Mommy Villainess-Chapter 396: Hidden Past (4)
Chapter 396: Hidden Past (4)
A TIME JUMP.
That was the only explanation that Tilly could come up with after finding out that Yumi was already eight months pregnant.
[She was barely pregnant the first time I met here in this space.]
It seemed like the past being shown to her was only the important bits.
[And here I am now.]
Tilly was starting to get bored while watching Yuni pray to the Moon God’s altar in the middle of the almost empty room.
Yumi was alone inside.
But Tilly could tell that there were people surrounding the prayer room.
[Let’s see what those people are up to.]
Since Yumi was only praying there, Tilly got up and decided to check what was happening outside the room.
[Ah, there he is.]
Long brown hair tied in a low ponytail, a monocle.
That was the priest that Yumi called ’Your Eminence’ earlier.
And the priest was leading a prayer group outside Yumi’s prayer room.
[Are they also followers of the Moon God?]
The people there looked like ordinary villagers.
They were all kneeling and clasping their hands together, praying solemnly with their eyes closed.
Only the priest was standing.
"Let us all continue praying for the birth of our new god."
What?
Tilly knitted her eyebrows after hearing what the priest had said.
[Their new god?]
So, these people weren’t the Moon God’s followers?
[I knew something was wrong here!]
"Miss Yumi is our savior," the suspicious-looking priest said, smiling like an angel even though his aura was dark. "I, Crades, will make sure that our new god will be born healthy."
Huh?
[Did he just call himself ’Crades?’ Is that his name?
’Crades’ sounded hella familiar...
[Wait.]
Tilly gasped when the realization had finally hit her. "Crades, as in the man-eating monsters?"
[Is it just a coincidence or...?]

KIHO watched his father punch a mountain with his bare hand, feeling strange.
[What is he doing...]
He trailed off because of what happened next.
A punch.
All it took for the giant mountain was a punch from Kyro.
[Damn... that raw power...]
Kiho was even more surprised after the mountain crumbled.
[Is that a gate?]
A black hole was suspended in the air, swirling around in black flames.
That gave him the chills.
"It’s the gate," Kiho whispered to himself. "The Hellgate..."
"You finally found the Hellgate, Kyro."
Hmm?
Kiho turned to the newcomer.
A good-looking man with golden hair and red eyes wearing a white and gold robe approached Kyro, patting the Moon God on his shoulder.
The fact that Kyro didn’t complain must mean that the man was a friend.
Or, at the very least, a colleague.
[But I feel like I know that man...]
"What is the Sun God doing here?"
Kiho’s eyes widened in surprise.
[That’s the Sun God’s human appearance?]
"I’m just here to send off a good friend," the Sun God said, laughing softly at Kyro’s reaction. And then he removed his hand from the Moon God’s shoulder. "I’m sorry, Kyro."
"For what?"
"For sending you alone in this mission when your human wife is pregnant."
’Human wife.’
That confused Kiho.
[My mother, Yumi, is the White Snake. She’s a minor god, but still a god. So, why did the Sun God say that Yumi is human?]
"It was the Sky God who wanted me to do this mission alone, so why are you apologizing instead?"
"Kyro, the Sky God has a reason for sending you alone," the Sun God said. "You’re the only major god who could enter the Demon World without getting noticed. I would come with you if I could, but the natural light that I have is–"
"You don’t have to explain," Kyro said, cutting off the Sun God. "I know."
The Sun God fell silent for a moment, and then he nodded. "I’ll be waiting for you here, Kyro. If the mission gets tough, then give me a signal. I’ll pull you out right away."
"If you have time to spare, then I implore you to protect my pregnant wife instead," Kyro said, turning his back on the Sun God as he headed towards the Hellgate. "I’ll finish my mission as soon as I can since I don’t want my daughter to grow up without seeing her father’s face."
The Sun God didn’t say anything.
And it looked like the Moon God wasn’t expecting a response anyway.
However, Kiho saw it– he saw the Sun God mouth something.
["I’m sorry."]
But for what?
***
"CONGRATULATIONS, Miss Yumi– you gave birth to a healthy young lady."
Aww.
Tilly still hated Yumi, but she couldn’t help but swoon for the newly born baby girl.
[It’s Kiho’s older sister whom we never knew about.]
For some reason, Tilly suddenly had a baby fever.
She already had two sons, but she didn’t have a daughter yet.
[I want a daughter.]
Tilly had already made up her mind.
[I’ll ask Kiho to make a baby girl with me as soon as this ordeal is over.]
"Thank you, Father Crades..." Yumi, who had just given birth to her daughter, said weakly while closing her eyes. "Please take care of my daughter..."
And then Yumi fell asleep.
The ladies who had assisted her in giving birth immediately attended to her.
But then...
[Huh?]
Tilly wondered why Father Crades brought the still crying baby girl outside.
[Where is he bringing the baby?]
And her question was answered right away after the "scene" changed.
***
"NOW LET me have a taste of a demigod."
What?
The scene that greeted Tilly was horrific– Father Crades, that so-called priest, cut off the baby girl’s finger with a sharp knife.
Naturally, the baby girl cried out loud.
"No!" Tilly yelled at the top of her lungs. "What the hell are you doing?!"
She tried to burn the bastard to ashes, but her flame didn’t appear.
And when she tried to run towards Father Crades, her body was suddenly paralyzed.
All Tilly could do was watch that damned priest eat the baby’s severed finger.
"I said stop it, you crazy bastard!"
