Reborn: The Tyrant's Obsession-Chapter 102: Sir, I am no sleeping pill
Chapter 102: Sir, I am no sleeping pill
And then the mattress beside Ella sunk.
Ella’s eyes snapped open, ’’Who—"
Suddenly, a finger was pressed against her lips, ’’It’s me.’’
The fog in her mind cleared up a little as she looked at him.
The man sat beside her on the bed. He had changed out of his formal outfit and was now wearing a black T-shirt paired with grey sweatpants.
Ella’s eyes roamed over his body just for a moment before she looked up to meet his cloudy gaze.
’’I can’t sleep,’’ Adrian dropped those words with a straight face.
Ella blinked, ’’Uh... Baby...’’
’’Help me sleep.’’
Eh... Excuse me? Sir, I am no sleeping pill... Ella forced a smile on her face, ’’Help you sleep...?"
Adrian paused for a beat and looked at her with utmost seriousness as he whispered, ’’Or we can do something else too?"
Ella’s throat ran dry. Part intrigued and part confused, she repeated his last words, ’’Something else?"
’’Mm.’’
Adrian’s finger that was resting over her lips moved by an inch and his gaze turned slightly heated. From where he sat, he looked seductive. Too seductive.
Ella’s body felt unusually soft as his fingers moved to his neck. Suddenly the man’s fingers sunk into her hair at the back of her neck as he leaned towards her.
’’Wait... Grandma might...mmph!" Her lips were captured before she could finish speaking.
Ella gasped against his lips. Adrian sucked on her bottom lips, and pulled back slightly, letting their lips part.
The loss of touch made Ella look at him, a sheen covering her eyes.
Adrian’s throat moved, his Adam’s Apple bobbing slightly. And his eyes darkened.
He leaned close and she held her breath in anticipation. But in the next moment, the man slumped next to her on the bed.
And her head was pulled against his chest.
Ella opened her eyes, but darkness greeted her eyes. Only the scent of cigar lingered around her nose and his cool touch pervaded her senses.
Ella’s heartbeat thundered in her ears as she clutched duvet.
She tried to shift a little but the man held her snugly in his arms.
’’Be good.’’ he murmured, and Ella bit her lip, feeling anything but.

The next day, in an alley near the Imperial University, a different kind of danger was brewing.
A young man was surrounded by a group of guys who held hockey sticks in their hands.
The young man’s head was lowered and his slightly long hair covered his face, as a trail of blood dripped from the corner of his lips.
"Tsk... Tsk... Young Master Mo, you should count yourself unlucky for taking this path today!" One of the guy stepped forward, ’’But at the end of the day, you shouldn’t blame us. You have caused quite some trouble for us brothers when your gang was in power. But now, it has fallen. So, just blame your rotten luck!"
The hockey stick was swung and the young man staggered a few steps by the impact.
His head lifted slightly and a manic glint flicked across his light eyes. He lifted his hand and moved it to his waist. As the hem of his shirt swayed in the wind, a dark metal came into everyone’s view, followed by the sight of a shotgun.
"You, You are the mad! You wouldn’t dare!" The guy in lead looked at the young man in complete disbelief.
The young man smirked and grabbed the handle of the gun slightly.
But at this moment, a small ball rolled on the empty road followed by some more.
’Clack’ ’Clack’ ’Clack’
Everyone watched as the small black metallic type ball rolled towards them.
The young man retreated back on instinct.
After a while, nothing happened as those balls rolled away in opposite directions.
All the people that had been holding their breathe let out a sigh.
However, at this moment, another ball rolled towards them.
’’What crap is this?!" One man lost his patience and tried to kick it away but—
’Boom’
Suddenly, the small ball blasted up and the area was covered in a thick smoke.
The guys who were trapped in it started groaning and dropping one by one.
The young man witnessed the scene in astonishment. At this moment, he felt a soft tap on his back accompanied by a slightly urgent yet unhurried voice.
’’This smoke softens their muscles temporarily. Quickly, run!"
As Ella spoke, she had turned around and started running already.
Only after she went to a little distance did she realize that the young man was still standing rooted to his initial spot.
She nearly tripped in disbelief, ’’Hey, are you waiting for them to recover and get back at you?"
The think that she went out of her way to help this person. And due to her missed aim, she even wasted away a couple of those smoke balls!
Just as Ella’s words had faded, the guy finally moved.
Ella sighed in relief, turned around and continued running till she reached the other alley.
Hearing the sound of approaching footsteps, she slowly waved her hand, ’’You don’t need to thank me.’’
"Why did you save me?"
"Oh, there are two reasons actually. First, I wanted to test those smoke balls and second, I am inherently a kind person...’’ Ella turned around as she spoke but her words came to an abrupt halt when she saw the person.
The young man no longer had half of his face covered by his long hair. His light colored eyes, youthful face and unruly aura greeted Ella.
Blood roared in Ella’s ears.
And suddenly, Ella felt throttled.
Mo Jun.
Seeing her calm demeanour switch and her eyes turning cold, the young man frowned, ’’You look familiar for some reason. Have we met before?" He stepped forward towards her.
Ella narrowed her eyes.
"Had you not been talking just now, I would have surmised that you are mute. Cat got your tongue, fatty?"
’Pak’
The young’s face whipped to the side as Ella gave him a tight slap. Another trail of blood dripped down the dried bloodstains, making it appear bright.
His head snapped up but at this moment, another little metal ball came to his view.
The girl had already retreated from the scene right after slapping. He instinctively wanted to chase her but the ball suddenly blasted and smoke surrounded him.
It was too late for him to retreat this time and he slumped to his knees, feeling his muscles gradually weakening.
In the haze of the smoke, Mo Jun watched as the girl walked away.
Blood dripping from his lip, Mo Jun yanked out his phone, ’’The third back alley... Quick!’’
