"It’s not that I was ignoring you... But I just had a question."

"Ask me,’’ Adrian sat on the couch and pulled her onto his lap.

As she sat on him, he held her in his arms.

Ella was kissed until her brain had turned jelly. Only after he released her did her mind function a little properly.

’’Do you have kids somewhere?"

Ella looked at him with squinted eyes, "Earlier, when grandma mentioned that you brought your children up, it occurred to me, were you really talking about our children or your children with someone else?"

"I have known you for a while now and I trust you but they say men are pigs. Could they really be trusted?"

Adrian’s eyes narrowed as he looked at her dangerously.

Ella coughed twice and spoke self-righteously, "Of course I know that you are not a pig. That is why I am still sitting here talking to you. If you were a pig then I would ignore you."

Fine, fine, she couldn’t help it. She knew Adrian for two lifetimes and for a fact, she knew that he had no other woman in his life. Not to mention his unhealthy obsession with her, Ella was aware that she was a handful in her previous life.

Either she was trying to kill him or destroy him. With all the burden of the King Family and then dealing with her, he couldn’t have managed to get a mistress if he even wanted to.

But, there was one thing that occurred to her downstairs earlier.

"You know everything about me but I don’t know anything about your past."

Adrian cupped her face and tilted it slightly so she was looking straight into his eyes, "There was no one."

The solemn declaration and sincerity in his eyes froze her momentarily.

After a moment of silence, she laughed awkwardly, ’’If you do have children with someone else, you have to be honest with me. I am willing to be a stepmom but I am unwilling to be deceived."

"I don’t and won’t have children with any other woman."

Ella nodded. Fine, fine, that’s good. Their relationship was far from simple but she did not want to be deceived or kept in the dark by anyone again.

She had just relaxed when it suddenly hit her. Wait! What did he mean by ’don’t and won’t have children with any other woman’?!

Didn’t that mean he was thinking of having them with her?

Ella jumped off his lap and flinched to a little distance, crossing her arms in front of his chest, "I am still young. I don’t want to have children now..."

Adrian stood up from the couch and approached her.

Ella’s brows wiggled, "At least, not in broad daylight!"

Adrian stepped closer to her.

"At least, lock the door properly!!"

The man’s palm landed on her hair as he stroked it gently. His dark eyes twinkled, "Don’t be in a rush."

Even after he left the room, Ella hadn’t recovered her senses.

Later that noon, Ella tried to take a nap but she failed to fall asleep after being teased by Adrian.

Slightly miffed, she decided to go to her account to check the post she had made in the morning.

This grizzly bear guy was weirdly persistent eh..! With her nerves bristling, Ella sat up to type a reply to him.

But at this moment, her phone glitched!

Ella tapped on it a few times but the screen turned black.

When she tried to power it off, her screen flickered and a message box blinked—

’You have been logged out of your account.’

Ella tapped on it. Access denied.

Within seconds, a cold realization struck her: Somebody was hacking her account.

And Ella did not have to be a genius to know who it was.

Ella grabbed her backpack and yanked out her laptop.

As it booted up, Ella opened a browser. In less than a minute, she bypassed her usual logins and went straight to the backend security panel she had secretly created yesterday, as a failsafe.

The movements of her fingers intensified with every minute as she watched the lines load.

Ella might not be a hacker. But she had learned all possible skills to escape Adrian, including hacking. Back then, she had spent months trying to go through virtual books, forums, and testing various codes to succeed in it.

She had tried to get control of King Empires’ information both virtually and physically to threaten Adrian using them. She never succeeded in doing so though, because of her lack of expertise.

But just because she could not take Adrian King down did not mean she was going to be taken down by these small fries.

Suddenly the skin glitched. Someone was trying to deny her access again. A request to change her recovery source popped up consecutively.

Ella blocked it in a swift movement. She froze the session. Forced all logouts. Then set a decoy link.

’You want to steal my things? Dream on!’

Somewhere in the other end of the city, inside a small apartment, a person cursed.
