Reborn In A Cultivation World With All Cheat Abilities
Chapter 73: Godsight
Corrupted Savant and Lyra jumped from building to building, sparks flying in the air as their blades connected with one another.
Lyra eventually saw an opening, a swift plunge through the chest of the figure.
She poked her blade through its chest without hesitation, but as expected, the sword went through, causing zero damage.
Her eyes widened in surprise, she gritted her teeth and dodged a follow up counter by the figure.
’How do I kill something that I can’t damage. Ugh!’ She mused, utterly annoyed by the current situation.
She stood in place, waving her hands in a circular motion. A purple mist seeped out of the ground and enshrouded the shadowy creature, this was an attack she had developed herself, she called it <Purple Death>.
Once any creature was surrounded by <Purple Death>, the chances of survival were next to nothing. It was a mist entrapment that contained over a thousand different poison gases all mixed together.
Being in the vicinity of the attack alone was harmful.
She closed her hands as though she were crushing something in it and the mist tightened around the figure. She was almost certain that even though her weapons could not penetrate Corrupted Savant, this poison attack would have an impact.
Alas, a single dark foot stepped out of the mist, then another, and in a moment, the entire figure of the shadow had escaped the attack unscathed. She struggled to comprehend how she was going to take this creature down.
Jacob stepped through the hole on the side of the building, he was already done healing his partners, so all that was left was to wait for their recovery.
He turned his gaze over to Lyra on a distant roof, she stood at a significant distance from the body of Corruoted Savant, breathing heavily.
Jacob vanished from his spot and appeared directly beside his shadow.
"I see you’re having troubles with my servant here, why don’t you just give up? You’re outnumbered and clearly outmatched." Jacob said, in an attempt to dissuade the woman. He knew the chances of such persuasion tactics working were low, but since reincarnating in this world, he had never really believed in probability.
"I will never give up! Never, not until I wipe you from the face of this earth!" Lyra screamed.
Jacob wondered why there wasn’t already a horde of people watching this battle after all the noise they made, he dismissed the thought as he didn’t care very much. As long as people weren’t dying unnecessarily, he was fine.
"You still have time to stop this, I have no intention of killing you, I understand you are upset, but Savant isn’t the only man in this world." Jacob responded to her, the breeze casually blowing through his hair.
"He was the only man for me! END OF ALL THINGS!!" She yelled as she slammed her hands in the roof.
Dark clouds began to form in the air, swallowing the light as droplets of pitch black rain began to fall from the sky.
Wherever the rain touched, grass withered, trees rotted, and all living things dissolved into lifeless decay.
<End of All Things> an attack that draws all poison in the area into the atmosphere, multiplying it a hundredfold and then releasing it back as a devastating poisonous rain.
Jacob raised a hand, the rain burned his skin slightly, but he healed as quickly as it burned due to his immunity to poison. He could hear innocent wails from afar.
His expression became serious, deciding that enough was enough.
Lyra stood, unaffected by the rain, her eyes were wide with bewilderment. She could not fathom that her most deadly attack seemed like a regular everyday rain to this boy.
"Ho—How!? How are you unaffected?! You should be dying! Die! Die!" She screamed, falling to her knees.
Jacob walked towards her confidently, he neither smiled nor frowned. "There’s one thing I don’t think I ever told you, poison doesn’t work on me." He said as he finally closed the gap, standing directly above the seemingly defeated woman.
Lyra was far from defeated, she watched as Jacob’s tall shadow covered her; then when she decided he was close enough, she went for the kill.
Four small blades lodged in between her fingers as she punched upwards.
But she was too slow, Jacob saw through her attack using <Eye of the monarch> and struck her wrist hard, breaking it. The small daggers fell out of her hands as she screamed, writhing in pain.
She held her broken wrist in discomfort as she knelt on the roof.
"Like I already said, Lyra, I have no intention to kill you..." Jacob started, squatting to look her in her eyes. Her face was covered in mascara as she’d been shedding tears uncontrollably.
"...But I will take your cultivation, the suffering you’ve caused here today, you’ll never be able to cause it again." Jacob concluded, he watched as the woman’s eyes widened in fear.
"No! No! You will not do th—" her words halted as Jacob placed his hand on her abdomen, causing the woman to let out a breath. When he was done, she felt extremely weak, he stood up and looked at her, she only managed to stretch out a hand weakly.
"I drew out your cultivation energy from your core, but I left the foundation intact. Now you are back at the Mortal Realm. You are still able to cultivate, however, but it take forever before you are able to replicate a skill like that again."
The black rain suddenly cleared and the dark clouds parted, Lyra lay there on the roof as Jacob walked away from her.
As he walked he read two notifications that had appeared on a blue translucent screen in front of him.
