Chapter 175: Misunderstanding - 24

On the other side, after two days, Damon was sitting on the sofa.

’Did Silas really do all this? Did he really plan to kill Orian so he could stay with us?’

Damon kept thinking again and again about what happened that night. It was not as simple as it looked, but no matter which way he looked at it, Silas seemed to be the only culprit.

Or maybe Damon didn’t really want to find out who the real culprit was.

Because Orian had left the mansion on his own, it was also possible that Damon was just searching for someone to blame for Orian’s kidnapping.

And at that exact moment, the tables turned, making it seem like Silas was the mastermind behind Orian’s kidnapping.

Even now, after blaming him, Damon was still thinking about Silas.

Silas hadn’t come to the company either. Damon had sent people to Silas’s apartment, only to find the door locked.

He only knew that Silas had gone somewhere, but he didn’t bother to check where Silas and Velric had gone and just continued working.

When he was typing on his laptop, his mobile rang. Hearing it, he thought Silas had probably called to apologize, but when he saw the caller ID, it was Theron. When Damon answered—

-( Damon ) "Yes, Theron, what happened?"

-( Theron ) "Where are you right now? Come to the mansion in 10 minutes, I have something urgent to talk about."

-( Damon ) "What do you want to talk about? Say it on the call because I’m very busy right now."

-( Theron ) "Damon, are you fooling yourself or me? Because I called your company and found out from your assistant that you took the day off."

-( Damon ) "I’m reaching home in fifteen minutes."

Damon hung up the call. After getting ready, he left his house.

Two days ago When Theron first woke up, he didn’t remember anything that had happened that night in the bathroom.

But when he did, he got very scared about what he had done to Silas. The main question was—how did his rut cycle suddenly start for the first time?

He could still feel Silas’s strawberry pheromones, which was super strange for Theron.

For an hour after waking up, he just kept thinking. In the end, he came to the conclusion that it could be possible that Silas was his fated mate.

He didn’t know about his other three brothers at that moment—he was only thinking about himself.

And since his rut cycle hadn’t ended in just one day, he took a full two days to rest.

After getting better, Theron tried to talk to Silas, but Silas said he wasn’t ready to talk about that night. Since Silas wanted some time, Theron didn’t bother him at all.

Without wasting any time, they left because Meyer said he couldn’t leave Orian alone. So he also came with them.

As Meyer planned, Theron and Orian would go inside the mansion while Silas, Velric, and Meyer and waited in the car. And shine had already went back to his house.

Even though those three were his brothers, Theron was still angry at them. That’s why he called each of them one by one and told them to come to the mansion.

---

After a while, Damon parked his car and stepped into the mansion. When he went inside, he saw Kael and Lysander were already standing there.

"Where is Theron?" Damon asked while glancing at his watch, which was wrapped around his wrist.

Lysander was sitting on the sofa without saying anything, looking like he was lost in thought.

His pale face and the dark circles under his eyes showed how little he had been sleeping these days. Lysander was only biting his nails while staring at the floor.

Kael was standing behind the sofa, scrolling on his mobile phone. Seeing both of them, Damon also sat down.

"Damon."

As Damon heard his name, he glanced up. Kael and Lysander also looked toward the door. But what they saw made all three of their eyes widen as they froze like statues.

Because Theron had entered with Orian.

Lysander and Damon quickly stood up, but before they could move to reach Orian, Kael went first and hugged him.

"Thank God you’re safe and sound, Orian! You know how worried I was about you... I thought something had happened to you... But seeing you like this, I’m so happy," Kael said, breaking the hug.

Lysander and Damon also reached them.

"Theron, where did you find Orian? And if you found out where he was, why didn’t you tell me? Why did you go alone to rescue Orian?"

Damon assumed that Theron had found out where Orian was kidnapped and had gone alone to rescue him. But he was actually wrong—Theron hadn’t done anything like that.

Instead, he had made a deal with the kidnapper, Meyer, to bring Orian back. freewёbn૦νeɭ.com

"Yes, bro, at least you should have called me! You know I was the most worried about Orian," Kael said.

Theron was literally staring at Kael. At first, Kael didn’t notice and kept talking to Orian, even though Orian wasn’t responding. Orian was also angry about how Kael had hurt Silas.

Then, in the next second, Kael finally noticed Theron’s gaze—and also that Orian wasn’t answering him.

"Orian, what happened? Why aren’t you saying anything?"

Just then, Orian glanced at Kael and moved toward him. Kael didn’t know why Orian was coming closer, but suddenly, Orian raised his hand and slapped him.

That slap didn’t just hurt Kael’s face—it hurt his pride. Because even in his dreams, he never expected that Orian would slap him.

Kael touched his cheek. "Why did you slap me, Orian?"

And just then, it hit Kael—he had been unable to save Orian in time. That’s why Orian was angry; he must have been terrified of the kidnappers. In fact, one slap wasn’t enough to bring Kael back to his right mind i think.

Kael was about to say something when, out of nowhere, Theron punched him in the face and threw him to the ground.
