Reincarnated as the Elder's son: My Infinite Shop Points System-Chapter 38: A Victory.
Chapter 38: A Victory.
Raggggh!
Olsen launched yet another powerful attack, and as expected, Jared managed to dodge it again.
The fight in question had been going on for so long, all with Jared moving around swiftly, making sure none of Olsen’s attacks came anywhere near him.
And for the most part, he was doing a good job.
The audience who were watching the fight in hopes that once again Olsen would win another battle were beginning to have second thoughts about it.
Even Kiara and Lucy were confused and yet glad Jared had not gotten injured in any way.
With every attack Olsen threw, their hearts raced with fear, only for Jared to evade the attack.
"Dammit, stay in one place, you brat!" yelled Olsen.
Panting heavily, he turned around to look Jared in the eye.
Unlike him, who was getting exhausted, Jared didn’t seem to even look the least bit tired.
[Olsen is annoyed at your persistence.]
’Good. I wouldn’t have it any other way.’
Jared replied to the system, the spear in his hand as he watched Olsen once again charge towards him.
Taking a slight step to the side, Jared was able to avoid getting sliced by Olsen’s attack.
A frown showed on Olsen’s face. He didn’t let up; he once again attacked, trying to move faster to catch up to Jared.
The fight went on for a very long time, until the sun was going down.
Most of the people watching were already bored, but they couldn’t look away as nobody wanted to miss how the battle would go.
Ggam!
Olsen fell to his knees, his entire body drenched in sweat. The blade slipped from his fingers and fell to the ground, his breath heaved and heavy, almost like he was going to die from exhaustion.
"H...how..." He could barely make a decent word.
Standing in front of him, Jared gently bent, the spear resting on his shoulder.
It was then the system notification showed up.
[The character Olsen has expired the use of his artifacts.]
[Attributes have all been removed.]
"Ohhhh?"
A different kind of joy rushed inside Jared’s body as he saw the notification.
"I really did wonder how you were able to get two different special abilities despite not being a five-star or a six..."
Olsen’s eyes widened, realizing he was about to be found out.
"...wait..."
"Turns out trading wasn’t the only thing you were doing with the outsiders...was it now?"
Olsen slowly raised his head to look at Jared, and he was met with a sight that sent shivers down his spine.
Staring back at him, Jared had a devious look on his face, the face of a man ready to destroy another.
"Which leads to my next question, how much of the village funds did you spend to use those artifacts to gain special abilities?"
Olsen’s face turned purple, fear already taking over.
He looked towards the audience, trying to be sure none of them heard what Jared said.
If people were to know the only reason why he was strong was due to the artifacts he was buying from the outsiders, it would cause a lot of issues for him.
Not only would his people question him for using the money in such a way, a lot of people would start doing the exact same thing, meaning more people to stand up to him.
Swallowing his pride, Olsen uttered with a low tone...
"Fine, I give up."
"Sorry, what was that? I couldn’t quite hear you through the crowd and..."
"I give up!!! You win!!!"
Olsen yelled out of frustration, everyone in the arena hearing his voice.
And that placed a smile on Jared’s face.
[You have defeated Olsen in combat.]
[The goddess of combat is impressed by your strategy.]

Jared had won.
Later that day, Jared made him sign the contract; though it took yet another layer of convincing, he still managed to get it done.
Unlike the world where he came from, people signed contracts using their blood; that way, it would be used to identify who signed without forgery being included.
Once he was done signing the contract, Jared and his people took a carriage from Olsen back to their village. frёeωebɳovel.com
In all honesty, Jared expected Olsen to send some of his men after them as they were going. Fortunately, Olsen had his pride and didn’t do so.
After a while, they arrived back at the village, only to be greeted by everyone who was waiting for their return.
Since it was nighttime, all of them headed to bed to rest their heads.
Jared was the only exception.
He was in his room, seated on the ground with the system light glowing on his face.
[Current Sp: 4200 sp.]
[Gold necklace (20,000 sp): A necklace made with pure gold.]
[Diamond ring (500,000 sp): A ring made of pure diamond.]
Staring at the screen with utter disappointment, Jared couldn’t help but sigh.
He was well aware of the potential prices of diamonds and gold, but to actually see them was frightening.
Diamonds and gold, two of the most valuable materials in the entire world.
Having just one of these was instant wealth.
If Jared were to monopolize anything, it would be these two materials.
Leaving aside the fact that diamonds don’t exist in this world, most of the gold that is turned into jewelry is often bland and pale in comparison to the modern world.
With his materials from the modern world and help from the merchants Olsen was going to give him, he could make thousands of gold eres.
But first, determining the exchange rate was key.
Thankfully, he had some money he could use, something his father had kept in a safe in case of emergencies.
In his hand were three bronze eres.
"Trade."
[Would you like to trade 3 bronze eres with the system?]
"Yes."
[Request confirmed.]
[Trading is now in progress...]
[Trading completed.]
