Chapter 1203: What Happened to Mo Yuheng

Inside Mo Yuheng’s house, he lay bedridden inside his bedroom while Mo Yiran waited beside him. His face and body were full of wounds and bruises, and he looked to be in pain. Mo Yiran carefully compressed the bruises with a cold towel, her face filled with worry.

Aldrian and his wives landed in front of the house and knocked on the front door.

Hearing the knock, Mo Yiran wondered who it was, but then she heard Aldrian’s voice.

"Excuse me, Miss Yiran, Yuheng."

Mo Yiran’s eyes widened in astonishment, and Mo Yuheng slowly opened his eyes. Neither of them expected Aldrian to suddenly come visit them. Mo Yuheng quickly looked at her.

"Sis, don’t let Mister Aldrian know about my condition," he said.

She wanted to say something, but she refrained herself and sighed. She nodded before quickly walking toward the door.

A few moments later, she opened the door and finally saw Aldrian and his wives standing there. She looked quite astonished.

"Ah, Mister Aldrian, you are already here? But I just heard that you were still at the Monsters World Gate?" she said.

Aldrian smiled.

"Well, we directly flew here after we cleared it since we wanted to check on both of you and Mo Yuheng. Where is he?"

"Ah, uhm, he is sleeping and cannot meet anyone for now, Mister Aldrian. My apologies," Mo Yiran said.

Aldrian knew that she was lying, but his expression did not change.

"Is that so? Then may I know why there is a blood stain on the fingers of your left hand?" he asked.

Mo Yiran instantly looked at her left hand and saw the small blood stain on her fingers. Her eyes slightly widened as she realized it, but she quickly answered in an awkward tone.

"Ah, this? This is because I hurt myself during training, yes. Ahahaha, what an embarrassing sight."

Sylphia and the others already knew that something was wrong with Mo Yuheng. But they let Aldrian continue.

"Really? Then how come I do not see any signs that you just came from training? You are wearing casual clothes and there are no signs of any heavy activity. In my eyes, it is more likely that those blood stains are not yours."

Mo Yiran realized her mistake and wanted to slap her forehead, but she could not show it in front of Aldrian.

She tried to think of something, but nothing came to her mind.

"I... I..."

She was confused about what to answer, but then she heard Aldrian’s question.

"Miss Yiran, where is Yuheng?"

After a few seconds, she finally released a sigh. As she thought, there was no way they could hide something from someone like Aldrian and his wives. From Aldrian’s tone, she knew that he had already realized something was wrong with Yuheng.

"He is in his bedroom. Let me bring Mister and ladies to him," she said as she guided them toward the bedroom located deeper inside the house.

It only took a few seconds to reach it, and although Aldrian felt another sense of nostalgia, he focused on the matter at hand.

He stopped in front of one of the rooms, and it was actually the room Aldrian used in the past when he lived here.

Once Mo Yiran opened the door, Aldrian and his wives finally saw Mo Yuheng lying on the bed with his eyes closed. But the moment he heard the door open, he opened his eyes and looked toward it.

He was shocked to see Aldrian looking at him with a calm expression, but he quickly tried to sit up.

"Mister—"

"Keep lying down if you feel sick."

Aldrian approached him and softly pushed his body back onto the bed using his energy. Mo Yuheng, who could not force himself any further, could only lie down again as he sighed.

He looked at his sister with an expression as if asking, Why did you bring him here?

"Do not blame your sister. Do you think you could hide something like this from me? Even before I arrived here, I already knew about your condition. It is useless to try hiding it," Aldrian said.

Mo Yuheng was stunned, but then he sighed.

"My apologies, Mister Aldrian. I just did not want Mister to see me like this and become a burden to you. You already have done so much for me and my sister."

Aldrian smiled.

"What are you talking about? I already consider you one of my people. You are a talent that I personally scouted, so it is also my problem if something happens to you."

He touched Mo Yuheng’s body and injected his golden energy into him. Mo Yuheng widened his eyes as he felt warmth spread across his body. It felt so comfortable that he forgot about the pain and almost wanted to fall asleep.

While injecting his golden energy into Mo Yuheng’s body, Aldrian also checked his condition.

’Wounds from being hit by hard objects. Some muscle damage. Broken nose. Cracked bones in the ribs, arms, and legs,’ he thought.

Even without anyone telling him, he knew these wounds were the result of some kind of fight where this sort of injury was common. But considering Mo Yuheng’s strength, there was only one likely possibility.

Bullying.

Aldrian suddenly felt irritated that Mo Yuheng had to experience this right after he invited him to follow him. He knew that Mo Yuheng’s life must have been miserable because of his known weak potential.

’I should have left him something before I left a few days ago,’ Aldrian thought.

Mo Yuheng only felt the sensation for five seconds before Aldrian stopped injecting his golden energy. Mo Yuheng blinked a few times as he realized all the pain in his body had disappeared.

Mo Yiran, who saw him looking completely healthy, could only close her lips in shock.

The bruises and all the wounds on his face, arms, and legs had disappeared. In that short moment, every wound healed without leaving even the slightest trace behind.

Mo Yuheng looked at his own body and moved it around. He felt no pain at all, and he stood up to check whether there was pain anywhere else in his body.

After confirming that all his wounds had truly healed, he instantly bowed toward Aldrian.

"Thank you, Mister Aldrian. Once again, you are helping me."

Aldrian waved his hand.

"No problem."

But then his expression turned serious.

"So, would you like to tell me what happened to you?"

Mo Yuheng sighed before sitting on the edge of his simple bed.

"Well, I am sorry if this sounds pathetic, but I fought someone outside of my league," he said in a small voice.

"Because I will leave for Mister Aldrian’s world, I visited some people to say goodbye. There was no problem with that, but the issue started when I met fellow hunters."

He released another sigh.

"Well, in my life as a hunter, I worked as part of the cleaning team because that is the only position available for someone like me who has F-rank potential. There is no team willing to take me in to clear gates."

"When I told one of the teams that I would stop being their cleaning team, they did not take it nicely, especially their leader, and yeah, I ended up getting beaten up. I tried to fight back, but well, obviously I was completely overpowered."

His face looked embarrassed as he spoke, lowering his head.

He felt ashamed for showing how weak he was. Even though Aldrian already knew about how weak he was without him saying anything, he still worried about how Aldrian would react.

Maybe disgust.

Maybe disappointment.

But when he glanced at Aldrian, there was no such expression on his face. There was only understanding, as if he were simply listening to an ordinary problem.

Mo Yuheng could not help but feel relieved.

He had been afraid that Aldrian would think less of him after hearing about his pathetic situation. That was why he did not want Aldrian to see him in such a pitiful condition.

But it looked like he had overthought things. Aldrian was nothing like what he imagined.

He then saw Aldrian smile at him.

"I see," Aldrian replied. "Let me touch your forehead for a moment."

Mo Yuheng did not understand what Aldrian wanted to do, but he simply let him do it.

Aldrian touched his forehead and looked through his memories.

It was much better to see everything himself.

After a few moments, Aldrian finally found what he was looking for.

"So, you want to stop, huh? Then you have to give me fifty thousand yuan for leaving before the contract ends."

A young man with short brown hair spoke with a mocking expression while looking at Mo Yuheng. Four other men stood behind the young man.

"What? But Young Master Pei, there is no such clause in the contract. The contract only says that I can voluntarily—"

Before Mo Yuheng could finish his words, the man suddenly punched him in the face.

Mo Yuheng, who did not expect to be attacked, could only take the punch as he was thrown onto the floor.

After he collapsed, the young man did not stop. He kept kicking him while crazily smiling.

"This is my new contract, you bastard. Take it or leave it. If you leave without paying me, I will pursue you. And if I cannot catch you, then I will target your sister. She is still bedridden in the hospital, right?" he said.

When Mo Yuheng heard the young man mention his sister, he became furious and instinctively tried to attack him. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦

He grabbed the young man’s leg, surprising him, before trying to pull him down.

But the young man did not fall. Instead, he kicked Mo Yuheng much harder, sending him flying several meters away.

Mo Yuheng tried to stand up, but the young man immediately rushed forward and repeatedly punched him.

Mo Yuheng tried to resist with his own punches, but all of them were useless.

Not a single one could reach the young man.

"So now a fucking weakling like you dares to fight back, huh? Where did you get the guts for that?" the young man said while continuing to punch Mo Yuheng before delivering one powerful kick that almost made him faint.

The young man then spat on Mo Yuheng before walking away.

"Remember this. Pay if you want to leave. Otherwise, you will never escape from me," he said before Mo Yuheng finally fainted.
