Chapter 232: Urge to Kill

Jules’s pov

"What are you doing here, sweet thing? Are you here to take Nick’s spot in my harem?" As he spoke, his head was cocked sideways and I felt bile instantly rise in my throat. I wad beyond creeped out from the looks in his eyes tight now and from the words he had just uttered.

Fear was still lingering in every corner of my inside, but I didn’t want to give him the luxery that I was scared of him, and so I cleared my throat and tried holding his gaze steadily.

"That’s the last thing I’d ever do. We’re only here because we want you to..." I trailed off for a moment when the grin dangling around his lips widened. I squared my jaw and continued to speak because I didn’t want to appear fazed.

"We want you to willingly turn yourself in, that’s why we’re here right now."

After a few moments, Malachi burst into laughter. He laughed so hard that he had to lean against his door frame to avoid losing his footing at one point.

"Since when did the both of you become stand up comedians? I’ve never been this entertained in ages." He panted once he collected himself and a scowl appeared on my face while Kim scoffed in irritation.

"We’re not here to play games with you, Malachi. You either willingly turn yourself in or you’d be forced to, nothing’s gonna change that." Hid voice was sharp and filled with anger as he spoke but Malachi only snorted before taking a forward, narrowing the space between himself and an unmoving Kim.

"Since when did you grow the audacity to stand in front of me and threaten me?" As Malachi spoke in a low voice; he gripped Kim’s throat firmly in the next moment. My mouth fell open in horror, heartbeat instantly accelerating as I watched as Kim began to gasp for breath.

"Compared to me, you’re nothing. Did you suddenly forget that? Just because we’re both special students here in this school doesn’t means we’re in the same leagues. You of all people should understand that." His eyes darkened as he spoke and I began go panic, completely unsure of what to do right now.

"What can you do? Huh? Who can you call? Certainly not your father because last I heard, he isn’t your actual father. That’s why you’re currently labeled as disowned, isn’t that right?" He drawled, mockery and amusement clear in his voice. Kim struggled and crawled at his hand, he kicked at Malachi’s shin as well, but that didnt change a thing.

"As someone who doesn’t want unnecessary beef with you, I’d advice you to stop this madness and not get into shit you have no business being involved with. This is for your own good, so just let this quietly die away." Once he spoke finish, he loosened his hold on Kim who stumbled tight into my arms.

I held him against him and instantly confirmed he was okay.

"Fuck you, asshole. This is no unnecessary beef and this concerns me. I promise you I won’t let you get away with this one. You’ll certainly pay for it." He hurled at Malachi, voice shrill and croaked and that made the sick vampire to throw his head back with a crackle.

"Take my advise if you’re as smart as everyone claims." Malachi drawled in response as he took one look at Kim before turning away and heading back into his apartment.

"Monster." I swore and in the next moment, he grew frozen in the spot. As he slowly turned around, my heart flew into my mouth and I instantly began to cuss myself out.

As his eyes locked with mine, a grin tugged at the sides of his lips. He leaned against the edge of the door and folded his arms.

"Care to repeat that?" He drawled, voice filled with amusement and the tone along with the expression on his face grated on my nerves so much.

I swallowed emptily and gathered all my wits together, and then i hesitated for a few seconds because I knew this was a bad idea, but I shut that the rational voice within my insides and quietly sighed.

"You’re a monster." I repeated, voice a little louder this time.

Malachi let out an amused scoff which was tinged with laughter underneath.

"Have you already forgetten how we bonded in the pool on your first day at school? We could do a quick recap to freshen your mind, it won’t take me a minute to get to the pool downstairs." As he spoke, his eyes glistened and my heart flattered, fear swirling through my entire veins.

I swallowed emptily and averted my gaze, unable to meet his gaze any longer.

"Cowering already? Not so bold any longer? I thought you were untouchable after getting marked by that psycho, but I guess that’s not the case at all." He snorted out a chuckle and I let out a long breath, wishing I could be away from here right now.

"Asshole, I’ll get you, before you know it." Kim hurled at him before whirling around and firmly leading me by the arm down the hall and into the elevator.

Once alone with Kim, I slid down the elevator walls and wrapped my arms around my insides, suddenly feeling numb.

After a bit, Kim crouched beside me and nudged my shoulder a little. "You alright?" He asked and I nodded on an exhale, eyes falling on his throat and taking in Malachi’s fingerprints there.

I could feel my mind reeling at the revelation which Malachi revealed about Kim’s personal life. The more I learn about him, the more I find myself growing more and more surprised. Everything about him is all a complete 360 from what I initially thought.

"I want him to die. I wish I could kill him." I finally whispered, voice dripping with so much hatred and Kim sighed beside me, right before his head dropped against my shoulder.

"Me too. Me too."

"Can you kill Malachi for me?"

Blaze’s fingers in my hair froze. We were currently curled up in the bed and I was straddling him while he massaged my back and neck. He hadn’t been pleased on discovering that I want to see Malachi with Kim, without someone to protect me. That was when I decided to bring up the exact thought which I’ve been pondering on since I exited the elevator about six hours ago.

Blaze had a careful expression on his face when our eyes locked and I instantly felt a little shy. His palm cupped my face, thumb tracing my nose.

"You want me to kill someone?" He repeated and I nodded, heart pounding against my ribs.

My mate let out a thoughtful hum after a few seconds. "This is the first time you’re asking me to kill someone before, and my question is... why?"

I bit on my bottom lip and shrugged a little. "But you want to kill him too, right? I’m certain you do."

This time, he chuckled before sitting up, arm still wrapped around my waist. I was currently drowning in his scent and swimming in one of his large shirts. He had scented me thoroughly because of how much I cried yesterday’s evening after discovering Nick’s death, and now I feel drunk on him. ƒгeeweɓn૦vel.com

"Of course I do. But then, I want to kill a lot of people. But, should I give into that urge, then I’d be killing people at every turn I take." He explained, his eyes searching mine.

"Why do you want Malachi dead?" He questioned again, voice soft and comforting and I found myself spilling out how the entire encounter with Malachi had gone and how he threatened kim and myself, and how he also didn’t seem fazed at all.

Blaze hummed once I was done.

"The main reason why you want him dead is because of justice for Nick, right?" He asked and I instantly nodded, biting on my bottom lip again.

"But you were never friends with that omega, right? And you still want to bring him justice?" He asked again and I nodded, feeling a little ridiculous but uncaring.

"I just can’t help it. He didn’t deserve what he went through." I muttered and Blaze kissed my head, massaging my shoulders this time.

"The world doesn’t deserve you." He breathed as he kissed my chin and my heart fluttered.

"Before I agree to this... I want you to remember that you can’t save everyone, or bring everyone justice. Innocent people dies everyday without getting justice and I don’t want you to beat yourself up over something like this again. I know it’s the empath in you.. but sometimes, shit would happen, and life would just move on."

After he explained, I promised him that, even though a part of me was ridden with guilt at the thought of being unable to help every innocent person get justice.

Before Blaze laid back down and pulled me over his chest again, he promised me he was gonna take care of Malachi, and I didn’t doubt any part of his word.
