And occasionally, he would look at the puppy on her lap that was being held and stroked by her.

Riri was initially looking at Ella with big eyes when a huge palm zoomed in infront of his eyes.

And in the next moment, he was encased in the palm with his head peeking out.

Riri swished his tail.

Composed as ever, Adrian placed the puppy in his basket.

’Woof woof’ Riri swished his tail even harder.

’’Quiet.’’

’Woof’ This time, the puppy’s voice was even softer than before, almost inaudible.

Ji Yan did not know if he was hallucinating but Riri’s docile bark almost sounded like, ’Yes, daddy. I know. I will be quiet because Mommy is sleeping.’

And to that, Ji Yan wasn’t sure whether he should laugh or cry.

’Little master, ah, little master, if you couldn’t tell that your daddy is jealous of a puppy like you, I feel sad for you.’

Ji Yan snuck a glance at his second master who had inched closer to Ella at some point and fell speechless.

On the backseat, Adrian sat next to Ella without a single change in his expressions.

His legs were crossed, his back was straight and his gaze focused forward.

Ella’s head kept nodding off but it still did not touch his arm.

Adrian’s brows tugged together.

Ji Yan closed his eyes and swerved his car towards the left.

On cue, Ella lost her balance and landed on Adrian’s lap.

Her eyes opened slightly, a hint of confusion muddling her vision.
