Mated to Four Alphas-Chapter 172: Misunderstanding - 21
Chapter 172: Misunderstanding - 21
Silas’s POV
After a while, Meyer showed us our rooms. Velric and I were in one room, Shine was in another, and Theron had his own. Meyer told us to freshen up while dinner was being prepared.
As we stepped into the room, Velric jumped onto the bed. I guess he was still in the mood to play more. And as he jumped...
"Mumma, you should come too! It feels so nice lying here!"
Then what? I also jumped on the bed because I wanted to see how comfortable it was. And oh, it was so soft, so comfy. I felt like I was in heaven.
"Mumma, it feels so nice that I want to sleep."
"Yeah, me too."
Honestly, I didn’t plan to fall asleep, but when we both closed our eyes for just a second, I don’t know how, but we didn’t open them again—we just dozed off. It was so sudden.
When I finally opened my eyes, it was because of a knocking sound at the door. As soon as I heard it, I realized we had fallen asleep.
I had no idea how much time had passed, and someone was knocking on the door. I quickly got up from the bed and went over to open it. When I did, I saw Theron standing there.
"Oh, Theron... Sorry, Velric and I accidentally fell asleep."
My eyes were still blurry, so I couldn’t see Theron’s expression clearly. He didn’t say anything either. And then—warmth pressed against my body.
I could clearly hear a heartbeat, and it wasn’t mine. All I could see was Theron’s chest because he had pulled me into his embrace. His grip was tight around my back.
The action was so sudden that I was stunned for a moment, trying to process what was happening. Words wouldn’t come out of my mouth at that moment. My hands clenched on his back, hugging him back instinctively.
Slowly, his grip loosened, and he dropped his head onto my shoulder. I flinched because my shoulders were ticklish, and his face touching them sent shivers down my spine. His breath was warm against my neck.
"I was worried since you didn’t come to eat dinner and weren’t opening the door either. But thank God you were just sleeping."
His voice was barely above a whisper. His hands were still on my waist, and suddenly, he pulled me even closer. We were already so close that our bodies were pressed against each other, but he still pulled me in more.
His big hands wrapped around my whole body—it was a little terrifying. Knowing someone is stronger than you means they can do anything to you.
But if it had been someone else, I would’ve pushed them away. Yet, I didn’t push Theron away.
"Mumma... Where are you?"
As soon as that voice reached our ears, we immediately moved away from each other, looking in different directions as if nothing had happened.
I quickly turned toward Velric. He was sitting on the bed, rubbing his eyes. I think he must’ve woken up and not seen me beside him, which was why he called out.
"Velric, you’re awake."
I climbed onto the bed and touched Velric’s head. He was still rubbing his eyes, but when he saw me, he quickly hugged me.
"Mumma, I’m scared. I had a very bad dream."
I took him onto my lap. "Really? What did you see in your dream?"
"I don’t remember, but I think there were ghosts... But what about eating?"
"We already ate," Theron said as he sat down on the bed.
"We ate without you."
"How can you eat without me, Daddy?" Velric pouted.
"Aww, I’m sorry, my boy. Come here."
Theron pulled Velric into his arms, and seeing them like that, it felt like Velric was our child—like we were a real family. A perfect family.
Wait... What the hell am I thinking? I don’t like Theron... Yes, I don’t like him... Then why am I thinking about him like this? Is it because he’s my fated mate?
No, Silas, don’t think about that. The internet was lying. It’s impossible for Theron and Damon to be my fated mates.
I was lost in my thoughts when I suddenly heard shouting. When I glanced at them, I realized they were calling me.
"Sorry, I was thinking about something else... What were you saying again?"
"I think we’ll have to drop our plans for tomorrow because it’s raining right now... and it’s not even monsoon season." fгeewёbnoѵel.cσm
It’s raining?! My eyes lit up. I love the rain. I used to stand under it all the time when I was in Ironclaw Pack.
"Theron, are you serious? It’s really raining?"
"Yes, shorty. Why would I lie to you?"
"Daddy, why are you calling Mumma shorty?"
"Because he’s shorter than me. Simple."
I was excited about the rain, and here they were, talking about my height. Velric was still young, so he might get sick if he got drenched. Theron also seemed to care about him, so I decided to let them stay inside while I went to enjoy the rain on my own.
"Theron, stay here with Velric. I have some work to do."
"What work? Are you going to the washroom?"
I jumped down from the bed. "I’m going to drench myself in the rain."
"Nope, shorty, you can’t go. Do you want to get sick or something? Getting drenched in the rain isn’t good for your health—especially when it’s not even monsoon season."
Okay, Theron was worried about me, but I still wanted to go. We only get to live once, so why not enjoy it to the fullest? Do whatever we want without worrying about the consequences.
"Theron, thank you for worrying about me."
Saying that, I ran toward the door.
As I ran, suddenly, Theron grabbed my hand from behind.
"Shorty, don’t be naughty."
"Theron, let go of my hand right now! I wasn’t asking for your permission—I was just letting you know earlier."
