Chapter 395: Hidden Past (3)

IT WAS a private moment between Yumi and Kyro.

[My evil in-laws.]

Tilly knew that, but it wasn’t like she could simply look away.

Even Kiho looked awkward.

After all, the two of them had no choice but to watch that intimate moment.

"I’m sorry for making you wait, my dear."

Yumi smiled and shook her head. "Please don’t apologize, my lord. I can wait for you no matter how long it takes." She put her hands on her baby bump. "Because I know that you’ll always come back to us."

Kyro’s smile suddenly turned sad. "I’m afraid I have to make you wait again."

"Are you dispatched to another war again, my lord?"

"The Devil’s seal has cracked," Kyro said, sighing. "I was chosen by the other gods to seal it this time, so I’ll probably return after you give birth to our daughter. I’m sorry, Yumi. I really wanted to be there for you during your delivery..."

"Please don’t apologize, my lord. I’m proud of you for keeping the world and the human race safe," Yumi said, smiling. Then she hugged Kyro. "Just please return to us safely."

Tilly massaged her temples, stressing out because she didn’t hear it wrong. "Honey, did your father just say that Yumi is pregnant with a baby girl?"

"That was what I heard, too, honey."

"Do you have a sister?"

"Not that I know of..."

Right?

[As far as I know, Kiho has always been an only son.]

Tilly let out a sigh. "I really have a bad feeling about this."

"Me, too," Kiho said, nodding. "I also heard Kyro mention the Devil’s seal."

"Right? The Devil is an enemy that even the gods are afraid of," she agreed with her husband. "But they sent the Moon God alone as if the others had chosen the Moon God as the sacrifice."

Her husband nodded in agreement. "We can also tell that, at this point, Kyro hasn’t merged with the Devil yet."

[Yep, that confirms it– we’re about to witness a tragedy.]

"Will you be staying at the Chandra Village?" Kyro asked. "Then I assume you’ll stay in my temple until I return."

Oho?

So, the Moon God had a temple in a place called the ’Chandra Village.’

[That’s the first time I’ve heard of that village.]

"High Priest Theo will be there to lead the prayer for your safe return," Yumi said. "The entire village will await your return, my lord."

Hmm?

Tilly turned to Kiho. "Kyro is a major god since he’s the Moon God. But I haven’t heard of the Chandra Village before. According to my memories, Kyro grew his followers when Auro Moonchester built the empire with the Moon God as its center."

Kiho scratched his cheek as if he was embarrassed. "I’m sorry, honey. I don’t really understand what’s going on here. I feel dumb."

"Oh, don’t be," she said, gently patting her husband’s cheek. "I’m sorry for asking so many questions when I know that both of us weren’t born yet when all of this happened."

"No, no. You have the right to ask me. And I should have dug deeper in my parents’ history." ƒгeeweɓn૦vel.com

"You don’t have to do that since you never really gotten along well with them."

Kiho turned to Tilly with a warm smile. "Thank you for always making me feel better, honey."

Tilly was just about to say something, but the sudden change in the scenery stopped her.

[So abrupt!]

"THIS IS SO annoying," Tilly complained when she suddenly found herself in the middle of a residential area with old houses around. As usual, it looked like no one could see her either. The children playing around her were passing through her as if she was a ghost. "Honey, I wonder how long we’re supposed to endure this..."

She trailed off when she turned around and realized that she was alone.

Well, not technically.

[Kiho isn’t here!]

"Honey?" Tilly called her husband out loud while looking around. "Where are you, Kiho?"

No matter how loud she called for her husband, no one responded to her.

Clearly, Kiho wasn’t there.

Tsk.

Tilly clicked her tongue, annoyed. "How dare you separate me from my dear husband?"

"Miss Yumi, you shouldn’t be going around in your condition."

[Yumi?]

Tilly turned around again.

This time, she saw a man wearing a priest’s robe.

Long brown hair tied in a low ponytail, a monocle.

Those were the first two things that Tilly noticed in the priest talking to Yumi.

And Yuni, on the other hand...

Tilly gasped while looking at Yumi’s very obvious baby bump. "Already...?"

"I’m alright, Your Eminence," Yumi said to the priest, smiling and rubbing her baby bump gently. "I still have a month to go before I give birth to my little princess."

Oh.

[She’s already eight months pregnant.]

"I can’t wait," the priest said, smiling while looking at Yumi’s baby bump. "I can’t wait to meet our little demigod either, Miss Yumi."

Hmm?

Tilly felt the chills while looking at the sketchy priest. "That man is definitely bad news."

KIHO clicked his tongue when he realized that he had been separated from his wife. "How dare you separate me from Tilly?"

He didn’t know who brought them there, but he already hated them.

However, he didn’t have time to worry about that.

After all, his father was standing in front of him.

To be precise, Kiho was watching his father punch a mountain with his bare hand.

[What is he doing...]

He trailed off because of what happened next.

A punch.

All it took for the giant mountain was a punch from Kyro.

[Damn... that raw power...]

Kiho was even more surprised after the mountain crumbled.

[Is that a gate?]

A black hole was suspended in the air, swirling around in black flames.

That gave him the chills.

"It’s the gate," Kiho whispered to himself. "The Hellgate..."
