Chapter 60: She remembered his likes and dislikes... freewebnσvel.cѳm

Since Ella considered herself the culprit of this incident, she bit the bullet and went for it.

A glass of water was pressed near Adrian’s lips.

’’Quick quick... Have some water first!"

Adrian paused, feeling the soft grip of the girl’s hand on his own.

After a while he parted his lips and took a few sips of the water.

Ella put the glass on the table.

She just wanted to get a reaction out of him. And this food was not even super spicy. It was not even considered spicy in her scale.

But she didn’t realize it would affect Adrian so much, making him unable to talk.

’’Your face is still red. Why did you eat it if you were allergic to it?" Ella’s head throbbed.

But in the face of her endless questioning, Adrian sat there motionless and quiet.

In her eyes, Adrian was seated there like a pampered princess who has been bullied.

Adrian glanced at the soft hand clutching him in complete silence.

When he heard her question, he looked up at her.

But suddenly, he felt a palm on his back.

The warmth of her palm seeped into his skin as she rubbed his back gently.

Elle, are you still pretending?

If you are, you better never stop.

Adrian’s silence was however mistaken by Ella.

It seems like the spice really shot up in his head.

Has he turned dumb completely?

The pampered princess of the King family was harmed by her gluttony.

Just how long is it going to take them to come after her head?

Seeing Adrian sitting there motionless, Ella almost had the urge to get up and run away.

But then she gritted her teeth.

No matter what, Adrian brought her here to eat. She would be such a snake if she ran away after eating his rice.

’’Secretary Ji is outside. Let’s go to the hospital first...’’

Ella let go of Adrian’s hand and moved to stand when the man captured her wrist.

’’I am fine.’’

Seeing him speaking and looking at her normally, Ella’s suspended heart slowly came back to its position.

’’Really?" She slowly sat behind him, ’’Wait, you can have the dessert... It will make you feel better.’’

She did not even wait for his response before grabbing up an exquisite looking pastry.

When she held it in front of him as if she was going to feed him, Adrian did not bat an eyelid before he opened his mouth.

The cream had barely grazed his lips when the pastry was suddenly gone.

’’Oh my god, I didn’t even notice they put strawberry in this...’’ Ella mumbled in frustration before she picked up another pastry, ’’I know you don’t like sweet food but just have this one. It will make you feel better.’’

She did not notice the brief look of astonishment that passed Adrian’s eyes.

Last time, she was clueless to his allergies.

Now in a matter of a few weeks, she knew about his allergies, likes and dislikes.

And she remembered them as well.

There was a twinkle in Adrian’s emotionless eyes as he let her feed him as she wished.

The nauseating sweetness of the pastry that should have left him disgusted usually tasted so pleasantly sweet instead.

As his complexion improved gradually, Ella finally relaxed in her chair.

It was a good thing she was not very disciplined.

She had a toxic relationship with food in her previous life but what never changed was that she was greedy as a hamster when it came to food.

Since she had decided to take a night off from her dieting, she had ordered *cough cough* at least 3 varieties of dessert.

She counted herself lucky.

’’If you don’t feel well, we can just leave...’’

’’Eat,’’ Adrian calmly said, his gaze landing on her tiny hand that had overlapped hers.

Ella’s chubby fingers twitched a bit under his piercing gaze and she immediately retracted her hand.

But Adrian grabbed her hand and intertwined their fingers as he sat as if he was ready for the show.

Ella: "_" When I said it would be nice to sit in the open area where we can watch others, I did not count myself in as part of the show at all.

At a little distance from their table, a man and a woman walked out of a private room.

Suddenly, the man’s footsteps slowed down.

The woman halted when she sensed his movements, ’’What happened?"

’’That back... is it that person?" The man’s gaze had settled on the table in the corner, partly enshrouded in darkness.

A hint of confusion marred the beautiful woman’s face as she followed his gaze.

The woman frowned at first when her gaze landed on Adrian’s back.

From where she stood, she could see Adrian’s back. But Ella, who was sitting right next to him was in the woman’s full view.

Then, her gaze dropped to both the people’s intimate position and their intertwined fingers.

The woman averted her gaze calmly and looked at the man next to her, ’’You are overthinking it. That man cannot be Ace.’’

The man furrowed his brow, ’’Why don’t we go over and check for ourselves? Lilith, I am pretty sure...’’

The woman named Lilith waved her hand calmly, ’’The figure might be a little similar but didn’t you notice the situation at that table yet?"

The man was confused, ’’That... girl is rather unpleasant to look at. Logically, Mr. King shouldn’t be...’’

’’That’s not even the point,’’ Lilith calmly turned around and continued walking towards the exit, ’’Pretty or ugly, fat or skinny, what kind of woman has Ace not come across? Have you ever seen him sparing them a single glance?"

The man who was following her lowered his gaze for a second.

’’He would not even look at them, let alone hold their hands affectionately. He simply hates being touched by women. What, you don’t agree?"

The man sighed, ’’Now that you put it like that, it is indeed the case. Other than you, no woman has ever been able to breathe in his vicinity.’’

Lilith acknowledged his words with a casual ’hmm’ before she spoke again,"Oh, by the way, how is the search going so far? Did you get any leads?"
