Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon-Chapter 667 - 666: Terrible Matchup
If there was anybody that was observing the fight between Corey and Savage, the one question that would be on the person's mind is why Corey had not killed Savage despite having so many opportunities to do so.
And the answer to this question was both simple and arrogant.
He was using Savage as his test subject.
Savage was a peak Tier 5, and Corey had just advanced to Tier 3. As a Tier 2, he could hold his own against some Tier 5s, but what were his limits as a Tier 3?
With his newly gained abilities and physical attributes, his battle prowess had drastically increased, and with the upcoming chaos that he was going to cause in the Underworld, he needed to know his limits.
He had this thought after he killed Savage's younger brother, Lyam.
The reason why he chose not to kill Orpheus despite having the chance to do so was because he wanted to plant a poisonous bug inside his body.
It was the moment he sliced off Orpheus' arm that he planted the bug inside Orpheus' body, and he used the bug to figure out the location of Savage because he was not in the public headquarters of the Legion of Nightmares.
He thought that fighting Savage would make him to fight to his limits because of his reputation as one of the strongest amongst the Underworld residents.
However, from the moment he saw that the core of Savage's battle prowess revolved around using spirits, he knew that he was a bad matchup for Savage.
Whenever Savage fought in the Underworld, most of his opponents could not see his spirits, and before they knew it, they would be killed by Savage's contracted spirits.
As for those that could see it but had a weak mind and spirit, they would either become fearful or become insane.
Those that could see his spirits usually saw an outline of the spirits, and this outline usually terrified them.
As for those who had strong minds, they had to deal with Savage's physical prowess that was higher than the racial limit of humans.
These were the main reasons why Savage was regarded by some Underworld residents as one of the most powerful beings in the Underworld, and he was even regarded by some as the strongest Underworld resident.
Corey knew all of this, and he was immensely disappointed because his wishes were not going to be fulfilled.
Apart from his Title as a Walker of Dreams and Nightmares, and his ability to conjure Dreamfire which was highly effective against spiritual beings and things related to the mind, his physical stats could not be ignored.
As a being that broke the limits of the Universe, his physical stats could not measured by common sense, and it was even difficult for him to equate his physical stats to the realms that were still in the limits of the Universe.
Savage's ability to contract powerful spirits was useless against him, and his physical stats which he was proud of because it was above the racial limit of humans was also not a great advantage against Corey.
Was it speed?
Was it strength?

Was it constitution?
Corey knew how to make up for the slight deficiencies that would have given Savage an advantage in the fight against him, and this made Corey to be immensely disappointed when he began fighting Savage.
However, just as he was about to make the decision to kill Savage and end it once and for all, he saw a vision.
In the vision, he saw an enraged and transformed Savage, and the aura he sensed from the Savage in the vision made his spine tingle.
It was comparable to a Tier 6, a low level Tier 6. Although it was just comparable to a low level Tier 6, the difference was immense.
The vision ended, and Corey instantly knew the cause behind the vision.
The Eyes of True Judgement.
Because of his desire to fight to his limit, the Eyes of True Judgement showed him the best path to get what he wanted, and Corey was stunned by this because he never knew the Eyes of True Judgement worked like that.
The Eyes of True Judgement was an ability he was still trying to completely understand, however, with what he knew, the ability he received from the second Tribulation of Hell was basically a life saving skill, a skill of paths.
After he saw the vision, he knew what he had to do.
Enrage Savage till he transformed.
He had no idea how he was to do such a thing, however, he succeeded.
A tense silence filled the room as both Savage and Corey stared at each other in the eye.
Corey's pure white eyes and Savage's pure black eyes.
Corey's body swayed, and in the next moment, the sound of thunder rumbled as Corey vanished from his spot and left a trail of pure white lightning that turned the ground and surroundings to ash.

Corey appeared in front of Savage in the blink of a peak Tier 4's eye. Savage had a calm expression, and his right arm transformed into a scythe-like limb that seemed to be made from dense, living shadows and an obsidian bone.
Clang!
Corey's Dreamfire coated fist and Savage's scythe-like arm clashed and a large shockwave exploded out from the point of contact.
Corey's expression changed when a large cut that almost split his hand in two was reflected in his eyes.
A green, blue, and violet light appeared on his injured hand and in the blink of an eye, he was healed.
'Seems that injuries I receive from spirits on my physical body are easier to heal?'
'Hmm... Strange.'
Corey thought with slightly furrowed brows, and then he shifted his attention back to Savage.
Savage had a deep frown as he saw a large crack on his scythe along with a part of it melting into molten liquid as parts of it fell into the ground.
Remnants of Corey's Dreamfire could be seen on the scythe-like arm, and Savage could see that it was feeding on the spiritual energy and spirits on and in him.
The longer he allowed the flame to burn, the more dangerous it would be for him.
Without hesitation, Savage severed his scythe-like arm.
