Chapter 29: An incredible omega

lysander’s POV

When I found out that Brother Damon had already cast an omega for this series, I was shocked. I knew he had taken so many auditions, yet he still hadn’t found anyone suitable for the role. I had been looking forward to meeting this omega because Brother had told me so much about him.

And when I finally learned that the omega had moved into the dorm, I hurriedly asked for his room number and went to meet him.

But the moment I saw him... he was beyond my imagination.

I had expected Brother to cast a muscular-looking omega, but in front of me stood a thin, fragile omega with hands so small that I couldn’t imagine how he’d manage the fight scenes in the drama. I knew he only had to act like he was fighting, but still... this role just didn’t seem to suit him.

But the moment he opened his mouth, my entire perception of him changed.

He spoke like a thug—fearless, unbothered. He didn’t blush or shrink away from an alpha’s presence. That was astounding.

"Keri talked a lot about your acting, but I can’t cast you unless I see it with my own eyes. So, mind if I take your audition again? I know Mr. Damon has already tested you, but still."

Yeah... it was me who told Director Wang to audition Silas again. Hehehe.

Silas quickly stood up and nodded in agreement.

"Good. So, Lysander, you and Silas will perform a romantic scene."

Yes! This was my super fantastic plan. I wanted to do a romantic scene with Silas now instead of waiting until episode 12 of the drama. And this wasn’t just any romance scene—this drama was on a whole different level.

"Silas, here, read this script. We’ll be acting out this scene." I handed him the script, pretending to read mine too, even though I already knew the whole scene by heart.

"Director Wang, can you give me 10 minutes to read the script?"

"Sure, why not?"

Silas looked serious as he read. When he finished, he glanced at me with his shining blue eyes. He looked nervous, but I was so excited to see how he would act.

I tapped his hand. "Are you ready, Silas?"

He quickly stepped away from the chair, and seeing that, I stood up as well.

"Director Wang, do we need to do the whole scene or just a few lines?"

"No, do the whole scene. I want to see everything."

Silas glanced at me after hearing that.

"Lysander, you remember your lines, right? You know what to do?"

I nodded. Since my character was the one being taken by Silas in this scene, I just had to stand there.

Suddenly, the entire room fell silent. Everyone’s attention was on us.

I wondered if Silas was nervous. After all, this was his first drama, and we were about to act out a romantic scene in front of so many people. But he had to do well—if he performed convincingly here, no one would have any reason to spread rumors about him.

"Action!" Director Wang ordered.

Silas took a deep breath and walked toward me.

"Why weren’t you answering my calls?"

Suddenly, he grabbed me by my collar, forcing me to bend down.

"I was with my friends. That’s why I didn’t hear your calls," I said, letting out a slight hum.

He let go of my collar, pushed me back toward the table, and made me sit on it. And to be honest... it wasn’t just for show. He really had the strength to push me down like that.

"I don’t want to hear your excuses... I’ll have to punish you now."

He leaned closer to my neck, sniffing me while rubbing his cheek against mine.

"Darling, who were you with? ...Why do I smell rose pheromones on you?"

He suddenly pulled away and glared at me.

Wait. That line wasn’t in this part of the script.

I gazed at Silas in shock. "What are you talking about? I don’t understand."

He calmly stepped back. "You l don’t understand... That’s funny."

His eyes burned with betrayal, and his facial expressions were so real—so convincing—that I nearly forgot we were acting.

And then I remembered this scene.

In the drama, his character suspected his boyfriend of cheating. But this wasn’t in the audition script... how did he transition so seamlessly into this part?

"While I was loving you like a fool, you were fooling around with another bítch."

"YOU BASTARD!"

His sudden outburst startled me. The look in his eyes, the rage in his voice—it was as if I had really betrayed him.

And then—

Clap. Clap. Clap.

Director Wang started clapping while standing, and soon, everyone else followed.

I stepped down from the table and stood beside Silas. His acting had been so natural, so captivating—for a moment, I genuinely believed it was all real.

"Well done, Silas. Your acting is mesmerizing," Director Wang praised. "The way you shifted from romance to confrontation was so natural."

He nodded in approval. "I think I understand why Mr. Damon cast you."

Everything Director Wang said was 100% right. Silas wasn’t just good at acting—he was born to be an actor.

The director continued praising him, and soon, the other actors did too. The happiness of being recognized was clearly visible on Silas’s face.

"Silas, if you give your 100% in acting, I promise I will make your career."

Woah. Director Wang doesn’t say this to just anyone... He only says this to actors in whom he sees true potential. And those he’s said this to before? They’re all huge celebrities now.

I’m sure—one day, Silas is going to become just as popular.

"You both can sit down now. We’ll discuss the further details, but..."

Director Wang’s gaze suddenly shifted to an empty chair.

The name written on it—Ciel (Villain).

"Where is that guy whose name is written on the chair?"

Well, none of us knew him. This was the first time I was even hearing that name.

I guess he’s a newbie too.
