Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon-Chapter 702 - 701: The Breakers

After hearing Divine's words about his incompetence as a leader and master, Corey pondered on his words.

He knew that what Divine said was true. He had not tutored or nurtured Selene

or Kiefer in any way possible.

Especially Kiefer who has an extremely high talent. He had personally recruited Kiefer because of his status as a Blessed and his unique body, soul, and talent.

However, despite all of this, he had ignored them and focused wholly on himself.

If he wanted, he could have made excuses and gave reasons as to why he did all of this. However, he chose not to, because he knew they were just excuses and lies he would be telling himself.

He had ignored them because he had never felt like he needed them for anything.

Even in the Shattered Dimension of the Old Ones, Selene died and he barely mourned for her death. He never even spoke to her about her death or apologized for not being able to protect her as her master because he did not truly care.

With his knowledge, talent, and abilities, he was certain that he could nurture and teach Selene and Kiefer to reach greater heights, but he chose not to because he didn't care.

'Even if I don't truly care about having them as servants, especially Selene, I should take responsibility for my actions.'

'If they were to truly die, it would leave a bad taste in my mouth and I don't think I want somebody under me to die. It would make me to seem incapable.' Corey made a resolve to pay more attention to Kiefer and Selene in the future, however, he also knew that the chances of that happening in the Underworld was low because of their plan to leave the Underworld.

Corey looked at Divine, and then he communicated with him by using Breath of Omniscience. This allowed him to communicate directly into Divine's mind, and Divine was stunned when he heard Corey's voice in his mind.

"By the way, what is your plan on trying to find out the traitor? Do I need to know?"

Divine glanced at Corey with a surprised light in his eyes, and then he shook his head.

'I guess he bought a telepathic skill. But skills like that are expensive because of their usefulness. I wonder which telepathic skill he bought.'

Divine thought with a slightly curious expression, and then he also communicated with Corey telepathically.

"If I tell you, you might not react properly and your behavior might alert the traitor."

Corey raised his brows slightly, "I think I'll still react the same even if you told me. I barely react to anything."

"True, but I can't take any chances."

Divine smiled slightly, and Corey shrugged nonchalantly and spoke out loud.

"Alright. Whatever you say."

Divine nodded, and then they entered the meeting room of the Neon Headquarters.

Just as Divine was about to open the door, he paused and looked at Corey.

"Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you. Kiefer and Selene are not here. They're in the training room. I sent them there to train and improve themselves because they're still so weak."

Corey raised his brows slightly, but he didn't think too much and he just shrugged.

Divine turned back towards the door, and then he opened the door.

The moment he opened the door, Corey saw every member of the group.

Rosa, Triple X, Dave, Melissa, and Fatty Black Bonez. They were all seated on a gold plated rectangular table.

Corey glanced at each of them, and they also looked back at him.

"Yo, Smile Reaper."

Fatty Black Bonez greeted with a smile and wave. He gestured to the empty seat beside him, and Corey gave a small smile and sat beside him. Divine walked to the head of the table, and then he sat with a slightly solemn expression.

"Yo Cap, what's up. Why did you call for a sudden meeting and why the solemn face."

Fatty Black Boncz asked with a curious and confused expression, and Rosa, Triple X, Dave, and Melissa also looked at Divine with the same expression.

Divine looked at every one of them, and then he leaned into his chair while tapping the table.

"Because I recently realized something."

Divine paused, and the atmosphere became tense. Corey's expression was indifferent as he also looked at Divine.

'Is he going to talk about the traitor? Now?"

The moment Corey had this thought, Divine spoke.

"We need to decide on a name for the group."

Corey's lips twitched.

"..." Everybody.

Everybody had the same expression Corey had.

Disbelief.

"So, the reason why you had a serious expression and made the atmosphere tense was because we had to decide on the name for the group?" Rosa looked at Divine with eyes that threatened to kill him, and a cold sweat

appeared on his forehead.

He coughed.

"It's actually very important. You know that every other group, even groups that are not as talented as us have a group name. We don't. Everybody just refers us to Divine's group, and yeah, it's nice. But I don't like it. I want

something that stands out."

Everybody had thoughtful expressions after hearing Divine's words, but Rosa scoffed while rolling her eyes.

"We tried forming a name for the group, but I'm very sure you can remember how that turned out. We couldn't come to an agreement and we even argued

intensely over it."

Divine nodded in agreement, "That's true. So, I came up with a solution."

Divine looked at Corey, and Corey raised his brows in confusion.

"Why don't we allow the newbie to decide on a name for us?"

Everybody looked at Corey and then at Divine in disbelief and various other freёnovelkiss.com

"You're kidding me right?"

Fatty Black Bonez exclaimed in disbelief, and even Corey agreed with him. He

was confused as to what the hell was going on.

"You want the newest member of the group to decide on our name? I think

that's insensitive of you as our Captain."

Dave spoke out for the first time since the meeting began, and Corey glanced

at him. Although he was surprised that Dave spoke since he rarely spoke, he agreed with his words nonetheless.

He was a newbie and giving him the authority to decide on a name for the

group was not really right.

"We'll make a vote afterwards, and if majority of us doesn't like it, we'll change it. But if majority of us are okay with it, then that'll be our group name." Divine looked at everybody, and when he saw that nobody was complaining, he nodded in satisfaction and looked at Corey.

"So, Smile Reaper. Can you please come up with a name for us?"

Corey's lips twitched. He looked at Divine and tried to figure out if this was

part of Divine's plan to find out the traitor amongst them.

However, Corey noticed nothing from Divine's expression. He was just... Calm.

Corey's left eye twitched, and then he sighed. His mind came up with numerous names, and approximately seven seconds later, a name he liked came

to his mind.

"The Breakers. Let's call ourselves that... The Breakers."
