Mated to Four Alphas-Chapter 167: Misunderstanding - 16
Chapter 167: Misunderstanding - 16
Silas’s POV
I was happy that the man was going to take us to Orian. But one thing was hard to digest—Theron was the master of Dark Valley.
I knew that when I was kidnapped, Theron was the one who saved me, and he had a mansion there. So, I guessed he was some kind of member of Dark Valley.
But I didn’t expect him to be the master of Dark Valley, the one who created it. It’s not like I hate him for that.
I’m not going to complain about him creating Dark Valley either. No, I will not. Because it has nothing to do with me—whatever he creates.
It’s his own idea. Why would I interfere? Why would I say something about those things? It was just unexpected for me, that’s all.
"Wait, I didn’t ask your name, Mr. Assassin," I said.
"Meyer."
So, this—his name was Meyer. I could tell by the outfit he was wearing, his long hair, and the way he talked that the name Meyer suited him.
After that, I stood up because, obviously, we needed to leave. As soon as I stood up, Velric also jumped down from the sofa.
"Mumma, where are we going? Are we going to play?"
I smiled at Velric. "No, but we’re going to meet someone. You can play there if you want."
"Yessss... I’m going out with my mumma! I’m going out with my mumma! I’m going out with my mumma!"
I didn’t know why Velric was this excited, repeating the same sentence so many times, but I didn’t say anything. If he’s happy, then let him be happy. Why would I interfere with his happiness?
"If you’re done, then let’s go. I don’t have much time to waste here."
What did Meyer mean by saying he didn’t have time to waste? Was he calling us jobless people with too much time? We were busy too—we just didn’t show it.
"Hey, we’ll take as much time as we want, so don’t interfere with us."
Oh my god, Theron and his cold lines. When he said something like this to Meyer, I felt kind of happy because Meyer was the type of person who looked down on others just because he was an elite assassin.
But as soon as Theron said he was the master of Dark Valley, Meyer seemed scared of him. Obviously, the master of Dark Valley was far above an elite assassin.
After that, I changed my clothes since I was still wearing pajamas, having not gone out all day. I put on a t-shirt and pants. When I came out of my room, I saw Velric in Theron’s arms. So, they had made up.
Well, it’s good that they made up because Theron wasn’t the one who did anything wrong. Yes, those three had done something, and it wasn’t like they did many things wrong, but still... Velric shouldn’t talk to them until I say so.
I walked up to Theron and patted Velric’s head.
"So, you finally made up?"
"Yes," Velric replied.
I was happy, too, because Velric had started talking to Theron again. That was good. After that, we left the apartment.
As we stepped outside, I saw Shine standing there.
But he had a bandage on his forehead, and he looked pale. Seeing that, I quickly rushed to him.
"What happened to your forehead, Shine?"
"It’s nothing. Last night, while going home, I had a small accident."
A small accident. When I asked Shine for more details, I found out that he was simply going home. As soon as he stepped out of the taxi, a bike came speeding by, lost its balance, and hit him. That’s how he fell and got injured. But he was fine now.
Thank god he’s fine.
"But Silas, who is that man? And where are you all going?"
I wanted to explain everything to Shine, but Meyer was there, so I couldn’t tell him what happened last night. Instead, I decided to take Shine along with us.
"Shine you are not hurting anywhere right?"
"Yes.....i am totally fine"
When we reached downstairs, Theron had brought his car. Meyer also had his own car. Meyer offered Shine a seat in his car, and Shine accepted. Then, Velric and I got into Theron’s car.
I sat down in the passenger seat with Velric on my lap. I offered him the back seat, but he refused, saying he wanted to sit with me.
Once we settled in, Theron started driving. Meyer had told him to follow his lead.
But damn, Meyer was driving so slowly—like a turtle. If we kept going at this speed, when the hell were we going to get there?
It was so irritating. Just then, Velric touched my chin, making me glance at him.
"Mumma... that white-haired sister is so pretty."
"What?! White-haired sister?"
I couldn’t understand who he was talking about. Then, I heard Theron cough. I glanced at Theron, and it hit me—he was calling Meyer a "white-haired sister."
"No, Velric. He’s not a sister; he’s a guy. Call him brother."
"But Daddy said he’s a sister, and if I liked him, I can marry him."
My eyes immediately turned to Theron. But he didn’t glance at me. He was looking straight ahead, like he knew if he made eye contact, I’d glare at him.
"Theron, why are you teaching the child wrong things? Meyer is a guy! Why did you tell him he’s a sister?"
"What? When did I teach him wrong? Well, that guy has long hair and his skin looks like a girl’s. That’s why I said it. And Velric, if you want, I can make him your servant too."
I sighed. What could I even say now? It was clear they had talked about this while I was changing earlier.
And Velric was nodding in agreement, as if Theron could actually make Meyer his servant.
I knew that was impossible. Given Meyer’s attitude, he didn’t seem like the type to listen to anyone.
