HDXD: Omni Harem System-Chapter 66: Meow
Chapter 66: Meow
I Am the Alpha.
A mobile gacha game that was basically a mix between kingdom management, beastkin waifus, and war strategy. The premise? You were the Alpha of a growing werewolf empire, and your goal was to conquer rival beastkin nations and unite them under your rule.
But brute strength wasn’t enough to get anywhere in that game.
The game’s main selling point, the thing that got people addicted, was its waifu system.
Every major conquest brings a new named heroine to your pack, and you can keep rolling for stronger beastkin waifus of different races, like werewolves, nekomata, kitsune, and even dragons, each with unique skills that buff your army and shape your empire.
And now, Adam was hearing that the werewolves in this world were the same as the ones from that game.
A game he had played and invested a lot of money on in the past.
Seeing the situation, he could not help but to laugh inwardly, as he jokingly asked.
"Hehehe... So... what, am I supposed to start rolling gacha for SSR waifus now?"
『...No』
The System coldly replies.
"...Damn."
He said, but he expected that answer.
But deep down, a part of him was half-seriously hoping that was the case. If the legendary wives from that game were real... well... That would’ve been interesting, but maybe some of them were here, given this was an AU, but he does not know what to expect from this unpredictable world. freēwēbηovel.c૦m
But right now, he had more pressing concerns.
It was on the topic of this new partial transform limb.
And just how strong he has become.
Curious, he glanced at his other hand, and the same feeling was present in this hand as well, so with a slight push, it also began to transform.
Adam grinned at this, his excitement hard to contain in this instance.
"Again this local adaption shit is awesome."
The sheer power coursing beneath his skin sent a thrill through him. He had no idea how far he could push this ability, but there was one easy way to find out.
His glowing blue eyes flicked toward a massive fallen tree trunk nearby. It was thick, dense, easily hundreds of pounds, if not more.
"Perfect."
He said, an idea emerging in his head as he walked towards the tree.
He rolled his shoulders, loosening up the muscles, as his newly transformed arms tingled, itching to be used.
Gripping the tree with both hands, his claws sank deep into the wood.
Then, with barely any effort, he pulled, rotated, and lifted the entire tree like it was nothing and swung forward, tossing it into the air.
SWOOOOOSH!!
He did not even throw it a full force.
It was just a casual throw, and the moment it left his grasp, the tree vanished. And Adam’s eyes widened as he watched it rocket into the sky.
The giant trunk tore through the dense forest canopy, snapping branches, scattering leaves, until it punched straight through the bed of knot branches and disappeared out of view.
Naturally, of course, he stood there, frozen, as he was shocked by how powerful that throw was.
"...Uh... That... was not what he expected at all."
He said in utter disbelief.
"Are werewolves from I Am The Alpha really that strong? I feel like they were physically lacking."
Adam said, as he knew werewolves from that game were extremely fast, but lack any kind of insane strength, but they make up for it, with their ability to ignore all form of physical durability.
But that aside....
"...I really need to be careful with this."
Adam muttered, flexing his massive claws before willing them to shift back into that of a human.
As a result, the fur receded, and the muscles shrank.
In seconds, his hands were human again.
However, this was not the end, he felt like he could do way more than just partial transformation.
As a matter of fact, he felt a tingling sensation in his spine, similar to the one he felt in both his arms, as such he acted on that tense feeling, and the moment he did...
His body tensed.
The strange tingling sensation in his spine surged, spreading outward like wildfire. His muscles tightened, his bones shifting, his entire frame beginning to morph. But this time, it wasn’t into something massive or monstrous.
No, he was shrinking.
His limbs retracted, his body compressed, and thick black fur sprouted over his skin. His ears twitched and stretched into sharp feline points, his human nose flattening as his face shortened into a tiny, triangular muzzle.
A long, sleek tail flicked behind him, balancing his now miniature frame.
’W-W...What the hell?!’
Adam blinked, or at least, he tried to.
But his vision had shifted; everything seemed larger now, towering over him like he had suddenly stepped into a world built for giants.
He tried to move, and instead of steady, controlled steps, his body instinctively padded forward on four legs.
His fur bristled... and he was right before the same puddle of blood again. As he looked into it, and what he saw shocked him.
"...No fucking way."
『Congratulations, Master... You pick up on your newly acquired nekomata trait: Full Cat Transformation』
His tail lashed behind him.
Adam groaned...or at least, he tried to. What actually came out was a low, irritated meow.
Of all the things I could’ve gotten...
This was not what he expected.
Partial transformations? Sure...
Enhanced senses? Expected...
But an entire cat form? Made sense, but still...
As much as he wanted to question it, the System’s words confirmed it.
『This transformation allows you to take on the form of a standard feline. Useful for stealth, reconnaissance, and mobility. Being a black cat also gives you better camo than other cat types while in the dark...it also comes with nigh-vision』
The System explained, and looking his reflection again, he began to think more on it, as just lick his paw, for some reason this just felt right, but his mind drifted on the pro’s here.
"Yeah, that would make sense."
He said to himself.
As his voice as a human remained in this form, so communication was indeed possible.
But before he could even register what had happened, a piercing scream split the air.
"AWWWW!!"
Adam quickly recognized the voice as he looks North in panic, and shouted.
"KIERA!"
Adam’s ears flicked, his body going rigid.
"Shit!"
He didn’t even think...his instincts took over. His feline body coiled, his back legs tensed, and in an instant, he bolted.
The world blurred around him as he dashed forward with an impossible speed that seemed uncanny on a cat, given he was running faster than even a fired crossbow bolt, weaving effortlessly through the burning wreckage, his tiny paws making barely a sound.
