Chapter 168: Misunderstanding - 17

Silas’s POV

"Well, it’s okay if you’re saying this in front of me, but don’t say things like this in front of Meyer, okay? Or else they’ll think I didn’t teach you anything."

"Okay, Mumma, don’t worry. It’s a secret between us."

And after a while, the journey—which I thought would be short—ended up taking us a whole two hours just to come out of the Bloodfang Pack.

When we finally came out of the pack, I was shocked because I had thought Meyer was living in the Bloodfang Pack. But I was wrong—he wasn’t living there.

We had to cross the border, but since Theron was with us and Meyer also had his ID card, it was a piece of cake for us to pass through the Bloodfang Pack’s border. After that, we reached the Sky Pack.

Well, I didn’t really know anything about Sky Pack. This was my first time even hearing that such a pack existed. Before this, I had no idea.

And once we entered the pack, I noticed how different it was from both my own pack and the Bloodfang Pack.

There were so many green forests, and it felt like nature itself was alive here. The view was breathtaking.

I was staring outside the window—the cold wind brushing against my skin gave off a nice vibe. The weather wasn’t summer; it was winter, so of course, the atmosphere was pleasant.

The black and dusky sky looked like it was going to rain soon. Seeing that, I felt happy because I like raining so much.

After a while, we finally arrived in front of a villa. It looked good, and right beside it was another villa. Both villas were connected by a single path, allowing people to move between them easily.

As soon as we stopped in front of the villa, Theron stepped out of the car. He opened the door for me, offering his hand to help me out, while using his other hand to take Velric from me.

I stepped out of the car, holding his hand.

Shine and Meyer also got out. Shine walked over to me as soon as he reached, and then Meyer led us inside.

The moment we stepped in, I felt nervous. I was about to meet my brother and tell him everything—how I was his brother, how he was lost in childhood, and everything else.

Just then, Velric suddenly said he wanted to get down from Theron’s arms, so Theron put him down. The second he was on the ground, Velric dashed ahead.

I knew my apartment was small, and seeing such a big villa, he was obviously excited. But this wasn’t our house, so he couldn’t run around like that.

He ran far from us, too fast.

"Velric, don’t run around in someone else’s house! Come back here quickly!" I shouted.

"It’s okay, let him play. I like children, so I don’t mind. And this is my big villa; he can play wherever he wants."

Meyer... is actually a nice person? Letting Velric play as much as he wants?

But after hearing me shout, Velric came back and stood in front of me.

Just then, Meyer spoke again.

"Kiddo, do you wanna play? My assistant is really good at hide and seek. And as you can see, there are so many places to hide. If you play with him, it’s going to be super exciting."

"Really? Can I play?"

After saying that, Velric glanced at me with hopeful eyes, silently asking for permission. If he wanted to have fun, I wasn’t going to stop him—especially since Meyer was okay with it.

Still, I glanced at Theron to see what he thought. He gave me a nod, signaling that it was fine to let Velric play.

"Okay, Velric, you can play, but don’t get hurt, okay?"

"Can I play with Velric too?"

Suddenly, Shine spoke up, stepping forward to stand beside Velric. Velric immediately looked happy—now he had more people to play with.

Meyer didn’t refuse. Instead, he said yes, allowing Shine to join in as well.

Soon, Meyer’s assistant arrived. The moment I saw him, his hairstyle immediately reminded me of a soldier’s cut.

I wasn’t entirely sure, but I had seen many soldiers with the same haircut before, and Meyer’s assistant had that exact same cut. If he really was a soldier, then this was good news for Shine.

They left to play, while Meyer took us further inside. As we walked through the corridor, we eventually reached the living room.

The moment we entered, we saw Orian sitting on the sofa, watching TV. There were a ton of snacks on the table in front of him—he was busy eating wafers, his legs propped up comfortably on the sofa.

"Babe, I’m home."

Orian immediately jumped down from his seat and ran toward Meyer, hugging him tightly. He hadn’t even noticed us yet since we were behind Meyer.

But as he hugged Meyer, his eyes suddenly landed on me and Theron. The moment he saw Theron, he quickly broke the hug.

He stood there frozen, his face turning gloomy.

Just a second ago, he was smiling happily after seeing Meyer. But the instant he saw Theron, his mood dropped.

Then, Orian suddenly grabbed Meyer’s hand and held it tightly while glancing at Theron.

I think... Orian is scared.

Does he think Theron came to take him back? I had thought that, those four brothers were treating him so Orian loved them but that’s not the seems like.

But now, I was seeing a completely different scene.

The person who was ordered to kill Orian... turned out to be Orian’s safe haven. Because right now, Orian seemed the most comfortable with Meyer.

The way he was clinging to Meyer’s arm. The way Meyer had let him sit in the living room, watch TV, and eat as many snacks as he wanted.

Meyer was treating Orian really well.

Finally... my brother was happy and seeing him i am happy too.

That’s all that matters to me.
