Carnivals: Claimed By The Deranged Alpha Prince [BL]-Chapter 219: Worried
Chapter 219: Worried
Jules’ pov
My mouth fell open, my heart dropping into my stomach in the next moment as the threat registered within me.
"What?" I whispered, suddenly feeling weak and dizzy. Andrian noticed and held out a drink to me, proving that he was definitely sick in the head.
"Relax, I’m not gonna hurt the kid." He began, the side of his lips twitching in amusement and I felt my knees wobble a little while my heart pounded against my ribs.
"Please don’t hurt him, I beg of you." I cried out desperately, mind racing and he waved me off.
"I won’t hurt him, I give you my word... but only if you agree to work with me. If you don’t, then all bets are off." He explained and I had to breathe through my mouth lest I pass out.
"You- you can’t seriously be threatening me like this, you can’t seriously expect me to just s- sit and let you take my magic, just so you won’t hurt my friend." I cried out and he shrugged a little.
"It doesn’t have to be a bad thing, don’t make it sound like that. Clearly, you don’t care about your magic, I don’t even think you want to get access to it again, plus... you’ve been able to carry on living life without your magic, so it seems like you don’t even need it any longer." He paused before starting to pace around.
"Look at it as me doing you a favor. If you’re left alone with the amount of magic within you, you’d always attract enemies, enemies bigger than your can handle. So, I’m doing you a favor here."
As I stared at him, I realized that he was being dead serious.
"You’re sick." I whispered and he shrugged, crackling a little.
"Perhaps."
"Please don’t do this." I pleaded, hands shaking when I clasped them before me. "I beg of you, don’t do this. For the sake of whatever you shared with my mother, then you should know that she’d never want this." I whispered desperately.
He walked towards me and my heart flew into my throat in panic.
"Your mother and I never shared anything since we were kids." He announced and my eyes widened. I remembered the explanation he gave me after showing me those pictures after rescuing me, he told me they were friends and that my mother reached out to him a few minutes before she got killed.
"Wait, you believed that bullshit I made up back then?" He demanded through a chuckle.
"Your mother and I were once friends, but we fell out. Your mother might seem like an angel, but she’s not. She betrayed me, she judged me, she wronged me." He revealed and my mouth dropped open in shock.
"We were friends, best of friends... but she turned me to the council leaders after I mistakenly murdered someone while messing with dark magic. She told me she’d never judge me, but she did. She wronged me, she ruined my life." His voice was cold this time and I felt chills roll down my spine.
I swallowed emptily, eying him wearily. "So... so this is all because of revenge?" I whispered and he scoffed.
"What? Of course not. I’m not that shallow. I’ve let go of that a long time ago. Now, this is because of the future, because of power. You can be a part of this, if you agree to this, everything would happen with your consent, then you can become great and powerful alongside us, just... agree to work with us." frёeωebɳovel.com
I glanced down at my fingers, heart pounding away in my chest. The fact that this man seriously believe that he could change my mind would have been amusing if the situation was completely different.
"Please don’t hurt anyone because of me." I whispered instead and he arched an eyebrow.
"Does this means you’ll work with me?" He drawled and I swallowed emptily before slowly shaking my hand.
"No. I’m sorry." I whispered and he took a few steps back while nodding. His jaw clenched for a bit.
"Have it your way then."

I felt like I was being watched and I glanced around for the hundredth time but all I could see watching me were curious students due to my mate’s scent clinging to me. Since I now know that Andrian has a few people in here watching me, I knew they’re definitely hidden in the midst of other students. Now, the problem was picking them out, but I know that’s gonna be impossible.
That briefly took me back to the day Kai told me he liked me. He had told me I was being watched, and mow that it had been proven right, I wished I could ask him some questions and get some much needed answers from him, but I know he’s gonna refuse to reveal anything to him expect I agree to be with him.
I groaned within myself as I pushed my hair out of my face, eyes darting around as I took a turn. I eyed the elevator wearily before turning away from it and heading for the stairs instead.
I was on the last flight of stairs because I didn’t feel comfortable taking the elevator just yet, when my eyes fell on Taylor standing at the foot of the stairs. It was like he sighted me and chose to wait there.
I let out a scoff as I slowed down, eyes darting around for Kai or Josh, but it seemed like he was completely alone.
Once I got down from the stairs, I walked past him or attempted to but he stopped me with a grip on my arm.
"Can we talk?"
I eyed the hand on my arm, feeling irritation bubble within me, not just because I now detested him so much, but also id rather not do this right now. The person I wanted to see right now was Elio, whose life is now in danger because of me.
I jerked my hand out of his grip and refused to look back when he called my name a few times.
I boarded the bus transporting the normal students to the dorms once outside the building.
Blaze was currently taking care of something and we were supposed to exit school together, but after knowing that I was the reason that Elio might lose his life, I wanted to see him so bad.
Once the bus pulled up in front of the preys dormitory, I quickly entered the dorm, heading straight for Elio’s room.
He had asked us to hang out later today and is probably already waiting for me, if only he knew the actual reason why I was here.
As soon as he got the open and invited me in, once the door was closed, I did the one thing my heart was pushing me to do.
I pulled him into a tight hug, initiating a hug with him for the first time.
