Soon, Jared found himself standing at the center of a field in Ragoon village.

The entire place was surrounded by other villagers who had come to see Olsen battle a random man that came from another village.

This wasn’t the first time Olsen had gotten into a fight; in fact, the whole reason the arena existed was due to the culture that was in Ragoon village.

Every month, Olsen would challenge anyone in the village to combat, including the strongest, Orlando.

This was why he was feared in the north, as people had speculated he was a six-star rank.

Standing in the arena with him, Olsen had only his pants on; his top was gone, revealing different markings drawn on his chest.

He held a blade, while the villagers stood around him, but giving enough space not to influence the fight, the only thing they did was continually praise and hype him up.

Jared was the same, except the women around him didn’t think he was going to win any battle against Olsen.

"Lord Jared, please rethink this. I know you have a plan, but let me do it instead; that way you wouldn’t have to face a man that no one knows anything about," whispered Lucy to Jared.

"I agree with Lucy, this is too dangerous. If anything were to happen to you, Lady Ria won’t let us hear the end of it," Kiara joined in.

All the while, Jared was walking around the side of the arena, looking for a weapon he could use for battle.

He understood their worry; in fact, he never planned to have a fair fight to begin with.

But seeing as a new god had begun to observe him, and it was one that dealt with combat, his worries faded away.

"You guys worry too much."

Jared voiced out as he grabbed a spear from the weapon stand.

[The god of combat has acknowledged your weapon.]

[You have unlocked a new mastery.]

[Spear of Demolish: You can now use any spear and use them effectively with each having their own unique attributes.]

[The current spear you hold has the attribute of maxed ability.]

A smile formed on his face.

And then he turned around to look at Olsen, who was waiting patiently for him.

’I would have suggested using the god of information again, but I guess it’s still going to be limited, so I won’t be able to see Olsen’s rank. But since he had that OP ability damage multiplier, it’s safe to say, either he has a new rank(Sixth star), or his special ability is just that great. In any case, I’ll be fighting him.’

"Lord Jared, are you listening to me?!" Kiara grabbed him by the arm, her face close to his.

"Oh, I am. But you need to relax and trust me. I wouldn’t make a decision if I wasn’t sure it would work," Jared replied before yanking his arm and walking towards the arena.

He most definitely wasn’t sure if he would win.

Only people who have attained five-star gain special abilities, which are strictly for elemental and so on.

As such, those with six stars unlock something different, though Jared doesn’t explicitly know what that would be.

When he checked Olsen’s character profile, he had special abilities; does that mean he is also a six-star? Stronger than Orlando?

If he was, there’s no way he wouldn’t have chosen to brag about it when he could.

Then again, he has never been afraid of terrorizing people’s land, so that’s not completely off-putting.

Now standing in the arena, a few distances away from where Olsen is, he could hear the cheers of the people, itching to see a battle between the two.

[A lot of the gods are eager to watch you fight.]

[The goddess of trade is worried.]

[The god of combat has confidence in her blessing.]

’Tsk, it better be.’

"Are you ready for our battle? Seemed like you were having second thoughts there, you scared?" Olsen teased.

Taking a deep breath, Jared didn’t say a single word.

Instead, he held the spear upward, his legs curved in a cowardly way while his entire body was shaking in fear.

Lips shivered, and limbs turned pale.

Gulp!

"I-I’m ready..." he ended up replying.

Olsen stared at him for a while; it was quite obvious that Jared was terrified, at least from his point of view.

The sight alone made Olsen feel a new type of satisfaction.

If he was to defeat Jared right there, not only would he earn even more respect from his people, he would also incite fear inside Jared, making him do whatever it is he wanted.

"Ready yourself."

Olsen took a fighting stance, his eyes focused.

[You are currently using the god of information’s blessing.]

Boom!

Olsen charged forward, covering the distance in a matter of seconds.

The attack was swift and fast, one that Jared could easily have countered.

But yet-

Clank!

He blocked the sword strike instead, the force pushing him back a few distances, but he was still on his feet.

Finding his balance, Jared immediately went on the defensive again, his shakiness still painfully obvious.

But Olsen was too excited to notice tiny details.

Launching himself forward again, Olsen threw yet another attack; this time, even though Jared was only able to block by a hair’s breadth, the attack still sent him flying and falling to the ground.

’Seems I was right, the way his ability works is not complicated. Rather, it’s simple. The more he attacks, the stronger they get.’

Jared thought to himself as he calmly sat upright, watching as Olsen was storming towards him with a smile on his face.

’Not to speak of his second skill which makes his defense high, or perhaps it has a glitch somewhere. Either way, I can now understand why he was unbeatable for the most part.’

Now standing on his feet, Jared held his spear, the bottom resting on the ground.

’But a wall can be broken regardless, and since I’m definitely agile, I just have to make him say the words, I give up.’
