Dave’s eyes scanned the system messages, and a smile spread across his face as he saw the rewards he had earned.

The numbers whizzed by, and Dave’s eyes widened as he saw the level up points he had received.

Without hesitation, Dave decided to allocate his points. First, he leveled up his Beast Summoning ability to level 2.

The message hung in the air, and Dave felt a surge of excitement at the prospect of summoning more powerful beasts.

Next, he leveled up his Beast Taming ability twice, and his Beast Control once.

But that wasn’t all, as the system gave him yet another reward. But it wasn’t one he was expecting.

Dave’s eyes lit up as he thought about the potential benefits of this new ability. It was similar to the system tab that had appeared when he fought Ajax back at the casino, but this time, it will be showing him the powers that everyone possessed.

The prospect of being able to gauge people’s abilities with just a glance was exhilarating. Dave couldn’t wait to test out this new feature and see how it would aid him in his journey to survive the apocalypse.

Moreover, after checking out his reward, a thought had came to his mind. And with his mind filled with curiosity he had decided to test out something, especially after Erin told him that she could hear to his thoughts. He wanted to know how true it is.

"Hey Erin, are you there?" he asked within his mind, wondering if she could indeed hear his thoughts like she claimed.

Surprisingly, Erin’s response was immediate, as her voice echoed back in his mind. "What? You have some questions for me?"

A faint smile played on Dave’s lips as he heard her voice. It just went on to show how true it is that she could hear his thoughts.

Then she continued, "Or do you want me to answer as the system?" Erin’s tone shifted, becoming more mechanical and robotic, like the system’s voice that often resonated in his mind.

Dave chuckled to himself, appreciating the difference. "I was just checking to see if you are really in my mind," he said. "And how about you use your normal voice and not the system’s voice. I prefer hearing your pretty voice to that robotic sound I hear every time."

Erin’s response was tinged with amusement. "Are you trying to flirt with me?" she asked, her voice laced with a hint of curiosity.

Dave’s confusion was genuine. "Err, why do you think so?" he asked, his mental brow furrowed in puzzlement.

Yet, Erin’s reply was straightforward. "Because nobody calls a god’s voice pretty. Those who do that ends up having their tongues cut off, or their ears deafened."

Dave’s correction was swift. "You mean demigod," he interjected, his mental voice firm. Erin didn’t dispute it further, but her tone seemed to acknowledge the distinction. "You’re a half human, half god, so I can call your voice pretty without having my ears or tongue damaged." Dave continued, the words flowing naturally in their mental conversation.

Hearing Dave’s words, Erin didn’t know how to reply, he was so good with his words and had caught her red-handedly that she doesn’t know what to say again to defend her claim.

She thought of the right word, but nothing was coming to her. She could only respond with frustration laced in her tone. "You’re so lucky I’m not on earth right now, or I would have kicked your stupid human arse," she growled, her voice rising in annoyance.

Dave chuckled as he teased her further. "And since you’re not on earth right now, then it means I can call you pretty for as long as I want. Then when we meet, you can then kick my arse as much as you want."

Erin’s patience wore thin, and she snapped, "Whatever! You disgusting lovely human! Just shut up and get going. Your wives must be waiting."

"Did you just call me lovely?" Dave asked, teasing her yet again. "I can’t believe a god just called me lovely. And a pretty one at that."

"Youuu... arrrgh!" Erin growled in frustration. "It was a slip of tongue. You’re nothing but a disgusting, good for nothing human." She said, and Dave could have guessed that if she was right here in front of him, her cheeks would be burning hot red right now.

After teasing her a little more, Dave had then ended his mental conversation with Erin as he continued on his journey. He had started making his way towards the building where Ella and Sun were waiting for him, they have been waiting all day long for him, and it was already late in the evening.

After a few minutes of walking, he had eventually arrived at the front of the Korean restaurant, the place where he had sex with Sun, the principal. As he stood there, a group of five beasts emerged from the surrounding buildings, encircling him.

Dave’s eyes narrowed, and his senses were on high alert. But before he could react, three men stepped out of the restaurant in front of him.

The men were dressed in traditional Korean clothing, and each of them held a metal staff with a round orb at the top. They regarded Dave with a mixture of curiosity and hostility. "Well, well, well, you must be the guy that those two women were waiting for," one of them said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "You came very late, man."
