Reborn In A Cultivation World With All Cheat Abilities
Chapter 88: The Shadow Over Wutherhorn
"Whoa! So you were in the Ten Thousand Beast Forest?" Rob asked Light, flabbergasted by all the adventures the boy had just summarized in less that a hundred words.
"Yes! And I gained a cool new power, hey! Check it out!" Light immediately began to demonstrate his Radiant Shadow powers by infusing his left and right hands with dark and light energy respectively.
The two guard brother stared at his powers in shock, their eyes and mouth wide. If one looked close enough, it could be seen that they were drooling.
They had no idea the boy was alive, or that he had finally awakened such a new ability.
Light saw Rob and Bob as his friends, which is why he didn’t mind showing them a glimpse of his new powers. He didn’t fear any backstabbing or betrayal from any of them, at least he hoped.
They were loyal to the Primarch, and loyal to the heirs, meaning they were loyal to him.
It was at that moment Light turned back and noticed Jacob and Xenia climbing up the stairs and into the building.
"Wait Wait!" He shouted as he ran after them.
He eventually reached where they were, panting hard as he struggled to catch his breath.
’Damn I got tired after such a short run, I really need to get back in shape.’ Light mused inwardly.
"Lord Wutherhorn, lovely to see you back at the manor." Heimdall opened his arms to portray a welcoming body language. "I must say, you left your mother and father in a rather precarious situation, they were subjected to judgement and ridicule from most of the other houses.
Heimdall had adopted a rather mocking tone now as he spoke to Light, facing the young man’s direction with his eyes closed.
Light paid no attention to the tone of the man and proceeded to make his own remarks. "Heimdall, you look as put together as you’ve always been, and yes I had a really exciting adventure I can’t wait to tell them about. Especially mother, how is she?" Light inquired with the same smile that hadn’t left his face this whole time.
"I can’t wait to hear about your adventures my Lord, your mother is as ravishing as ever..." Heimdall paused, he turned to Jacob and Xenia, as though he was struggling not to reveal the next piece of information to them. "...Your father, not so much."
Light’s smile vanished along with Heimdall’s sentence, it was replaced by a worried expression.
"What’s wrong with him?" Light asked.
"I’m afraid I can’t say, follow me. Jacob, Xenia, I will have Emily show you to your room. The young Lord will be taken to his father’s chambers at once." Heimdall gestured to a small woman who walked up to them gracefully.
She was a small, young maiden, she had bright green eyes and long flowing green hair. She didn’t look much like a servant, Jacob found her extremely beautiful, moreso than Xenia.
He couldn’t take his eyes off her, wondering how such an insignificant person could move him so much.
Xenia caught his stare and after a while, she averted her eyes.
They followed the small woman to the right side of the manor, up the stairs, while Light was directed by Heimdall towards the opposite end of the building.
"Xenia." Light called out, forcing the woman to turn back and look at him, then he waved, smiling. Xenia couldn’t understand him so she just smiled with her mouth closed.
As they moved across the hall, dozens of maids stood in awe of the specimen that was Jacob, just like they had done in Unity Town, he heard them whispering to one another.
"Oh heavens! Who is he?"
"He’s even more handsome than any of the Primarch’s sons!"
"Is he going to be staying here?"
"I just want to bite him!"
The whispers and giggles continued for as long as he walked through the hall.
He enjoyed the attention more than anything, even though he had never actually been with a woman in this world, he knew that it would be easier than catching a rabbit.
He knew he had time, so he wouldn’t want to rush anything.
"This is your room, My Lord... and My Lady." Emily finally spoke, opening a large wooden door to a bright room, with blue curtains and a single large bed in the center of the room.
’They couldn’t even provide a double!’ Jacob mused, frowning at the room. Other than that, everything was great.
Jacob noticed that the girl had a nervous tone whenever speaking to him, he liked that. He wanted more people to be intimidated while talking to him.
They walked into the room slowly and looked around slowly, the room looked clean as though it had just been cleaned.
"It looks nice." Xenia spoke for the first time since they entered the building. Jacob looked at her and nodded, he wasn’t exactly impressed that he had been given such a room, but he wasn’t staying here long.
The Wutherhorns were a big extended family, and they all lived together, meaning most of the good rooms were already occupied, so this room was made available on short notice.
"It’s okay, better than that nasty motel we stayed at in Myren." Jacob agreed, chuckling.
Xenia still wondered why Jacob had looked at that random woman the way he did, she windered secretly if the woman was more beautiful than her. But she would die before she even asked the Ironfell Heir about such a trivial matter.

On the other end of the manor, Light was led by Heimdall through a small pathway into a bright room, he could see the figures of two people before he walked over.
It was his mother and father, his father lay on what seemed to be a hospital bed, and his mother sat by his side.
"My Lady." Heimdall called out.
The woman looked up and immediately sighted her long lost son, she ran over to him with tears streaming down her face.
"Light!" She reached him in no time and threw her hands around him. His mother’s warm embrace immediately brought tears to his eyes, but he also wondered why his father was laying unconscious on the hospital bed.
Before he could even gather his thoughts, with tears in his eyes, his mother released her hug and looked at him closely.
SLAP!
A loud slap landed on his cheeks, leaving his mother’s pink handprint on his face.
"Don’t you ever! In your life! Do that to me again. Do you hear me!" She colder, he looked at the woman in surprise. She hasn’t changed even a little bit.
He nodded his head quickly, acknowledging her request and rubbed his cheeks, the slap had reset his brain and caused his tears to seize immediately.
"What’s wrong with father?" Light asked immediately.
The woman turned back to the man who lay on the bed, she still had tears in her eyes when she turned her gaze back to Light.
"Unfortunately he’s been struck by the dark plague, he’s been like this for two years. You know your father—He’s strong, but I don’t know how much longer he can hold on." She cried.
Light could only stare at his father, a once feared Lord of ten different houses, now laid, shriveled up on some random hospital bed.
