Forget it... Second Master would probably not pay it much thought.

After flipping through the papers thoroughly, he put them in a discreet file and put them aside before looking in the direction of the university.

For this bit of relief, Ji Yan had no trouble sitting in the car for hours. If his second master was happy and getting hours of sleep, he was totally in for it.

As long as they stayed away and cultivated more feelings rather than staying together and clashing heads all the time, all would be fine.

Thinking of that, Ji Yan lowered his body on the seat. Since the second master is sleeping inside, I can just catch up on my beauty sleep.

When he comes back, I will still have to present him with these documents. Who knows what his reaction would be?

At this moment, he heard the sound of soft footsteps.

The two people walked towards the car.

Ji Yan’s body moved on reflex and he immediately opened the car door for Adrian.

Adrian gave him a single glance.

Was the second master angry? Why did his eyes turn dark?

Completely clueless to the tension in her surroundings, Ella didn’t dawdle about and she straight away entered the car, holding little Riri in her arms.

Ji Yan’s jaw dropped. Was the second master displeased because I opened the door for him and not for Miss Yu, ah?

As Adrian walked to the other side of the car,Ji Yan quickly ran to the other side and opened the door. And then, the man entered the car without hesitation.

Ji Yan took out his flower embroidered handkerchief... and dabbed his cold sweat. This is totally beyond my pay grade. I need hazard pay.

Inside the car, Ella was also a bit shocked herself.

But for entirely different reasons.

Initially, she had thought Adrian would take some secret route to step out of the girls dormitory.

Never in her wildest dreams did she imagine that he would blatantly walk in front of all the wardens and staff members.

And more so shocking was that they acted like they did not even see him.

Like blind people, they looked anywhere but Adrian King.

And once again, she was struck with the realization that the depth of the power that this man held was completely unfathomable.

No wonder. No wonder I was unable to run away from him.

Suddenly, Adrian’s gaze turned to her.

Ella straightened up in her seat. Eh, did he see through her internal thoughts? Why was he glaring?

Adrian’s gaze lingered on Ella’s harmless looking face for a while before he slowly looked down to her lap where a small creature was lying comfortably while Ella’s hand constantly roamed through the puppy’s hair.

Ji Yan had just entered the car when he abruptly got frostbitten by the freezing temperature.

Under Ella’s confused gaze, Adrian stretched his hand out.

’’Hmm...?" Ella bit her bottom lips. This man... has always been this romantic? He even wanted to hold her hand in the car?

Blushing and dawdling, Ella continued stroking Riri with one hand while she placed her left hand in Adrian’s right hand.

Adrian froze.

Ella was bewildered again. He wasn’t asking for her hand?

Suddenly, a big beautiful white basket extended in front of Ella.

’’Miss Yu, this.. you can put Riri here.’’

Ella realized that the basket was almost like an intricate dog house with separate sections for toys and snacks.

Adrian got this prepared for Riri?

She looked down at the little puppy on her lap and suddenly felt unworthy of holding him. Ella felt like a complete beggar in front of this little daddy-sponsored millionaire.

No wonder... No wonder this little fella would betray her and cling to Adrian.

Ella snuck a peek at Adrian but the man seemed to be lost in his thoughts. He was only physically present, his mind was elsewhere.

So, earlier... He was trying to move Riri, not asking for her hand.

"Miss Yu...?" Ji Yan let out a weak smile. Why were they both zoning out? Was he just a wallflower to them?

’’Sure...’’ Ella tried to pull away her hand from Adrian’s, realizing that she completely misunderstood his intentions.

But the moment Ella moved, Adrian’s fingers wrapped around hers.

The man shot Ji Yan a scathing glare.

Ji Yan’s legs turned jelly... out of fear and nervousness, of course.

Adrian stretched out his left hand, glanced at the docile looking puppy and picked it from Ella’s lap.

’’Be gentle...’’ Ella almost screamed but then she realized that although Adrian’s move looked rough but he handled Riri rather gently.

The little puppy was easily wrapped in his long fingers.

Ji Yan pressed some switches and the basket opened up even wider.

Adrian dropped the puppy on a plushie cushion.

And just like that, Riri became the passenger princess.

While Ella was marvelling at the ways of the rich, Adrian moved again.

He shifted his hand to his lap and her hand that was being held by him jerked to his lap.

Ella almost bent sideways by the abrupt movement. She groaned inwardly.

Adrian glanced at her.

Ella gave him the sweetest smile she could muster, ’’Oops! Caught in 4K being obsessed with you~ I am embarrassed.’’

In saying so, Ella had unabashedly scooted towards Adrian.
