Chapter 237: Winner is already decided

"Wow, this drama sounds like intense love," Silas commented.

D nodded and left after telling them which floor the auditions were being held on.

Both Shine and Silas went to the third floor, where the auditions were taking place.

Many actors and actresses were waiting there. It was yet to be decided who would be cast in the role of the Omega—a male Omega or a female Omega.

Director and producer are searching for the talanted actor and actress who can potray that role on the screen deeply Whoever suited the role better would be chosen.

Since Silas’s first drama had become so famous, he was now a recognizable face.

The other actors bowed to Silas upon seeing him, because they knew who he was.

His first drama had been with Lysander, who was the biggest and most famous Alpha actor in the industry.

Silas and Shine sat down on the chairs where other actors were also seated.

Newbies who hadn’t even debuted yet were there too, and they started sweating the moment they saw Silas.

Because of the way he acted in his previous drama, they knew Silas was a great actor—and this role could very well go to him.

They were murmuring among themselves, but it was a little louder than a whisper, so Silas could hear everything they were saying.

Still, he glanced around like he hadn’t heard anything and pretended to be busy talking with Shine.

After a few seconds, Silas opened the script and began memorizing the lines.

As he read, he was already feeling the scene—he was feeling the weight of those dialogues.

One by one, everyone was going inside for their audition, and then coming back out.

The final results were going to be announced two hours after the auditions were completed.

"Silas, how is everything? Is the script simple, or are you finding anything difficult?" Shine asked.

He could already see the expressions on the faces around them, and he understood that the audition was going to be tough—since actors from every category were present.

That’s why he asked Silas, but Silas just smiled and shook his head, silently telling him that the script wasn’t that difficult.

Then he went back to focusing on the script.

"Don’t worry, everything’s going to be fine. I know you’ll do great. Fighting!"

Shine tried to cheer up Silas, but Silas wasn’t feeling nervous at all.

He didn’t even know why. After reading the script, it just felt simple to him.

Then his name was announced, calling him inside.

Hearing that, he stood up, gave a fighting sign toward Shine, and walked into the audition room.

As he entered, there was a table where five people were seated. There were two women and three men.

Just by looking, he could already tell the three men were Alphas.

But the two women confused him—there were no Omega pheromones coming from them, and their physical appearances made it hard to guess.

Unlike the Alphas, whose bodies looked like beasts, the women didn’t give away much.

He bowed politely. "Hello, my name is Silas, and I am 18 years old. Nice to meet you all."

"You can show what you’ve got. I’m looking forward to seeing it,"

said the woman sitting at the corner of the table.

Hearing her, Silas took a deep breath. He stepped back—and suddenly dropped to the floor.

With one hand resting on the ground, he looked up dramatically.

Then, his expression shifted. His face grew gloomy, and tears welled up in his eyes.

"My lord... you can’t do this to me. They were my family... my life... and you killed them..."

Silas was sobbing—his whole body reacting to the emotion, making it look like he truly was drowning in sorrow.

"I don’t want to live with you... I HATE YOU! I hate you... sob..."

He covered his eyes with his hands as he cried. But then, in one swift motion, as if someone else had angrily pulled them away, he yanked his hands down.

Silas stood up, trembling.

"I despise you so much... that I’m ready to kill myself."

He opened his mouth and bit his own tongue, then collapsed to the ground with his eyes closed.

For a moment, it looked so real—he wasn’t even moving, as if he were truly dead.

Then, he slowly opened his eyes, wiped away his tears, and smiled as he stood up and bowed. That was the end of his act.

There was no visible reaction from the judges. They simply sent Silas out and called the next person in.

That’s how they had been handling it—no compliments, no feedback, just silently watching each performance and moving on.

Now that his audition was done, Silas felt relieved.

At least he didn’t have to sit there feeling anxious about his turn anymore.

Now, he just had to wait for the results.

As he returned and sat down, he noticed Shine looking more nervous than he was.

"How was your audition, Silas? Did they ask you to dance too? I overheard someone saying they were made to dance."

"No, they didn’t make me dance," Silas replied.

"They just watched my act and sent me out. Now all we have to do is wait."

Just then, another actor came out from the audition room. He was beautiful, with sleek black hair—fair, though not as much as Silas.

After stepping out, he glanced directly at Silas and then sat down right beside him with his manager.

"Xilen, was the audition difficult?" the manager asked.

"Nope," Xilen replied casually.

"But what’s the point of so many actors and actresses coming here to audition when the winner is already decided? Either way, they’re going to choose me for the main character."

From the way he spoke, it was clear—the role of the main character was already set to go to Xilen.

Today’s audition was just for show. They were pretending to hold open auditions to make it seem like there was no favoritism, but in reality, the decision had already been made.

Silas was confused for a moment. If that was true... then why did Jeren call him here to audition?

D was the one who made the call, yes—but he specifically said it was Jeren’s order to invite Silas.
