Realizing what he had done, Clift immediately removed the glass and cleaned the table with tissue.

Clift and Jay were stunned for a second and then burst laughing, Jay’s eyes teary from too much laughing "Yeah, you’re right!" He wiped tears from the corner of his eyes, "Go saved Luc then, after that smacked his head for making us worry?!" Jay jokingly said.

Lory raised her fist and grinned, "You betcha!"

Clift covered her laugh with his fist, for the first time after a very long time he felt this time everything was going to be alright.

Suddenly they heard raucous outside the room that immediately diverted Lory and the other attention.

Lory frowns "What is going on outside?"

"I don’t know, by the way, I heard you got a lot of things to share with us" Jay waggled his brows playfully.

"Oh right!" Lory clapped her hands "You go out first, I’m gonna freshen up first!" Lory shooed them.

"Sure, take your time," Clift reminds her not to force herself before he closes the door.

Lory watched the door slowly close and for a while, she became quiet then suddenly she smacked her cheeks and smiled broadly. FINALLY, She finally met them! The people she thought she would never see again, how lucky she is!

Regardless of Lucas’s current situation, Lory was confident she would be able to save him because she had defeated the impossible and this time would not be different.

Yes, she will save Lucas again this time, ’Wait for me, stupid brother!’

The voice was clearer when they went down the stairs and the one who greeted them was an old man swinging his stick to a man on the floor.

"Stupid grandson, how dare you run away from home, think about your age, how can you make me worry about you at this age!" Hugo scolded Ethan fervently.

Lilly was so embarrassed, that she couldn’t stand it anymore, she jumped between Hugo and Ethan to make space between them and then screamed "Grandfather stopped, please calm down! Look everyone watching us, don’t you feel ashamed!"

"Ashamed, what should I be ashamed of? your brother obviously doesn’t care, why should I? With my age, who cares about saving place, I won’t live long anyway!" Hugo was trembling in rage.

"Doubt it, you look like you’re going to live for hundreds of years" Ethan murmured, but Hugo could hear it, inevitably Hugo’s anger flared once more.

"YOU—" Hugo raised his cane again.

Lilly shouted, "Grandpa, stop! Ethan, shut up!" Lilly swiftly pulled Hugo’s arms down and then glared at Ethan.

Amidst all the quarrel no one noticed Zhao Li Xin come down the stairs, he deliberately made his presence unnoticed then he walked to the single chair in the corner of the room near the wide glass window without anyone noticing, after that, he found a book lying on the small table beside the chair. Zhao Li Xin checked the book, coincidently the title caught his attention.

He sat down then put on the earbuds and turned on the sound cancelling, once he got peace and quiet Zhao Li Xin crossed his legs then started reading without care the raucous happened near him.

A few minutes later, Zhao Li Xin glanced at Hugo and Ethan that still exchanging arguments while Lilly caught between them. Zhao Li Xin didn’t take their fight seriously.

Zhao Li Xin could see clearly Hugo didn’t use much force when he hit Ethan, he just screamed a lot but the beating was very weak. Such a blow would only leave a mark for two hours before it completely disappeared, it seemed like Hugo just wanted to vent his stress and worries caused by Ethan and Ethan seemed to understand that because of that he let Hugo hit him and only dared grumble in resignation.

The truth is, even to this day Zhao Li Xin still has a hard time understanding parental love, what it means, or how it feels. Zhao Li Xin noticed someone come down the stairs so he deactivated the sound canceling in an instant Hugo screamed and Ethan wailed assaulting his ears.

Zhao Li Xin took a deep breath and then put her earbuds back in place after that he closed the book and put it back on the table then shifted all his attention to the living room.

"I think Mr. Hamilton realized his mistake," Garrof tried to mediate as he felt sorry for Ethan’s embarrassing situation.

"He’s right Grandpa, sit down or your high blood pressure will rise again" Lilly tried to calm her grandfather.

"Having a grandson like him how can I not have high blood pressure, just wait until you meet your father!" Hugo snorted loudly as he sat down with Lilly’s help.

Ethan winced as he accepted all of Hugo’s blows, Ethan could only accept his fate because deep down he knew how much suffering he had caused his family, and if not because of Princess Lorient’s help Ethan couldn’t imagine how the enemy would use him to put pressure to his family just like what they did beforehand.

Not long after later Clift and Jay came down the stairs together, actually, they were also a bit annoyed because Ethan had endangered Lory’s safety but they also had to accept that it was Lory’s decision.

"Mr. Ethan Hamilton, have you made a decision?" Jay took a seat across from Hugo.

Clift raised his hand interrupting Ethan "Don’t worry about your family, we will send a few Noxcra agents to keep your family safe"

"But if that’s not enough we could move all your family to Harland" Jay added.

"No, I do not agree" Hugo cuts in "The enemy will get suspicion if we all suddenly move to Harland, we still got the upper hand the enemy still doesn’t know the Archknight knew about their plan and we better keep it that way for as long as we could"

"I agree with you," Cliff nodded in agreement. "I heard you used Mr. Zhao’s painting to gather a group of your tycoon old friends."

A sly smile spread across Hugo’s wrinkled face. "Right, and we gather some new ones as well."

"Oh?" Jay and Clift’s eyes lit up in interest.

Lory came down the stairs and everyone immediately stood up from their seats. Lory waved her hand, gesturing for everyone to sit down.

"Your Highness," Hugo and the others simultaneously bowed their heads respectfully.

Clift and Jay got up from the couch so Lory could sit down.
