Hearing Yu Xiangyu’s questions, Chi Limin replied, "According to the information I found so far, Miss Bai is supposed to be the new chairman, but there hasn’t been any official announcement from the Bai Group yet."

Hearing this, Yu Xiangyu tapped the table again with his index finger. While the soft tapping echoed through the small VIP space, his eyes remained fixed on Bai Hanyun.

A few moments later, he said, "Keep an eye on the Bai Group. Let me know immediately if there is any movement from Bai Yansheng."

After he said that, Chi Limin opened and closed his lips, hesitating to speak.

Noticing this, Yu Xiangyu glanced at him and said, "If you have something to say, just say it."

Chi Limin nodded, then replied, "CEO Yu, our men found out that Bai Yansheng has placed a bounty on Miss Bai’s life, and the one who accepted it is the Bu Gui Pavilion."

When Yu Xiangyu heard this, his eyes flickered with surprise. ’What is Miss Bai’s background? Why is even Bu Gui Pavilion interested in her?’

Hearing this, the staff member smiled and bowed politely. "We look forward to your next visit, Miss Bai. Please take care on your way."

Bai Hanyun nodded, then quickly chased after Bai Li. Stepping outside, she saw Bai Li standing as if waiting for someone. Moments later, the dangerous man walked into the main hall of the auction house.

Feeling his oppressive aura, Bai Hanyun shuddered and whispered to Hua Yuyu, "Quick, hide!"

Just as the two of them ducked out of sight, Gui Xiaoxu left the building with his men. Before he could enter his car, Bai Li rushed toward him.

"CEO Gui, please wait a moment!" She shouted while waving her hand to get Gui Xiaoxu’s attention.

Glancing sideways, Gui Xiaoxu saw Bai Li smiling at him while panting. Ignoring her, he got into his car and ordered, "Don’t let her appear in front of me again."

"Yes, Boss."

After he got into the backseat, his right-hand man closed the car door and got into the passenger seat, while two men stayed behind to block Bai Li.

As the car pulled away, Bai Li grew anxious. She glared at the two men in black who were blocking her path and shouted, "Get out of my way!"

The two men exchanged glances, then grabbed her arms and dragged her away.

Seeing their expressionless faces, Bai Li felt scared. She looked around and screamed, "Let me go! Help! Someone save me!"

Amid her loud screams, no one dared to come forward to help her.

Watching from her hiding spot, Bai Hanyun rubbed her chin and said with a curious tone, "Turns out, that dangerous man is the one Bai Li wants to approach. I wonder what she wants from such a dangerous man."

Listening to what she said, Hua Yuyu pondered for a few seconds and then asked, "Miss Bai, do you want me to investigate this matter?"

Bai Hanyun’s eyes lit up at his words. Turning to him, she asked, "Brother Hua, can you really do that?"

Hua Yuyu nodded and explained, "I have friends from military academies who now work in several national organizations. I can ask one of them who works in the investigation division to look into it."

Bai Hanyun nodded eagerly when she heard this and said, "Then I will trouble you, Brother Hua. Thank you."

Seeing her excitement, Hua Yuyu replied calmly, "Alright."

After a moment, he said, "Tell Feng Wu to bring the bronze mirror to the river outside the west gate."

"Yes, Master." Accepting the order, the shadow guard disappeared to relay the message.

After he left, Feng Xiyan called out, "Someone, come."

Soon, a soldier entered and clasped his fists. "Great General, what are your orders?"
