Mated to Four Alphas-Chapter 222: Separation - 3
Chapter 222: Separation - 3
"By the way, Kara, what happened to your lips? Why do they seem swollen, and your lower lip looks wounded too?"
Kara quickly looked away because he was flustered.
After all, his lips were swollen because Joha had kissed him and bitten his lower lip.
But Kara couldn’t say that to Silas.
"It was some kind of insect... because we traveled through the forest, didn’t we?"
"Yes, you’re right. But you should’ve paid attention, because that wound looks like it’s hurting a lot. I’m sure when that insect bit you, you must have been in a lot of pain."
Well, it wasn’t pain—but pleasure—for Kara. But he couldn’t say that out loud. So he just changed the subject.
"Are you hungry, Silas? You didn’t eat anything since last night until now. I haven’t eaten either, and I’m kinda hungry."
Silas just realized that he hadn’t eaten since last night. And he hadn’t even noticed.
Now that Kara mentioned it, Silas started to feel hungry. But his main goal was to find Velric and eat with him.
"I’m not that hungry. It’s okay. I’ll eat later."
"Silas, an empty stomach is going to make you lose your mind. You won’t be able to focus on finding that kid."
Silas also found truth in what Kara just said—if he didn’t eat, his mind wouldn’t stay in one place, and he wouldn’t be able to concentrate on finding Velric.
They both stood there near the bike. After 20 minutes, a car arrived.
It was a black car, and when the door opened, Jeren stepped out and rushed to Silas.
"Silas, are you okay? Now tell me about that kid."
"Mr. Jeren..."
"First, get inside the car. Then we’ll go to find that kid." Jeren suggest.
Silas glanced at Kara. How could he just leave from there, leaving Kara alone? That would be very rude—after all, Kara stayed to help him.
"Kara, thank you for helping me. But if you’re busy, then you can leave. No need to stay."
Kara glanced at Jeren, then at Silas. Then he thought for a moment—they both looked alike.
"I didn’t know your father was going to pick you up. Okay, you can go with your father. I’ll go. I have some work anyway."
Kara got on his bike after saying that, and didn’t even give Silas a chance to explain that Jeren wasn’t his father.
Before Silas could explain, Kara left from there at full speed.
After he left, Silas glanced over to Jeren. Jeren gently smiled at him and opened the car door.
Silas got in and sat in the back seat, and Jeren also got in the back seat.
Just then Silas noticed someone else sitting was sitting on the driving seat—it was Jeren’s assistant, the one he’d met last time.
"Hello, Mr. Assistant."
"Call me D, young maste—I mean, Silas." He said while driving
Silas got confused because it was the first time he heard of someone with only one-letter name.
"Only D? Does D have any meaning or something?"
Jeren smiled after hearing that and answered.
"His name is Dragon, but he doesn’t like that name. That’s why he shortened it to D."
"Oh, I see. So his name is Dragon. Dragon is a cool name too, but D is also cool—I’ve never met someone with just one letter for a name."
D scratched his own head while driving, because he was happy someone had complimented his name.
"This is why I named myself D."
Silas smiled and looked ahead.
Jeren glanced at Silas.
Now that he knew Silas was his son, he noticed how alike they looked—their hair, their skin color, even their personality and behavior were the same.
The worried face Silas was making right now—Jeren made the same face when he was worried.
But the main question in Jeren’s mind was: who is Velric?
He wanted to ask about that kid, but he didn’t have the courage. He thought, what if asking offends Silas?
That’s why he stayed silent. But Silas understood he needed to tell Jeren everything so he could help him find Velric.
"Actually, Mr. Jeren..."
Silas began to tell him about the party—how he had slapped Kael when Kael was hugging Jeren, and Kael saw that.
After that, everything became a mess. Damon even punished him for slapping Kael and sent him to the Lupin Pack, where a strange virus was spreading.
Silas found that kid there—Velric, who had no parents. He brought him back, and that kid became very attached to him.
Hearing all that, Jeren became angry at Damon—how dare he punish Jeren’s son? And at Kael too.
As Silas kept talking, he didn’t stop. He shared everything that had happened so far.
He didn’t even know why he was telling Jeren all this—but once he started, he couldn’t stop.
He told him how Kael had sent six alpha men to kill him.
And what happened after that—the black magic on Velric, which Theron transferred onto himself.
Then they went to the temple, and after they returned, everything was a mess because Damon’s mother had handed Velric over to the police.
"Now I know why you were terminating the contract with Damon’s company. That bastard doesn’t deserve to be CEO. You won’t work with him anymore, don’t worry. And that Kael—I’m going to punish him in every way."
"It’s not like I’ve forgiven them, but I don’t want to meet them again. That’s why I didn’t do anything. And they’re in big positions. They’re the princes of this pack. What can I even do to them? And you—don’t do anything either. I don’t want them to hold grudges against you."
"Don’t worry about me, Silas. They can’t do anything to me. Even if they’re the princes of this pack, they still have to respect me."
Silas became silent and wondered if he did the right thing by sharing all this with Jeren.
But now that he knew everything, Jeren was ready to help search for Velric. They first went to the nearest police station.
But when they went inside, they found nothing about Velric at all. So they came back out shortly after.
