Mated to Four Alphas-Chapter 238: Shocking selection
Chapter 238: Shocking selection
Silas glanced at that omega who had just said that and found he was already looking at him.
"What are you looking at?" asked Omega.
"Nothing." Silas started looking at Shine again, because he knew that the omega named Xilen seemed like he liked to create problems and nothing more.
So it would be better for him to ignore him. But Xilen was in the mood to look down on Silas, and the fact that Silas didn’t even pay attention to him made him even angrier.
"How dare you ignore me, you filthy—who do you think you are? So far, you’ve only worked in one drama and already have this attitude?"
Shine and Silas were confused because they didn’t even know what they did wrong to Xilen.
They were just talking to themselves and not bothering anyone, yet Xilen was still messing with them.
Silas rested his hand on his knees to stand up, but before he could, Shine stood up.
"What’s your problem, man? Why are you trying to mess with Silas when he’s not even paying attention to you?"
Shine’s voice was even louder than Xilen’s, which caught everyone’s attention in a second.
Their eyes were already judging both of them, obviously to gossip later.
"Hey! How dare you look down on me?!" Xilen’s voice echoed there—indeed, even louder than Shine’s now.
They were just talking, but it seemed like they were fighting because of their voices.
And those who liked to watch fights had already gathered around to see.
"Who’s looking down on you, dude? It’s you. You’re looking down on yourself, no one else—because you just said that the winner has already been decided and the main character’s role would be given to you."
People’s eyes widened hearing this, and their hearts broken too, because they had come there with hope of getting a chance in that drama.
Xilen’s face became irritated now that everyone knew about this.
Xilen was an actor who worked at a small entertainment company, but ever since he got himself a sponsor, his life became easier.
He just needed to sleep with his sponsor—a middle-aged, fatty man—and that man would give him any role he wanted, even funding the drama so the crew members and director would treat him nicely.
Xilen knew what was coming. Even if he messed with someone, he had his sponsor backing him up, throwing money in people’s faces.
But the one thing that was eating at him from the inside was that Silas didn’t have any rumors about getting a sponsor—and yet, he had gotten the drama without doing the things Xilen had done.
Even when Shine was talking to him, his eyes were on Silas, who was sitting quietly and watching them both.
Silas didn’t want to make a big deal out of it, which is why he grabbed Shine’s hand and pulled him down onto the chair.
"Here, drink some water and calm yourself down. You really have a bad temper."
Shine gulped down the water. "It’s him who was trying to mess with you, so how can I just stay quiet and watch?"
While talking, Shine was staring at Xilen. And since everyone was there and the audition was over, Xilen sat down quietly and started looking at his phone.
Silas didn’t know what the results were, but he was sure they weren’t going to select him anyway—he assumed they had already decided to give the role to Xilen.
All the actors were sitting there, chatting and waiting for the results.
After about an hour, a staff member came and posted a list of roles on the wall, then left.
"Silas, you sit here. I’ll go check the results."
Shine knew that everyone would rush toward the list, but his height gave him an advantage.
He pushed through and quickly saw the name of the main character.
His face paled when he read it, and he glanced at Xilen, who was standing right in front of the list.
Everyone else started looking at Xilen too after reading it.
(MC: Silas)
(MC’s Friend: Xilen)
That’s what was written on the list. A smirk spread across Shine’s lips.
"Ohh, my—MC’s friend role is indeed suitable for him," he said out loud.
Shine turned toward Silas, who was standing there looking at him, expecting Shine to say he didn’t get any role.
Shine dashed toward Silas and hugged him tightly without saying anything.
"What happened? I didn’t get any role, right?"
"No, idiot! You got the MC role successfully—and that Xilen guy got the MC’s friend role! Isn’t it funny? He was talking so big an hour ago, and now he couldn’t even stand in front of your acting!"
It was completely unexpected for Silas. He never imagined he’d get the main character role—it felt like a miracle.
Silas’s eyes widened in disbelief. He broke the hug and quickly ran to the wall to see the list.
When he saw his name, his heart skipped a beat. Shine placed a hand on his shoulder.
Silas glanced at Shine. There was a smile on his face. He was happy he got the role.
He had completely given up on it after hearing the rumors that the results were already set and the role would go to Xilen.
But now that he got it, his happiness surged to a whole new level.
He quickly took out his phone and dialed Theron’s number.
But on the first ring, Theron didn’t answer—which was unusual. Whenever Silas called, Theron would usually pick up right away. Still, Silas figured he must be busy playing with Velric, so he called again.
This time, Theron answered on the second ring.
(Theron) "Hello, shorty."
(Silas) "Theron! You won’t believe what happened—I got the main character role! I didn’t even expect it!"
(Theron) "That’s great news. You really are a great actor. I already knew that wherever you go to audition, you’re going to land the role easily. I’m so proud of you, shorty."
Silas lit up hearing Theron’s compliment. It wasn’t like he didn’t believe in himself, but hearing it from Theron made him even happier.
