Chapter 141: Did he see everything?

"Fuck fuck fuck!" A man sat in front of the computer, watching as the screen glitched.

Esther was lying naked on a small bed. As she sat up, the blanket slipped from her body, "What happened?"

The man yanked off his glasses, "You said that this account has been inactive for a while now! There is somebody actually defending—"

"Impossible!" Esther wrapped the blanket around herself and walked over to the man, "Why don’t you try again?"

The man sweated, "No, if it’s a top level hacker on the other side, then I would ruin all my data, everything I have built so far!"

Esther removed the blanket from her body, stripped off the last shed of clothing on her and sat on his lap.

The man stiffened.

Wiggling her ass on his lap, she leaned in towards him, "In her current state, it’s impossible for Ella to hire a top hacker. That must be some fluke."

The man gulped, "I..."

’’Once you get me this account of hers and rebrand it for me, we can have some fun tonight..." She grabbed his hand and led it to her waist, slowly sliding it down.

The man closed his eyes as her scent enveloped him.

"Yes... or no?" She slowly stood up from his lap.

"Alright..."

In five minutes, the man exhaled, "Finally, I got the link."

Esther’s eyes lit up, "Does it mean I can have that account now?" More than a million followers... For this role, she did not have to build from scratch. Although it would be a little tough to manipulate Ella, it was still within her control.

As for the public opinion, Ella has been inactive for a while. If she rebranded the entire account, nobody would have to know where she started from. In no time, she could turn Ella’s one-time fans into her own fans.

With such a big following, this role would be hers... No matter if there was a better actress or a prettier actress, this role would belong to her...

Esther’s face glowed and her heart raced.

"Fuck! Shit! This motherfucker...!"

Esther’s thoughts came to an abrupt halt when the man sitting on the swivel chair let out a series of curses.

"What...?" Her gaze turned to the screen and her face blackened.

On the dark screen, a few words blinked in green.

’Want to take me down? Try again, loser!’

’’You said Ella could not afford a hacker... This person... I don’t know if he is an expert or not. My system has not been invaded but this person is sharp. They fed me a decoy, led me to a dead-end and severed the access line. Like luring a mouse into a cage. Even if it’s not an expert, this... this person cannot be underestimated. They..."

’Pak’

The sound of a crisp slap resounded in the empty apartment.

Esther’s chest heaved, ’’Incompetent fool! You failed to order your people properly during that kidnapping incident and now you failed at this too!"

The man stood up, a side of his face burning red, "Because of your request, I went behind the Boss to make orders even though I was not in the city at that time. The entire gang was destroyed..."

"Excuses, all excuses!’’ After dressing up, Esther walked off to the door on shaky steps, "As usual, Mo Jun should not catch a whiff of this..."

After she left, the man slumped on the swivel chair. If the Boss came to know about his affair with his fiancee...

Esther stepped out of the dingy apartment, lips curling down. Her messy hair framed her face.

Kidnapping failed. Hacking the account failed. She had an expert by her side? Ha...

Ella, Ella, I am letting you breathe. Is that not enough? Must you go against me at every point? Do you think I dare not rip everything from you?

Esther pulled out her phone and dialled a number, "If you wait any longer, you won’t know what killed you!"

...

Ella sat back against the headboard, her eyes focused on the blank screen.

She never thought that the petty tricks she had learnt back then would come in handy in such a situation.

She had picked these tricks to go against Adrian but now she was using them to fight against Esther. It was ironic.

Ella had a feeling that if Esther wanted her account, she would not back out after a simple refusal from her. In her wariness, she had created this failsafe that bypassed her usual logins to her celebrity account yesterday when she decided to use it.

But Ella had not expected to act so fast. Knowing that she got a hacker for this job was more surprising for her.

Esther was a year younger than her and despite their parents’ money and support, she lacked resources and connections in the outside world at this point. Who could be working for her?

Lost in her thoughts, Ella did not realize the presence of another person in the room until she heard the sound of a soft ’click’.

Adrian released the doorknob.

Ella froze when she saw Adrian leaning against the doorframe. When did he come here?

How much did he see?

Dang!

Ella cursed herself almost immediately.

She should have kept that in mind. Just like the King Empires’ network, Adrian must have control over the networks of all his other estates, including the main mansion.

Anything related to the Kings would have top-grade cybersecurity encasing it. Then, Adrian must have been alerted to unauthorized access as the other person tried to breach her device that was connected to the mansion’s network.

Ella sat straight when he approached the bed.

"B—Baby, when did you come here?"

"A while ago."

"Did you..."

Adrian’s gaze roamed over to her laptop, her phone and then he glanced at her face.

Ella held her breath. She did not need to finish her question to know that he saw it all. But the calmer he was, the more her heart thudded.

"Do you need help?" Adrian asked suddenly.

Ella was stunned.

Was he not going to question where she picked these skills from?
