Chapter 176: Misunderstanding - 25••

With a thud, Kael found himself lying on the ground, his face touching the shining tiles. He was unable to understand what had just happened a moment ago. And why did Theron punch him all of a sudden?

Damon and Lysander were just as shocked as Kael. Damon even took a step toward Kael to help him up.

"Theron, bro, are you out of your mind?" Kael mumbled.

Kael rested his hand on the ground, and with its support, he was about to stand up—just then Theron stepped forward and stepped on Kael’s hand, which shocked everyone.

"THERON, WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING?"

Damon shouted in anger, unable to stop himself when Theron stepped on Kael’s hand.

"What am I doing?"

Theron pressed his shoe on Kael’s hand even more while asking.

"Ughh," Kael tried to break his hand free but was unable to.

Damon stepped forward, pushed Theron away from Kael’s hand, and helped Kael stand up. But this behavior of Theron hurt Kael. Kael’s face became expressionless.

"Theron, what’s wrong with you? How can you step on your own younger brother’s hand? And how can you even hit him?"

Theron smirked while brushing off his clothes.

"So now stepping on someone’s hand and pushing someone counts as hitting, doesn’t it? Still, you remained silent that night... why?"

"What are you talking about? I don’t understand at all, Theron." Damon confused

"Orian is alive now. Seeing him alive, don’t you remember anything? How you all ganged up on one weak omega... just because of that damn phone call... You didn’t even try to believe Silas. And what did Kael do? He pushed Silas, swore at him, stepped on his hand. And at that time, you also didn’t say anything, Damon."

"Or don’t tell me you just thought it was easier to blame Silas rather than try searching for Orian."

"THERON," Damon raised his voice. "At that moment, anyone would’ve thought the same. And yes, I know what Kael did was wrong. I did scold him later for that, because this is not what our parents taught us."

Theron was shocked after hearing Damon. He wasn’t accepting what they did was wrong—he was just saying anyone could think like that in that moment.

Theron touched his forehead before continuing.

"Do you think that’s all Kael did? Didn’t he tell you what else he did?"

Damon was confused, because he didn’t know what else Kael had done. So he turned his gaze to Kael.

"What else did you do to Silas?"

"I didn’t do anything else, bro," Kael muttered, but Damon heard that.

Theron grew even angrier after hearing that. Kael was clearly lying in front of Damon now. And the fact is—no one knows what exactly Kael did. Only Theron knows, because of his special ability.

"He didn’t do anything else? So Theron, it would be better if you try to control your anger in front of your brothers from now on." Damon said. While staring at theron.

"He didn’t do anything? Don’t make me a fool. And Kael, if you really didn’t do anything, then who sent those six alpha killers—those thugs—to Silas’s apartment that same night to torture him?"

"And Damon, you don’t know anything. That’s why you’re taking his side now. But those six killers had meat-cutting knives, a big baseball bat, shackles, and many more weapons—just to torture Silas. Do you think, after being tortured by those weapons, Silas would’ve been alive? And that little kid was with him too."

When Theron told the truth, Damon and Lysander’s eyes widened. Their faces turned pale.

"Theron, please tell me Silas is alive, right?" Damon’s voice trembled as he asked Theron.

Because after knowing that six alpha thugs with weapons went to kill a single omega, there seemed to be no chance of survival at all.

"Why are you asking me? Ask Kael. He must have gotten the report from his people after they finished the job."

Theron didn’t tell anyone that nothing had happened to Silas at all. In fact, it was Silas who had killed those six alphas.

’That night, when Silas left from there, after a while, I was randomly staring into kael’s eyes and didn’t realize how five seconds passed—and I started hearing his exact thoughts. When I heard them, I was shocked, but I didn’t tell anyone. I directly went to save Silas. Because this ability of mine—mind reading—Dad told me not to tell anyone about it since childhood, not even my brothers.’

Because of Theron’s ability, he was able to find out all these things. And Kael, after hearing he was exposed, still didn’t say a word. He was only standing there, looking down.

"Kael, look at me," Damon said. fɾēewebnσveℓ.com

But Kael took a step back instead of answering Damon.

"Mr. Damon, you have spoiled Kael so much that now he’s become a murderer... If something happens to Silas because of him, I swear I’m not gonna leave him alone." Lysander’s words were heavy, and his eyes had become clouded.

"Silas didn’t do anything at all. He wasn’t the one who offered money to someone to get me kidnapped or killed."

Orian said this, and after hearing him, the atmosphere grew even heavier. Their faces were filled with guilt.

Because now even Orian himself proved that Silas was innocent, and Damon was remembering how he had behaved with Silas that night—everything he had said was wrong. But he thought everything was over now.

Because they still didn’t know that Silas is alive and safe and sound.

"It’s all my fault. I was the one who called Silas to Kael’s studio that night. If I hadn’t called him there this wouldn’t have happened... I knew that Kael hates Silas, still I called him—and now, this is what happened."

Lysander was blaming himself. He also didn’t trust Silas at that night.

Damon suddenly fell to his knees, and seeing that, Theron’s attention shifted to Damon.

"What have I done?" Damon covered his face with both hands, as tears flowed down from his eyes without stopping.
