Reincarnated as the Elder's son: My Infinite Shop Points System-Chapter 33: Rewarded task.
Chapter 33: Rewarded task.
The next day, after Jared had successfully rid the land of the excess mana that was infecting it.
He planned to move to the next stage, which was giving it enough nutrients to get it back to its default texture.
Right now, even with the mana and water gone, the soil was still not fit for planting, at least not yet.
For that, he made his purchase again from the system.
[Compost bags (200 sp): Nutrient-rich compost to restore dead soil’s fertility.]
[Vitality seed (300 sp): Magical seeds that grow briefly and decay, infusing soil with life force.]
He bought compost bags, 15 in total, and 10 vitality seeds, making him spend a total of 6000 sp.
At the end of the day, he was left with a measly 130 sp.
Once all these had been gotten, he had the rest of the village handle it.
Ten workers spread the compost across the field, mixing it into the dirt, to make it darken and feel rich in texture.
Once they were done with that, he and the girls planted the vitality seeds in different positions on the field, leaving enough space for them to cover the whole area.
According to the system, it should take at least a full day for the seeds to sprout and bloom, and by midnight, they should decay into a nutrient burst.
So now, Jared waits.
"Ahh~"
"Oh yes, that’s the spot. Keep going..."
Jared lay down on the bare floor in his room, Ria and Lucy each massaging different parts of his body.
Perhaps it was their way of showing affection since he had been working all day, but whatever the case may be, Jared was enjoying every second of it.
As he remained on the ground, his head resting on Lucy’s very soft thighs, she had her hands on his shoulders, seemingly rubbing them slowly as best as she could.
While Ria took his legs, using her soft limbs to press his muscles and bones.
"I...is this alright?" asked Lucy, her hair falling in front of her, but she could still see Jared’s face clearly.
He had a smile on his face, one that he could not hide even if he tried to.
"I guess it is..." Lucy giggled.
"Oh, that reminds me, brother, what do you plan to do about that guy that returned Kiara to us? We didn’t kill him or anything, so he may come back, right?" Ria asked.
Jared really didn’t want to answer that question, not when he was enjoying himself from the massages.
Then again, it’s his sister.
"I expect him to come back any time soon. But it’s not exactly something to worry about. By then, we would have already been strong enough to stand up to him," he replied. freeωebnovēl.c૦m
"Ohhh? You mean with that weird weapon you gave me the other day? I enjoyed every bit of it. If I’m being honest, I was planning on asking you to let me keep it."
"Keep it?"
This was where Lucy chimed in...
"Lady Ria has been standing on top of the cliff and practicing with it every evening. I think you called it a sniper? Although she didn’t try to shoot it since it has such a loud noise, I’ve got her using it to spy on everything outside the village."
Jared listened.
’Now that I think about it, my sister doesn’t exactly have any OP ability like Lucy or William. In this world, not everyone can be blessed with the star ability. And I’ve never seen my sister use any kind of magic for combat or anything related.’
He frowned a bit.
’Unlike me, she has no means of defending herself. Yeah, that’s not a very good fit.’
Jared now sat upright, his face very close to his sister’s.
[You have activated your blessing from the god of information.]
[Name: Ria Hunter.
Relationship: Elder sister.
Abilities: Cooking, Silent steps, Locked aim.
Special abilities: None.
Current emotions: Love, excitement.]
"Give me a few days, I’ll design a weapon specifically for you."
"Really, brother?! Similar to that sniper thingy?!" Ria leaned even closer.
"Even better. Don’t worry about it, and leave everything to your little brother."
’Another task to add to my list of responsibilities.’
[The god of Loyalty sympathizes with you.]
[The goddess of trade wants to help as best as she can.]
[The god of information wants to recommend you to another god.]
[A donation of 1000 sp has been made.]
’I can’t tell if these gods are mocking me or genuinely care.’
He went back to resting his head between Lucy’s thighs.
The next day, Kiara was the first person to get to the farm and noticed that the seeds had indeed bloomed like Jared said, and they had all decayed.
With that, even without touching the soil, it was clear how healthy and nutritious it was compared to its previous state.
The work paid off.
But Jared didn’t plan on assisting any longer as he had done his part.
Instead, he gave them some of the seeds he had purchased from the system: apples, wheat, and so on. And alongside that, he gave them a map, a map that illustrated how the seeds and plants would be rotated over the months.
Crop rotation.
It felt weird to them at first, but once he explained how it was going to lead to a larger range of crops and products, none of them really had any reason to doubt him.
Following the next few days, six people from the village officially became farmers and were tasked with taking care of the farm.
Two females and four males.
With the tools and everything Jared had provided for them, they didn’t really have any issues. In fact, for some reason, all they wanted to do was make progress and have Jared praise them for their work.
Everything was going well.
Until...
"Lord Olsen would like to have a word with you, Chief of Sikone village."
Standing at the entrance of the gate were four men riding on horseback.
Each one of them, followers of Olsen.
