusually serious. I quietly stood there like the rest because Kael hadn’t finished yet. Then suddenly—
"It got recovered!"
As soon as I heard that, I quickly stepped toward Kael, and everyone else did the same. We all stood behind him, our eyes glued to the laptop screen. As Kael played the CCTV footage, I was shocked.
No one had entered the house to kidnap Orian. There was nothing suspicious at all. It was Orian himself, walking around the entire mansion alone, glancing at the servants who were busy with their work.
My brother was completely alone in the mansion. Even though there were servants, they didn’t seem to interact with him. He just wandered around the place alone, and watching that made my heart ache. But then, I saw him pause, staring at the main door. After thinking for about five minutes, he left the mansion and never came back.
"What is this? He went out on his own?" Kael muttered.
"He was alone! Can’t you see that? How was he supposed to live there when no one was talking to him? It’s not like he was some kind of object—he’s a living person!" I snapped.
Hearing me, Kael stayed silent, his eyes still on the screen. But what now? Where is Orian? How is he doing? What happened to him?
There were no answers to these questions.
"Wait, I’ll tell them to check the surroundings of our mansion," Damon said, quickly calling his bodyguards to instruct them.
Kael tried to search for more information on his laptop, but he couldn’t find anything. Just then, my phone rang. It was from an unknown number, but I answered it anyway.
(Silas): Hello?
(Unknown): Hello. As you instructed, we’ve killed Orian after kidnapping him.
(Silas): WHAT? Killed Orian? What do you mean by this? And first of all, who are you?
Before I could fully process what was happening, Kael suddenly snatched the phone from my hand. His eyes widened as he listened, and then he put the call on speaker.
(Unknown): As you said, Mr. Silas, we kidnapped Orian two days ago and killed him a few minutes ago.
What the hell is this man talking about? When did I ever say anything like that? I was still processing the shock when Kael suddenly slapped me, and my phone fell to the ground.
As soon as my phone fell on the ground, it switched off. Just then, Kael pushed me down to the floor. As I fell, I realized that from that call, it looked like I was the mastermind behind all of this.
"It’s really not me! That man was lying, I swear! I don’t even know him!" I tried to explain, my voice trembling.
"Oh, really? You’re a real bítch! You made this whole plan, and you were even pretending to be worried about him! After all, it was you who wanted him to die!" Kael yelled, his eyes blazing with anger.
"Please believe me! It’s not me! Why would I want him dead?" I pleaded desperately.
"Of course, because you want to seduce all my brothers, and he was our mate. You were jealous of him!" Kael accused, his words cutting deep.
"Kael, believe me! I didn’t do this... It’s a trap!" I tried to defend myself, my eyes shifting to Damon. I knew he would believe me—he had to.
"Damon, you know I wouldn’t do something like this, right?" I asked, my voice trembling.
But then I saw it—the doubt in his eyes. Those same eyes that once looked at me with trust were now judging me, believing I was the culprit. My heart sank.
