Carnivals: Claimed By The Deranged Alpha Prince [BL]-Chapter 220: A Deal
Chapter 220: A Deal
Blaze’s pov
I glanced up at the sky for a few moments before scrubbing my hand across my face. My skin felt tight and uncomfortable, I didn’t like feeling this way at all.
I’m supposed to be with my mate right now, but instead, I’m out here, waiting on cousin to show up.
Not Kai, a different cousin.
When I got the text from him last night, I had been unsure it was him at first, but after confirming it was him, I still felt confused as to why he suddenly wanted to see me.
Kendrick is one of the cousins of mine i only saw a couple of times throughout my entire life, because he wasn’t exactly someone to be proud of.
He was Kai’s elder and only brother, but it wasn’t a surprise that they didn’t get along at all. Kendrick was always rebellious, I’ve heard a lot about how irresponsible and reckless he is since he was a child. He was a complete opposite of his younger brother, Kai.
Whereby Kai was a poster child who oozed perfection, Kendrick has never given a fuck and he never bothered to hide that.
I’ve never interacted with him before. The two different occasions whereby I’ve sighted him, we never interacted in those situations, so it definitely surprised me when I got a text from him asking to meet up.
I almost ignored the request. I did ignore it, because I have a deep rooted hatred for all my cousins since it wasn’t news that they all hated me. However, I was curious, because I wanted to know what he wanted, and so I told him I could meet up with him today.
We couldn’t meet up in school because even though certain people could get access into the school, and even though my influence could get him access into the school, I didn’t want him coming into that space at all. Which is why I teleported from school, all the way to this particular location where I told him I’d meet up with him at.
The sight of a sports car pulling up with the roof open indicated his arrival and I scoffed as I pushed off from the wall and put out my cigarette.
Smoking is definitely not advisable, but it helped calm the raging chaos that always goes on within my head.
"Hello, cousin." Kendrick drawled as he stepped out of his car and began to walk towards me. I let my eyes take him in, he didn’t look like what I remembered, he seemed completely different from the last time I saw him a couple of years ago.
"You look different." I noted and he grinned, eyes twinkling right before he appraised me.
"You’ve grown extremely tall, even taller than I am." He stated and I chuckled dryly. My growth spurt had definitely caught me off guard, one moment I was five foot eleven, and the next moment, I was six foot three, towering over everyone.
"What do you want?" I questioned as I eyed him wearily. I was undoubtedly curious, but I also wanted to get this over with as fast as possible.
Kendrick shoved his hands into his pocket and glanced down at his foot for a few moments before taking a small step closer to me. I tried to pick up a look of disgust or judgment on his face but there was none. All I could see was determination and grimness.
"We’re really doing this out here?" He asked, gaze darting around and I hummed with a nod. I picked somewhere secluded for a reason after all, I didn’t want to meet up with him somewhere with other people, Incase something goes wrong. I didn’t trust him after all.
"Yeah, so... get to the point. What do you want to talk about?" I responded and he let out a little laugh while nodding.
"You’re just like everyone described." He pointed out and I felt my jaw tightened a little. It was on the tip of my tongue to ask him what he meant by that, and how other people described me to him, but I refrained from that, because I didn’t care about anyone’s opinion or view about me.
"So, here’s why I’m here." He paused for a moment before continuing. "I take it you’re aware that I don’t get along with my little brother, Kai."
The side of my lips twitched and I refrained from rolling my eyes. That was an understatement.
"Here’s the thing. I know your father involves Kai in all his business and takes him along with him in public times without number." I felt myself grow a little tense at the mention of my father.
"And everyone knows he’s seriously onsidering giving Kai his throne, even though you’re the one in line for it. So, I’m here because I want us to strike a deal."
As I stared at Kendrick right now, a laugh almost bubbled out of me. A lot of possibilities crossed my mind after the text I got from him, but this didn’t cross my mind for a second.
I let my eyes rake over him, from his latest Jordans shoes to the trending Gucci collection’s outfit, all the way to the fancy glasses in his hair. He looked good looking, there was no denying it. He’s an older version of Kai, they both looked like their father.
Kai was the same age as I am, and his elder brother, Kendrick, is in his mid twenties.
However right now, he sounds almost dumb.
"What makes you bold enough to think you’re worth striking a deal with me?" I finally asked with an amused laugh.
I patted my pockets and retrieved my cigarette, lighting a stick up. I took in a couple of drags and let it fill my lungs and then I puffed it out in a smooth stream.
"This is clearly a mistake, Kendrick. I’m not picking offense for you for wasting my time today since this is our first time having a conversation, so just... leave." I breathed out before turning away from him.
His next words made me stop in my tracks.
"I have something definitely worthy of striking a deal with you. Try me." He called out and I considered it for a few moments before turning back around and leveling my Cousin a flat look.
